cheating??? Ramos made contact with him. Yes he made the most of the contact but it was a penalty. he was the last man and the red card was correctly shown.

Ronaldo's was outside the box and a free kick.

Neymar was beyond poor. Pedro>Neymar

Di maria was exhausted after all that energy he used in the 1st half. Barca then started to dominate the midfield.

Man of the Match: Iniesta, Messi and Pique also could of gotten it. Ronaldo was in pique's pocket.
Flop of the Match: Neymar

It was still a hell of a game and now Atletico are on top of the table!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Neymar lol and Bale running the ball out too often, wasn't exactly spectacular either. Both failed to justify their price tags.

I didn't know breathing was making contact. You learn new things every day though!

I mean seriously, if you really think that Ramos made contact and that Neymar didn't dive ridiculously then I'm just speechless. It was a very bad dive btw, because nobody falls spinning in the air like that...

And diving IS cheating, no matter how you look at it, and the fact that some people think it isn't doesn't speak well of football

Ramos clipped Neymar's ankle.

I didn't know getting clipped while running forward with a considerable amount of momentum DOES NOT lead you to wildly twist and land on the ground. And all of that isn't worth an immediate red card when the last man does it against the attacker in the penalty area.
You learn new things everyday!

Clipped? More like grazed, and I'm not even sure Ramos grazed Neymar's ankle because saying it that way is already exaggerating the amount of contact on that play

If that's a penalty then we would have 40 penalties called every match, ffs...

I'm not even sure how we are debating this.

Not only was it a dive, it was a terribly executed one as well. Take the Sturridge dive against Manchester united for example. That was a dive but it was difficult to spot for the referee because it was clear that Vidic didn't get anywhere near the ball and impeded Sturridge's path even though he didn't touch him. Ramos made no challenge/tackle and Neymar clattered his legs into each other in order to fool the referee.

I was expecting this before the match and el classico never disappoints when it comes to terrible refereeing (3 non-existent penalties yesterday) and cheating galore

LoL Am I blind or something. You and DU are probably set in your view of the game, but go and watch the replay over and you can see that neymar gets clipped by ramos via his ankle. He was the last defender so the red card was justifiable.

I must be blind.

Listen I get it neymar has "dived" in the past but yesterday ramos got his ankle and at that speed neymar was always going to go down. Like what Peter crouch said some ages ago He made sure the referee saw it.

On the penalty incidents:
1. Ronaldo's wasn't but at first view(which is what the referee had to make the decision) I thought it was a pentaly and a lot of other people. Yes in hindsight it wasn't but the referees are still human and errors will be made.

2. As I said before neymar's ankle got clipped by ramos. Penalty and red card. No two ways about it.

3. Alonso wasn't even trying to get the ball. Dani Carvajal doesn't foul and Alonso's first try at Iniesta isn't one either. But the World Cup winner's knee into Iniesta's thigh is a foul anywhere else on the pitch and, thus, a penalty.

first one wasnt a penalty because it was outside of the box

the one for barca through neymar wasnt a penalty either because of a neymar offside

but if you think any of the called penalties were dives, then youre a moron rofl. those were clear penalties and yes, they might have "exaggerated" their falls but there was still significant contact to cause loss of balance. i can tell who in this thread doesnt play football by who says "yeah it was just a little grazing!!!" rofl get out of here, in 10 years of playing football ive been on the fouling and fouled side and i can tell you certainly that that kind of contact will always make you fall. if a player exaggerates thats another issue, but take for example Muller in an UCL match (idr vs who it was), he got clearly fouled in the box, obvious penalty. but instead of staying on the floor he instantly went back on his feet after falling and because of that they didnt call a penalty even though it was a blatant one. you cannot blame players for not standing up after they get clipped rofl.

"waa waa madrid and barca dive" dumass bpl fangirls. im sure its much better over there where suarez, hazard and sturridge are

ive played football at semi-professional level and i also play rugby for my university's first team, that kind of contact does not make you fall over rey - he couldve stayed on his feet if he wanted to.

as long as there is contact made, its a free. It would not have come to the refs attention if he didn't dive however

Contact =/= foul.

The worse thing about it if you watch it again is the way he tangled his feet together to make it seem like he was fouled.

Honestly, it says a lot about Neymar when he is more confident in his diving ability than his ability to finish a one vs one with the GK. He had already missed one pathetically when he sent through on goal by Messi in the first half. Most overrated player on the planet and a cheating scumbag.

I have played football and basketball for a long time, and 2 years in a football team when I was in high school too, and I know what a little grazing is and how to tangle your foot when setting it on the ground to fall on purpose. So don't use that argument, please. It was a dive no matter how you look at it, he didn't lose stability by any means and if you look carefully it's pretty clear that he was tangling his foot on purpose to make it look like a foul.

Oh and just to be clear I'm rooting for Atletico to win La Liga 13/14, mainly because I think it's boring and bad for the competition that Real Madrid/Barcelona are the only teams that ever win.

And I'm not saying Suarez, Hazard, etc aren't divers, they are as well and it makes me angry when they do it too, it's just that (in my case at least) I follow La Liga more than other national tournaments, and Barcelona has had a huge record of dives and other shitty shenanigans over the last years and it's very annoying. Not saying that other teams hasn't (eg Elche-Real Madrid this year), it's just that Barcelona has been kinda ridiculous lately, and even their ex-vicepresident admitted on an interview that Barcelona has had the help of referees. (can look it up if anybody cares)

Btw there needs to be enough contact to be considered a foul. Contact can be just grazing or simply slightly touching, and that's not enough to destabilize.

Please, I want to see that. By the way, are you talking about Rosell or Laporta? Because Gaspar doesn't count shit, he's just a butthurt (BAN ME PLEASE). Also, don't link any Marca/As/ thing, please.

Bayern will eliminate the 3rd english "top" team in CL quarters, but np. City wins every home game in the Premier League and we raped them at Etihad, that shows how awful the premier league is.
You will now say, that City won the second leg, but we did not take them serious anymore after stomping them in their own stadium and scoring two goals in the first minutes of the match.

There is not a single english team, which is even close to our level, we beat 3 of your top teams (chelsea, arsenal and city) this season. And if you consider how much money the premier league has, it is really sad to see how bad they are. Just compare Paris to City, while City is just shit and getting their asses whipped by any proper team (see matches vs bayern/barca/dortmund/real), paris are a considerable threat and even had less time after they started investing.

And fyi comparing leagues is kinda retarded cos impossible

could have been much worse for arsenal had lee probert awarded swansea a penalty for swansea after a blatant foul by Podolski on Bony

de guzman was also through on goal when he blew for the final whistle

Kalstrom is also looking like a very good player. Direct upgrade on shite like Arteta

inb4 wenger out
