5 Turns to KO Your Team

Hey Smogon, I'm back with another RMT, its been a long time since I made a RMT, but you guys know me as the Trick Room user. Now you might be wondering about the title, if you think hard its the amount of turns TRICK ROOMI lasts on the field! i know, I know some people don't like Trick Room but I don't care I love it. Its a good anti-meta gameplay thats gets surprise KOs and throws a lot of people off guard. This Team main job is to have three pokemon to be able to check the three weathers that appear the most in the OU tier, which is Rain, Sand, and Sun. Also to get rid of threats to Scizor, so he can start sweeping my opponents team.

A Closer Look At The Team

233porygon2-1920x1200.jpg

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Trait: Trace
Evs: 252 HP / 184 Def / 72 SpD
Relaxed Nature
Trick Room
Magic Coat
Recover / Tri Attack
Ice Beam

This is my lead pokemon. I like how nobodies uses him as a lead he has the one move that can turn a game upside down on the first turn! Now I know you might ask yourselves why lead with Porygon2 he is greatly outclassed and threatened by No Guard Machamp, the reason why is Magic Coat. With Magic Coat it acts like Magic Bounce to bounce back those rocks and spikes onto my opponent's side of the field. Trick Room is here after I get the hazards back onto my opponent's side of the field b/c they almost always switch to their rapid spinner. Recover is here when I predict a switch to get some quick HP back. Ice Beam is just a filler move just so I won't be walled with no moves. Since I only have one move I decided to make him into a defensive duck to sponge attacks.

212scizor1920x1200.jpg

Scizor @ Life Orb
Trait: Technichan
Evs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Brave Nature
Swords Dance
Bullet Punch
U-Turn
Superpower

This Scizor is my secret weapon, or ACE in the Hole. He is the nucleus of the team, everybody on the team is to help get rid of threats to Scizor so he can come in and start Swords dancing and start getting the KOs. Which everyone you want to call it I get KOs with him b/c I bluff like its the Choice Band, but when they see me Swords Dance its over under and out of Trick Room. I choice to have U-turn to get Scizor off the field if he is in danger and to bluff to thin he is a Choice Band set, its also good to keep the momentum going to able to switch back to Trick Room users. Bullet Punch is a my priority move in and out of Trick Room to pick off weakened Pokemon, and to abuse the Swords Dance boost b/c all Scizor needs is just one Swords Dance boost and a lot of pokemon are threatened to be OHKO or 2HKOed. Superpower is here for Magnezone who always wants to trap me, but its KOed by Superpower, but the drop in attack and defense is bad but I tend to switch out or just stay in until Scizor dies of Recoil damage.

Reuniclus @ Life Orb
Trait: Magic Guard
Evs: 192 HP / 64 Def / 252 SpAtk
Quiet Nature
Trick Room
Psyshock
Focus Blast
Hidden Power Fire

The most broken pokemon to still be in the OU Tier. I love this pokemon he can fit on every Trick Room Team, he was like Bronzong in Gen IV, everyone had to have him, but enough about Bronzong. Hidden Power Fire is to opposing Scizors and MAgnezone, Skarmory, etc from stopping Scizor from sweeping my opponents team. As unreliable Focus Blast is its all I have, sometimes it might hit sometimes it might not, but when it does Tyranitars that don't have Chople Berries, there KOed. Psyshock is to BLissey and Chansey who want to try and wall me but threatened to be 2HKOed. The Evs are simple more Def Evs to help sponge an attack or two.

Gastrodon @ Choice Specs
Trait: Storm Drain
Evs: 240 HP / 252 SpAtk / 16 SpD
Quiet Nature
Surf
Ice Beam
Earth Power
Hidden Power Grass

The Volt Switch counter, he is my Rain check. Gastrodon helps stop Rain team from giving me problems. With Choice Specs, Gastrodon main job is to hit Hard in one turn and get the hell out the next turn. Hidden Power Grass insures that Rotom-W better think twice about staying a turn with Gastrodon. Ice Beam is to hit Dragons super effectively. Surf is here for STAB, to abuse the boost from the Storm Damage, which he always gets and gets at least 2 KOs before I have to switch out. Earth Power is here to stop Heatran, Tentacruel, and Toxickroak, who are found on Rain Teams that always tens to be annoying in the late game.

