Liverpool have always looked "pedestrian" this season. Only a few attacking players looked the part to make things happen. The squad is garbage.

They're a weak team to begin with, they play alongside "weaker teams".

Disagree. The performances recently against Chelsea, Palace (yes, a defeat), Man City and Southampton were pretty decent. Just had no idea how to deal with teams which park the bus and play long balls to counter.

Klopp has what most decent managers have when arriving at a new club. The instant boost followed by a lull period. The only part of this that shocked me was newcastle won instead of draw 0 0. Klopps real effect on liverpool comes after january and at the start of next year when his players get brought in the squad and rodgers players leave

How? How did United drop the ball? That group wasn't easy but it wasn't difficult at all. Not one of those games was a daunting mission impossible task. As for city, nice to be given a gift on the final day. Make sure you tell sevilla gracias

A few things:
-Maybe Man United will show more attacking force in the future like they did today, although it did not yield them the desired result.
-Whoever gets Paris in the next round will have it pretty tough.
-Good campaign overall for Astana.
-Wolfsburg for quarter finals.

Because they only scored seven times and failed to beat PSV Eindhoven at home when they could have secured progress.

You can't beat a team managed by the great Lord Bendtner. The times he lost, he lets you win willingly.

I don't like Roma's chances of progressing, they haven't been in good form recently and one win in the group stage isn't ideal, but progressing is good enough. Bayer Leverkusen's troubles finishing again let them down, Porto threw away a three point lead in the table before matchday 5. Really happy for Gent though, since Belgium hadn't had a team progress to the next round for a while.

David Moyes, gets to the quarter finals and knocked out by bayern. Louis Van Gaal, knocked out of the group by Wolfsburn. Moyes>Van Gaal

Plus, Moyes spent only 27 mil to advance. ( Mata for 37 mil was in January )

LvG spent close to 250 mil and couldn't do the same thing.

3 English clubs in last 16. Let's see what happens next.

Man city might get through to the quarter finals, Arsenal are dependent on the match up, chelsea are dependent on their form

i'm glad 3 english teams got through, wasn't there talk of us losing the 4 CL spot if teams fail to get reasonably far?
