Premise: 350 Cup is a metagame where all Pokemon with a BST of 350 or less gets their stats doubled. With a weaker pokemon's stats doubled it could put their bst at or higher than some uber Pokémon

Rules: All Pokemon with 350 BST or below gets all of their stats doubled.

An amazingly fast choice banded wallbreaker that is able to brute force it's way threw teams without bulky enough resists, though it has its flaws of not being able to break some pokemon before falling to rocks or recoil. As well, it's one of the few evolved or non evolving pokemon in the format.

In this metagame there would most likely be more offensive mons as most lower bst mons don't have the long gevity that most teams would like and the ones with long gevity are usually more passive than most teams would want.

i think this mon is overrated, it has 70/120/80/170/80/140 stats + normal/ghost typing + illusion which seems good on paper but its movepool is unironically so barren that its best normal stab is tera blast (lmao), and its best coverage move is also tera blast (lmao) but ignoring tera, the best coverage move it gets is sludge bomb (lmao) that i think it's better for it to run a utility set like wisp, hex, knock off, u-turn - you could tera with it but i feel like that ruins the surprise factor of illusion bc once they see that it's zorua-h, it can never come in for free bc the opponent'll see the tera type and know it's zorua-h i found out that illusion hides the tera typing which makes it better but imo, the fact that its movepool is so barren makes me think that it's still not a great mon anyways even with the extra coverage from tera

Its back! and man, how i missed using Grimer-A from Gen7 350 Cup. No Pursuit does suck, but Band Knock still remain as powerful as ever.
 
I agree with yoko, this guy :glimmet: is gonna be extremely problematic. Nothing comes in on specs, not even toedscool, as it gets 2HKOed by specs tera blast fire, and non specs sets achieve the same thing after only one layer of spikes. I also think it has good set up potential with Rock Polish, which would allow it to outspeed almost everything, and it could run air balloon for toedscool. With Tera Fire, toedscool and steels become rather shaky checks.

However, I do believe counterplay exists.

Buizel ended up with insane speed and swift swim, making it a very potent looking rain sweeper that can outspeed specs glimmet with its natural speed alone, and Rock Polish glimmet if rain is up. It gets access to wave crash, which annihilates glimmet under all circumstances.

As the person who insisted Zorua-H be on the initial watchlist I feel like I should defend it / hype it up. However as a base... 170 is really high Special Attack, even for this tier. Even with mediocre move choices Zorua's attacks will do significant damage to nearly everything. Ghost/Normal is a very good neutral typing, in fact one of the best. Zorua-H also has a pretty decent Speed tier, living at the top of the crowded 120-140 range. It has a small but useful pool of status moves which broadens its options. In short Zorua-H would be good even without Illusion.
But it does have Illusion, and Illusion is stupid. It can be stupid in multiple ways, and I'll go over how to abuse it on different sets.
The two sets I will be highlighting are Choiced and Nasty Plot.

Zorua-Hisui @ Choice Specs / Choice Scarf
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Shadow Ball
- Tera Blast
- Trick / Knock Off / Dark Pulse

This set is probably the easiest Zorua-H set to click with, although not the easiest to maximize the potential of in the builder. Pretty basically you disguise yourself as something else with Illusion, and click Shadow Ball as they switch in the wrong thing and take way too much damage. You then often get another free attack OR a free switch as they switch out to an actual answer. And you can keep doing this.

It's important to keep both Zorua and the mon it's disguised as at full health so they can keep up the charade. To this end good hazard control is pretty much mandatory. It's also a good idea to switch up the mon you're disguised as throughout the game.

I slashed both Specs and Scarf. I believe Specs will be better, but you know... this is all theorymon. But 350 usually has some pretty damn fat stuff.

Zorua-Hisui @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Illusion
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Nasty Plot / Will-o-Wisp
- Shadow Ball / Hex / Bitter Mallice
- Tera Blast
- Substitute / Will-o-Wisp / Taunt

This set abuses presumed forced switches to set up Subs and Nasty Plots, or to Wisp incoming physical attackers. Zorua is frail, so it relishes the setup opportunities. Sub is very helpful for it because it no longer has to predict around Pawiard. Or you can Tera Fighting and murder it.

I'm kinda outta steam (i know this is in the middle but I'm writing it last) so let's just say free setup on a mon with good neutral coverage + 170/140 offensive stats = potentially broken. It's also very flexible and unlike Specs does not reveal what it is based on SR weakness because of boots.

