Match fixing: at the top level it's not corrupt players who are the problem, it's referees. Players get so much money now it's gonna be hard to bribe them, but referees still get paid peanuts (comparatively) so surely they would be more vulnerable. They have so much protection nowdays too with everyone sticking up for referees it's embarrassing and it can't be that hard to find an excuse to book a certain player, or not book someone, or give a team a penalty, or not give one and so on. Imagine if someone's giving you £1m to book a player or red card a certain player, you'd have enough leeway in a match to do it easily. I think referees should be under much more scrutiny and I've had enough of this 'it's a subjective decision' crap, some are borderline but there should be some sort of incentive for giving a good decision and punishment for every wrong decision. Or else bring in video referees and get rid of that useless man with a stick 5th referee!
