yeah sorry to disappoint, im a leeds fan mate. i was at the john smiths when you beat us 3-2 in your cup final with a late john stead goal! (hes fucking shit too)

only got a couple of problems with town at the moment, namely the lack of a decent striker when james vaughan is taken away. sean scannell is great too but why does he never seem to start? can't see either of us challenging for play-offs come the end of the season, but if we win at wigan tonight then we're closing in. would be disappointing if you did drop off the pace and struggled, im hoping for a decent game at elland road!

No worries, was just the level of disdain you were showing towards Sheff Wed made me think you were a Blade xD

Hardly our cup final when an extra 10,000 fans turn up at Elland Road to watch Leeds v Town ;) guessing you weren't the daft Leeds fan who celebrated in the home end and promptly saw the exit sign lol.

Scannell's problem comes down to consistency and lack of end product over 90 minutes - Robins claimed in a radio Q&A that he was only good for half an hour because of that (think it was a good month/two months ago like). My own feeling is that Scannell (like the young lad Holmes) scare the daylights out of tired defences with their pace and unpredictable dribbling - doesn't really have the same impact when they start and the defence can cope with it.

Would be inclined to agree that when Vaughan is taken away we don't look as strong up front (he's been our captain too since Clarke did his leg in v Brum) - though Danny Ward and Scannell haven't been too bad up front when required, and I'm hoping Martin Paterson can start rekindling that scoring form he showed in the Prem for Burnley. Stead...yeah, he's not been great (showed promise as a sub at times early in the season but turned to the pointing wonder when starting >>;). Would like to see Cristian Lopéz given a few games, but I'm guessing he's still getting used to English football in the development squad.

Drop off or not, I don't doubt it'll be a good game at Elland Road - just get Papa Smurf (or whoever is in charge over there now, never can be certain) to stop charging the earth for tickets ;)

Wouldn't be so certain of a win v Wigan btw - just look what happened with Barnsley and Wednesday after sacking their managers. :/

lol i agree

West Ham vs Crystal Palace, Allardyce vs Pulis, the pinnacle of puntball! I'd still rather watch high quality ball to head than some of the crap in lower quality leagues. I remember tuning in to some Europa league game, ludogorets vs someone and it was horrific, like just random smack the ball anywhere and pray. At least the ball lands on someone's head with these quality long ball merchants, it has made me appreciate it a lot more!

edit: Also remember when Carlton Cole was the hot new prospect for the England team? He was one of my favourite strikers once upon a time lol...

pulis vs allardyce was surprisingly entertaining lol

also i remember when Roy was liverpool manager he tried to land carlton cole for us. brb puking

King Bendtner starts tonight!!! What a beast. I somehow feel Arsenal have gotten pretty lucky lately with the way the games have fallen, we played Southampton after 2 of their players went away with England duty for the first time (inc. club captain Lallana) and that must have been somewhat of a distraction; we played Cardiff after they drew with Utd so they kinda got the giant killing feeling out of their system the chances of a second upset were unlikely; and now we play Hull after they upset Liverpool and they have their best defender suspended... This is the type of shit that Utd got away with so many times but I guess that luck might well be what separates the winners! A result isn't guaranteed but I'm liking the way things have been falling recently!

Also imo Utd vs Everton is absolutely massive, if Everton somehow gets a win you'd have to say Utd's top 4 spot is not looking safe at all never mind the title. If Everton seriously challenge for top 4 with Liverpool and Tottenham then something has to give!

edit: Bendtner what a beast!!! And speaking of world class strikers, holy crap Suarez lol!

ok so Suarez is the best player atm in the Premier league.

Everton was the better team. Manu were better for a little bit in the second half.

Hazard was unbelievable today, just skipping past the defender at every opportunity.
It would be nice if Torres had taken that easy chance...

Just got to love the EPL!

Edit: Pirlo is the best Free kick taker along with Reus. Suarez is up there though.

everytime suarez goes in to take a free kick i know he's going to score

best free kick taker in the world? possibly

edit: bale or suarez at free kicks?

even though we got smashed by the two bald cunts howard webb and jonjo shelvey, it was a pretty exciting matchday

looking forward to watching the highlights when i get back

MY EYES LOLOL!!!!!

only got a couple of problems with town at the moment, namely the lack of a decent striker when james vaughan is taken away.

I'm starting to wonder the same about Leeds! One man scoring machine is Ross McCormack xD

Prem-wise...wow. Hazard and Suarez turn on the style and run the show in their matches - whilst Bendtner scores (weird, that one!) and David Moyes finally sees Everton beat Man Utd.

they should not have done what they did regarding seeding etc, some silly teams in higher pots.
group E better not happen, but group A looks tasty.
Although England can beat spain ;)

on another note, there are some very interesting games this week. hopefully we can beat stoke at the britannia, not very confident about it

I'm hoping it's a good world cup, I thought the last two were terrible especially the France vs Italy final, that was horrific to watch. Spain vs Netherlands was only better because of De Jong but it was also a really boring final. I want WC98 and 2002 back!

2010 was good, The Germany- Uruguay, the Ghana- Uruguay games were brilliant. The group stage wasn't great but it definably got better in the knockout rounds.
Oh and the Brazil-Netherlands game. However those god damn vuvuzela ruined probably the best thing about the world cup which is the sound of the Fans. I am so grateful that Fifa banned them.

I don't know what you were watching in 2006 because that world cup was great.