Just putting it out there that this thing has worse stats, typing, and coverage than its Hisuian counterpart, and cannot be run on the same team. I really don't see the point of it. It's like running Grimer instead of Grimer-A.

:ss/glimmet:
I think this mon is being oversold. It has extremely high SpA it's true, but a quick glance at its movepool shows that it has extremely limited coverage. STABs, Dazzling Gleam, Mud Shot (lol), and Tera Blast are the limit. Ground-types and Steel-types both resist its dual STABs. Consider Arceus of either of those types, a spd invested Hippopotas, Zacian-Crowned, Clodsire (you kinda have to play around Mud Shot I admit), or more. If it's a problem because it can Tera then I believe we should examine whether Tera is the issue as well.

Also note that for this tier it's not that fast without a boost, living at the bottom of a crowded range, and rather frail.

Honestly one more offensive move might make this an easy ban. Either Earth Power or Grass Knot like its evolved forme gets would solve a lot of its issues. But it doesn't. I'm not trying to say it's not extremely strong, or that it won't be something to prepare for, but I think it will simply be a top-tier wallbreaker rather than a broken.

I'd like to talk about a few mons I haven't seen brought up.

:ss/bronzor:
104/48/172/48/172/46

Bronzor is unspeakably bulky, has a great defensive typing, and Levitate to dodge ground moves and spikes. However, that's where the positive qualities end. It's super passive, has no recovery, and it's movepool is a complete joke. It gets rocks, screens, tr, manual weather maybe, and that's basically it.

144/160/98/80/98/80

Solid bulk, good defensive type, sky high attack, and sheer force looks pretty strong. For coverage it gets Eq, prough ig, and not much else noteworthy. Unfortunately, it has no recovery and is kinda slow, but I still think it could be a solid pick.

:sm/cacnea:
100/170/80/170/80/70

It isn't the fastest thing ever, but 170 in both attacks isn't something to shake a stick at. On the physical end it has access to trail blaze and sucker punch to make up for the low speed, drain punch to dent steels and keep it healthy, and giga drain, leaf storm, dark pulse to hit zorua-h maybe on the special end.

It gets very solid bulk, really high attack, and STAB Facade with quick feet, which is admittedly worse than guts, but notably allows teddiursa to outspeed unboosted 140s. It also has excellent coverage options like earthquake, close combat, the elemental punchs, and crunch to deal with non scarf zorua-h. And if speed is a problem, it gets trailblaze because everything gets trailblaze, which alongside quick feet lets it outspeed basically everything. It's looking like a really nice offensive pick.

Edit: I feel like I should point out that due to this mon being forced to use toxic orb is it wants to proc quick feet means it's really vulnerable to being chipped down, especially by entry hazards. It might be a viable strategy to run a different item and possibly a bulkier spread to try to set up with sd or something.

Koraidon will be a massive headache for rain teams and resists the water stabs of swift swimmers like buizel and arrokuda (which is all they have). Ig rain could also use thunder voltorb-h, but again gets walled by koraidon. The rain setters are kyogre and pelipper, the first gets scarf water spout and the second checks koraidon. Sun lacks abusers. Overall neither weather is worth using.

Rn i think both weathers are pretty mid but rain definetely outclasses sun imo sun really didnt get many abusers compared to rains Buizel,Psyduck(ill make a post about the duck soon), and sobble (ill also make a post about this in like a hour) the only notable sun sweeper i can really think of is growlithe-h and maybe houndour but otherwise sun didnt get a whole lot

imo both weathers are pretty bad rn but if u wanted to use one use rain

arceus is so versatile being able to be a faster ekiller,support,taunter,sweeper,hazard setter, fucking anything
combined with its insane movepool and god tier stats arceus is prob top 5 in the tier imo

now for the main subject for this post is
Im advocating for a tera ban
After a lot of testing and stuff i dont think tera is healty for this meta, tera has already been causing problems in other metagames like bh and official formats like ou and i think it should be banned here it makes some pokemon way too broken making the meta overcentralized imo for example pawniard without tera is managable because of it not having a dark stab and being quite frail specially but tera allows for it to get a resist to bug,fighting,ground type moves that treaten it and allow it to get a STAB on any move with tera blast

another less example of this case is probably crabrawler, bulk up combined with being able to change ur type allows crabrawler in most cases to be able to setup and sweep teams with its good movepool and recovery in drain punch

Some last words before i end my post is that miraidon,koraidon and buizel need to be looked at (mostly miraidon and buizel)