485heatran1920x1200.jpg

Heatran @ Air Baloon
Trait: Flash Fire
Evs: 252 HP / 252 SpAtk / 4 SpD
Quiet Nature
Stealth Rock
Flamethrower
Earthpower
Hidden Power Ice

Next is my sun team counter. I put Stealth Rock on Heatran, since I don't have a Pokemon to set up the entry hazards for my team. Flamethrower is to threaten Scizor to get out, unless I know he might use Superpower. Earthpower is to stop opposing Heatran and many other Fire threats from stopping Scizor from sweeping. I like Scizor and Heatran, b/c Scizor brings in the Fire attacks, heat ran gets he free boost and we start racking up some damage to the opponent. Hidden Power Ice is to hit Dragons and Gliscor hard who want to try and get a Earthquake on me.

645landorus1920x1200.jpg

Landorus @ Choice Scarf
Trait: Sand Force
Evs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
Earthquake
Stone Edge
U-Turn
Hidden Power Ice

The last checker, the Sand checker. He is my last pokemon to help cleanup one Trick Room goes down. He is a good scarfer to have along with Terrakion. He really likes if I'm up against a Sand Storm team b/c he really likes the extra boost which is good b/c he a good sweeper and counter. I choice U-turn on Landorus to keep the opponentt on their toes and to keep the offensive momentum going. Hidden Power Ice is fro Gliscor who walls the Hell out of Landorus with 125 Base Def. He laughs at all of his attacks except this one.

Conclusion
Well thank you for taking a look at my team, I hope that you enjoyed read through my RMT. I don't have a glaring weakness that pops out, the only thing that might cause me some trouble is Choice Specs Latios, but other than that I the team is alright, its not perfect but I know it scan be better. I will add more descriptions later but right now I'm going to bed, PEACE OUT!

I don't see how that Scizor is bluffing any choiced set, it has life orb and is missing U-turn so as soon as it attacks the bluff is gone.

Actually he does has U-turn, but I got your PM, I'll give a full rate tommorow. But the only thing that sticks out is your Porygon2, its very interesting and also confusing. It's cool you have Magic Coat as a way to bounce back Entry Hazards and non attacks.

Scizor cannot bluff band with LO due to recoil, u-turn or no. Brick break can be used > superpower to preserve attack, but lack of power can hurt. Might comment on the rest later.

If he really wants to bluff, he can add a Iron Plate on Scizor. Not only does it bluff a Choice Band set, it also boosts the power of Bullet Punch.

Porygon2 to Magic Bounce away some hazards from specific Pokes isn't going to work out. At least that's for me since I used fast Pokes to set up. Aside from that, nice that no one would expect Trick Room from Porygon2. And bluffing a banded Scizor is also kinda of eh'ish since LO. LO. LO. Not going to work in just the second turn after he made an attacking move. Expect Belt is nice.

Actually, it's more like four turns, since Trick Room has something like -7 priority and the setup turn counts against the duration. Also, if the tide of a battle changes, a second use of Trick Room prematurely ends the existing effect, so keep that in mind in case you ever go up against another TR team.

Using P2 for magic coat is an interesting idea, but it relies on spot-on prediction in much the same way as timing a Taunt. Denying your foe a move via taunt is good, but bouncing the foe's effect onto him is definitely a high risk-high reward situation.

Most Magnezone are EVed in order to be able to come in after a kill, outspeed Scizor and other base 55s so they can ensure the HP Fire revenge kill (and bullet punch isn't doing anything), so you might want to think twice about how you use Scizor. Once trappers are off the board, though, feel free to go hog wild.

Gastrodon is pretty much dead weight against a team that doesn't run rain, but that doesn't mean you should get rid of it. Its impressive HP and low speed means it functions quite well in TR and can take an ES if need be.

I can see why you're running Quiet on that Tran, but keep in mind that this choice allows you to at least think about running Eruption. You're relying on Heatran's bulk otherwise, which isn't a bad idea but he does have a couple of glaring weaknesses. Conkeldurr comes to mind...not only does he "outspeed", he often carries mach punch for when he needs to outrun and TR isn't up. Worse, he can often set up a sub as you switch to Reuniclus.

I like the double u-turn combo with landy and scizor, and the fact that the former is designed to clean up after you soften the foe with your TR mons means that he's equally useful in case circumstances demand that you get rid of a threat (such as opposing users of TR or priority) before executing your strategy.

You should run Bug bite on your scizor. With technician it's even stronger than u-turn, and since you're life orbing anyways, if you u-turn you lose the ability to bluff a choice band anyways. It's a much more prefferable scenario than losing your sweep every time a slowbro comes in, who you would otherwise have no problem wrecking.
