When you're on the far right side of the room, everyone else is to the left of you.the constant claim that american news media is on the left makes me laugh and then cry.
Unless your AOC, or really one of the many new democratic faces in congress. I'd argue the exact opposite. When you're on the far right side of the room, everyone else is to the left of you.
Even those in the center.
There's actually a strange political stereotype that associates left wing parties to be the party of 'diversity, tolerance and minority friendly' while right wing parties are for 'straight white men' and anyone who votes right is simply anti minority but this couldn't be further from the truth. For one the Democrats in 2016 made a massive mistake by underestimating the percentage of women and blacks that will vote for Trump. Even quite a portion of individuals who identify as LGBT decided to pull the leaver for trump as well as Latinos, Hispanics and especially Asians too. So the question is why?Saying Yang has the best chance against Trump is fucking moronic. Marianne Williamson holds that spot.
Yang is a close 2nd, though, followed by Howard Schultz and Chuck Testa.
They weren't "so wrong" to the degree of Andrew Yang's strong resonance with voters being misconstrued as sub 1% support. There's actually a strange political stereotype that associates left wing parties to be the party of 'diversity, tolerance and minority friendly' while right wing parties are for 'straight white men' and anyone who votes right is simply anti minority but this couldn't be further from the truth. Quite simple and a YouTube Tim pool does a good job explaining but it summarises down to this - not nearly as many minorities care about identitarian politics as the Democrats thought it would but are more concerned on jobs, economy and standard of living which is what Trump tried to run his campaign mainly on as well as border security and Trump did prove himself to achieve both. gdp and unemployment numbers are doing very well as of 2019, record best actually.
So what the dems really REALLY need to understand is they need to stop being so focused on identitarian politics because a lot of minorities prefer about practical policies that improve standard of living and economic output. Also PC culture is starting get on everyone's nerves too. So yes Andrew yang is their best bet. If the dems don't learn, 2016 will just repeat.
Seriously don't take the mainstream polls literally. They are either ignorant or downright lying to your face. They were so wrong last time. Why should you believe them this time?

But what about Marianne? There's actually a strange political stereotype that associates left wing parties to be the party of 'diversity, tolerance and minority friendly' while right wing parties are for 'straight white men' and anyone who votes right is simply anti minority but this couldn't be further from the truth. To be frank, I don't love it, however there's 2 sides of a coin. Omar has been a rampant anti-semite, and Democrats haven't grown the balls to call her out, punish her, condemn ger, etc. I can understand why people are outraged by her, and I am too as someone whose relatives are Jews and lived through the Holocaust. For someone that was lucky to be able to emigrate to America, and not only that, be able to represent her district, she is a completely miserable spoiled brat.https://thehill.com/homenews/administration/453633-trump-rally-crowd-chants-send-her-back-about-omar
how do trump supporters on this site feel about this? you think this is normal? just wondering if you can see how this rhetoric makes it more and more likely that eventually a woman of color is gonna wind up dead
There are two conclusions you can reach from this logic:To be frank, I don't love it, however there's 2 sides of a coin. I will say, in regards to Trump's comments, while I do acknowledge politically that was stupid given Dems were fighting internally and now are united against him, they were not racist, and for the most part I agree with him (again acknowledging it would've been much smarter to keep his mouth shut). If you're that spiteful, hateful, and downright disgraced over the privilege of living in the best country in the world where you practically live pretty damn good from tax dollars to argue in Congress and act like dopes, maybe you can do a lot better helping the desolated countries in which you or your ancestors came from. Not the worst idea if America is truly that terrible to you as a lawmaker (which in most cases, it is not lol), maybe you can reform government in those places that truly need it.
Bro, if you actually READ what I wrote, you'd know I said ancestors. That answers the final snippet of your post. There are two conclusions you can reach from this logic:
1. Americans should never criticize the state of the country because they have it good
2. Immigrants like Omar can never really be "American" and even if they're citizens they shouldn't complain, ever.
Which is it gonna be?
Better yet, what country should AOC or Pressley or Tlaib go back to?
Firstly, bro, we've been through this before. You understand that the name of the Nazi Party was the National Socialist German Workers' Party, correct? You can also read their damn platform, sounds a lot like the 2016 DNC. You're a fool to deny that.are u sure ur fam is jewish from the holocaust or is this like how you thought the nazi's were socialists, the historical revisionism is really accelerating w this user.
criticizing American support for Israel's apartheid and ethnic cleansing regime isn't anti-semitic, you should be outraged that Israel now perpetrates genocidal acts in the name of a 'jewish nation' building project. Zionists have always collaborated with anti-semitic regimes, since the origin of the movement.
"Indeed, Zionism crystallized as a political movement among European Jews explicitly to solve the problem of political anti-Semitism. For Zionist pioneers like Leo Pinsker and Theodor Herzl, anti-Semitism was an inevitable phenomenon that would occur at any time and place where Jews were a sizable minority. Normal relations with other nations could be established only by moving Jews to a place where they were a majority. Thus rather than pushing contemporary states and societies to devise new ways of accommodating difference, Zionist thinkers of Herzl’s generation subscribed to the logic that the Jewish “problem” could be settled only by removing Jews from European states."

weird internalization of /capitulation to the anti-semites agenda it seems to me
i also find it interestng that you think this is uniting the dems, i think this was one of those few moments where we can step back and say 'cheeto actually did something strategic here' which was encouraging the centrist dems to continue attacking progressives.
1. The actual tweet is "Isreal is hypnotized the world." Not Jews. Interesting that you'd conflate the two, though.Bro, if you actually READ what I wrote, you'd know I said ancestors. That answers the final snippet of your post.
Yea, I do think its very self-defeating, not that Americans criticise the US (who do you think I am exactly?), but hate it with the burning passion they've exhibited. I think your pretty damn priviledged to have the opportunity to make something of yourself in America as opposed to for example the warzone that is Venezuela personally.

Secondly, yes, I do think a plurality of the statements made by Omar are bltatantly ant-semetic. You don't think "jews hypnotizing the world" isn't? (yes. That's an actual thing she has tweeted, one of many examples)
Don't beat around the bush, it's unnecessary.
If you're using NYT to back your theories about the Nazis, that's pretty bloody sad. Anything even remotely right of the fringe left wing is far or alt right to them.1. The actual tweet is "Isreal is hypnotized the world." Not Jews. Interesting that you'd conflate the two, though.
2. How do you suppose Ayana Pressley or AOC's ancestors came to the US?
3. The Nazi Party imprisoned and murdered leftists. Hitler wrote Mein Kampf in 1929. Mussolini himself was an ex-socialist who used the fascistas in Italy to crush his former party by force. The Nazi party in Germany only rose to power because they were cosigned by the traditional conservatives (Hindenberg) who preferred nazis to communists and the social Democrats. Contemporary NYT articles show that most observers thought Hitler would be a figurehead for the conservatives anyway.