(disclaimer: a lot of pokemon will be left out of this personal vr since their is a lot of bad/mid 350 pokemon that are basically not worth covering and as always this is my opinion u can freely disagree or agree with me)

Arceus is one of the most versatile pokemon in 350 with its insane stats it can be a Hazard Setter, Set-up Sweeper, Support, and much some

:Miraidon:
Miraidon is one of the most broken pokemon in general and in 350, specs miraidons electro drift does over half to most pokemon combined with Another STAB in draco meteor and overheat it can do a lot not to also mention all of the countless other sets it can run like double dance

:Zacian_Crowned:
this pokemon was pretty hard to place it couldve easily gone s- but i think zacian with its amazing movepool,great Stab, and great stats combined with a great ablilty makes it pretty good

:Koraidon:
while not being as good as its brother koraidon is still a fantastic pokemon,sd + flame charge sets lets it outspeed all non boosted pokemon, scarf lets it beat pokemon like zacian-c and while its ablilty is a perfect counter for any rain teams

:crabrawler:
crabrawler has defo met my expactations, 164 atk combined with bulk up and tera make it a fantastic set up sweeper that counters popular dark types like pawniard

:Glimmet:
this pokemon is a little controversal and overhyped (by me :shrug:) but i think it deserves its spot here, 210 special attack lets glimmet kill most pokemon in the tier that have not that great of special defense, combined with specs theres not a lot of pokemon which can successfully switch into glimmet without getting 2koed, the only drawback to this pokemon is its mediorce movepool and average speed

ngl i think this pokemon is overrated as hell but probably deserves this spot,170 attack combined with swords dance and sucker punch make it a good revenge killer/setup sweeper, tera fairy with its 140 defense makes it quite tanky allowing it to freely get off a swords dance in most cases

another overhyped pokemon imo,170 spa with 140 speed and a great typing makes it a good spinblocker or support with will-o-wisp, the drawback to this pokemon and the reason im not putting it into S tier is i think its movepool is pretty bad outside of the dark and ghost moves u arent really getting a lot

not really much to say but this pokemon is a very good wall walling most physical attackers

:Growlithe-Hisui:
good doggo, this pokemon is kinda broken rock head with a STAB flare blitz AND head smash makes it pretty damn strong with rocks and healing in morning sun this pokemon is certantly a good Boy :)

:Sinistea:
this pokemon is actually broken with tera, shell smash with stored power is a brutal combo that can solo teams on its own combined with a stab shadow ball and giga drain or tera blast make it a pretty deadly pokemon with tera (#bantera)

this pokemon barely missed out on being A+, 200 speed with a alright special attack stat make it a good pokemon, the only reason why im not giving it a A+ is its movepool is pretty meh so ur forced to use tera blast

:buizel:
buizel is just a great rain pokemon, 170 speed combined with swift swim lets it outspeed all pokemon that arent boosted and some that are, wave crash + 130 atk is also not smt to underestimate in rain it kills most pokemon

reckless + double edge and brave bird is a broken combo, only drawback is a mid movepool and relient on tera

:floette: , :hippopotas: and :foongus:
ranking all three of these stall pokemon together because im lazy, floette is a good special wall that deals with most special pokemon, hippopotas is a Fantastic physical way with its great ground typing it can wall pokemon such as koraidon, do i really have to say a whole lot for foongus 138 hp with great defenses and regenerator

sheer force life orb with 160 atk, good type and a alright movepool make it a good pokemon

So I was looking through Pokémon that know bellydrum and found something really funny.
So the biggest problem with bellydrum is the limited amount of times you can use it. A move very similar to bellydrum is shed tail, where for a very large benefit, your mon loses half its hp. Just like shed tail, bellydrum on its own is a really good move, a good example is how azumarill is still OU while having a good attack stat plus bellydrum(though belly drum is not the sole reason it is OU). Now the comparison I would like to make with shed tail is simply that belly drum becomes much better when the cost of bellydrum is lessened, like with the ability regenerator.

What this mon lacks in priority or speed, it makes up in being bulky af. With regen and good defensive stats, this mon can actually live long enough to do something while also having the attack power to back it up. The fact that’s it’s slow just lets You get away with adamant and going full deeps as well which is fun. The best idea I can think of is to add this to a stall team to trip your opponent up as you take out a third of their team out of nowhere, then Regen back to full so you can do it again.

I've been looking through the mons that have doubled stats lately and have found quite a few that have something unique. Most of these prob aren't gonna be that good. Won't stop me from posting about it tho.

