This is painful to read.
- Pi is irrational. This has been proven in many different ways by many different people.
- While we don't know if the universe is infinite, the OBSERVABLE universe is definitely finite. Since information cannot be infinitely compressed, no computer that exists in the observable universe can hold the exact value of pi in it, under any circumstances.
- All simple calculations involving pi are either exact values expressed in terms of pi, or approximations to the true value. For instance, 5π cannot be expressed exactly using only the digits 0-9 and the decimal point.
- The reason I began this argument was because of a post stating that since irrational numbers exist, we cannot be in a computer simulation. I argued against the antecedent, that we can know the entirety of an irrational number, not the consequent.