So ditto has 2 problem this OM solves, one that it needs powerful mons to copy, and two that its hp stat is awful. Ditto now has an ok hp stat, and a plethora of mons to copy.

The next mon I would like to cover is Surskit. This thing has a 130 base speed, a small chance to not be one-shot, and sticky webs. With swift swim you might be able to use this mon for rain dance then set up a sticky web if your feeling wild, but I do not think that is gonna be the best option. Its prob the best sticky webber in this tier if you want that while having access to haze so the opponent cannot setup too much on it.

Cyndaquils claim to fame is the fact that it has both the strongest and fastest eruption of any mon. This plus flash fire or tera fire gives it the potential to deal boatloads of damage. 130 speed in this metagame is still really good, so it even has the option to run specs. The biggest problem is that cyndaquil gets no good moves of a type other than fire.

Maschiff has a 156 base attack with the ability stakeout. You put a choice band on it, click crunch against a mon it OHKOs, then it will proceed to over 50% to something else. Now the opponent doesn't want to switch something else in, but you are now about to kill the thing meant to stop it. That is the idea at least, biggest problem is that it's speed is ok in this tier so its gonna be hard to find something this will scare out.

Did you know Silycobra has twice the hp of toxapex with about the same physical defense? Well bronzor can do better. It has over twice the hp, while having better physical AND special defense. This good news is that bronzor is the bulkiest mon in the tier. The bad thing is that bronzor gets practically no moves. Well it does have stealth rock, and can technically heal with rest. It has access to trick and trick room which are good utility moves, but no way to gain advantage off those moves itself. It's best attacking move is gyro ball, which is coming off of a base 48 attack stat in one of the bulkiest OMs. If this thing had moves it would be broken, but it doesn't.

I do think slowpoke is gonna have an actual niche in this tier. While g-poke has a better typing for for this tier, the fact that slowpoke has water stab gives it a small edge in damage. This is because after you put slack off on them, they don't really have any other moves that stand out. This leads to just adding attacking moves with their attack stat to make whatever they are switching in on want to switch out. I am under the optimistic belief that for their fourth move slot, belly-drum is an actually viable idea. Now while g-poke can switch into more mons freely, normal poke has a more oppresive belly-drum if the opponent gives it a free turn.

The final mon I think has actual potential in this metagame. I was searched which mons had huge power, and was disheartened to see that marill had a measly base 20 attack. I was then looking through the mons with a base stat less the 350 and saw the ability pure power. So did you know that Meditite has a base attack stat of 40? which then gets doubled to 80. Pure power then makes that attack stat about equal to 210. This mon also has a base 60 speed, getting to 120 and thus becoming a great scarfer with it's already amazing attack. It has access to priority bullet punch, stab close combat, access to trailblaze to increase its speed while dish out damage, and I would run psycho cut over zen headbutt as the 100% accuracy matters more to me than the increased damage when their attack stat is already this high. This Meditite already has a lot of pros, but this mon gets more than just good attacking moves. It has access to bulk up if you want an even better attack stat, trick to deal with slower mons as it is already good when scarfed or banded, taunt to dunk even more on the slower mons that may or may not appear in this metagame, and it even has access to recover for some reason if you want to run it with the bulk up set or something. This mon just has so many options and so many of them are good.

This is looking like a stall meta! Defensive mons get three stats doubled while offensive mons only get one attack stat and speed, which doesnt really matter since everything else is also getting faster. Made a team.

:chansey: has better special bulk than most mons under 350, and is the primary switchin to random strong specs attacks. Also beats cm mons by boosting alongside them. Tera ground immediately every game cuz miraidon is broken.

:Hippopotas: is the blanket physical wall, with 132 hp and 156 defense. Sand stream completely shuts down koraidon, and it easily eats hits from the strongest physical attackers in the tier, pawniard and maschiff

:Mareanie: takes on the physical waters that threaten hippo like buizel and arrokuda. It has double the hp of pex, while doing the same annoying things and regening off damage.

:Fuecoco: is the unaware wall, specifically beating bulk up crabrawler and sd pawniard. This is the most replacable slot as hippo could probably handle them anyway.

:sableye: Although it looks like a useless pick since it still has a base bst of 380, sableye handles tera fighting ghost types like sinistea and horua. With prankster, sableye can encore them into a setup move or disable shadow ball, which is the only move that can touch sableye. Knock off is also great utility.

:swablu: The second tera ground miradon answer, with 150 spdef and 90 hp. Tera this instead of chansey to defog on glimmet. Still gets blown up by specs tera draco meteor. Pls ban miraidon soon.
