5th Gen PRNG Help / Info - Latest: RNG Reporter 9.96.5, PPRNG 1.15.0

=o! So, my only chance to RNG a wild pokemon in a Bubble Spot, is to advance my steps until one shows up?
That's changes IVRNG frame by 2 for every step/turn where(or nearby) a wild pokemon lives, right? O.0

the IV frames only advance every 128 steps by the number of pokemon in your party. Is the PID frames that advance when you move in a place where pokemon can appear. so yea, chances are you'll be advancing both :(

Hmm, lets say I have a target IV frame of 1, and PID frame of 100+.
If I surf/walk just enough to generate a bubble spot, without hitting 128 steps; then it could generate a bubble without changing my IV frame, right?

So would a higher PID target frame, allow me to advance the PID along with the WNPC's?
And get to the target PID frame by using Chatots?
I wonder if this is how it's done. :P

well, technically yes. but the chances of that happening are pretty low. I believe the spots are can / or not appear every <forgot the exact number> of steps. so yea.
having a higher PID is always good, for this kind of RNg that is.

If you want perfect shiny eggs you must abuse your ID/SID

I've read that line in a lot of guides, but no one says how is this accomplished. I have plans of resetting my black1 game to get a low frame shiny egg WITHOUT keypresses. But need a few guidelines to do so, any help will be welcome :)

Hey there, I need some help again. =P
So I'm trying the method of running around to generate a Bubble Spot (not reaching 128 steps), then calculating my current PID frame through Chatot pitches.
I use two Chatots for this; and I can't seem to figure out exactly where I am on the list of pitches on the RNG Reporter's PIDRNG list. As soon as I think I'm on the right pitch sequence, the pitch changes unpredictably.

I'm not sure if what I'm doing is even possible; so if anyone knows how to RNG wild pokemon in the water, specifically a "Bubble Spot" with the Super Rod, please let me know! I'm trying to catch a shiny Feebas. :P

Thanks, -Noctis.

After searching everywhere and getting no answers, could someone help me?
I'm attempting to RNG an Excadrill on White. On the Time Finder Settings I've chosen Standard Seed > Cave Spot Pokémon and got my Seed.
On the main window, PIDRNG > Wild Pokémon (Cave Spot), and found my results.

Now, how should I generate the dust clouds? Should I chatot-advance up to my desired result, and try to get the cloud to appear in less than 20 steps?
Please tell me if I did anything wrong.

To be frank, don't do it that way. We have tried that for a long time and it is usually faster to breed one (we haven't succeded with the cave spot method, by the way).

In order to generate dust clouds you need to move around, which increases your PID frame by 2 per step in a cave. Walk to much and your IVs get screwed up. When exactly a cloud will pop up has that annoying habit to change every time you reset, and when it does it even doesn't even appear at the same spot every time.

Unless you really want it in your ball of choice, save yourself the frustration.

I think this is the best you can get right now (Smogon developers are always working in new things)

Hi, just requiring some help with Entralink Abuse in Pokemon White 2.
I have an obtainable seed, generated using PPRNG 1.15.0, which I have hit a number of times (both verified by 3 Chatot pitches and the Entralink Pokemon's IV's that I catch). I then start up the C-gear, skip through as fast as I can to before I enter the Entralink at "*Player* warped to the Entralink." At this point I simultaneously start up my timer at the same instance I press A, and enter the Entralink. I then take the most direct route to the Pokemon (A Sawk, who is isolated in the first clearing), talk to it to the point that it says it wants to join my team yes/no. I wait here for the time that the corresponding nature requires, encounter it, yet the nature I receive is nowhere near the one I am aiming for- usually over 12 frames above or below the one I am aiming for. No matter what I try, adjusting for less or more respective time, has had any impact- the natures are still incorrect. Is there anything I might be doing wrong, such as starting the timer in the wrong spot or allowing the Pokemon to move too much? A screenshot of the details is provided below, but I can't work out how to fix the nature issue.

I have not actually used Memory Link, although without having it selected I am unable to do any RNGing- an issue Chizu helped me fix.
P.S. I am aiming for the Adamant Frame isolate at the top of the nature list

That problem...every time you've adjusted your time, have you noted what nature you get? My advice would be to do minimal changes (that is, a 1 second difference) to get a string of natures and see if where you're landing. It may be more time consuming though. The other suggestion would be to try another seed as this one could be one a crazy one.

Please list which version of RNG Reporter or PPRNG you are using. RNG Reporter 9.96.5

What are you trying to capture\hatch? Capture a non-Shiny Latias at the Dreamyard in White2

What is your target seed and frame? 662CB1906C175B9 and 60 What is the delay of that seed? ??? What is the MAC address of the DS you are using? E0E7516EC643

How did you verify your seed? ???

If you tried and failed, what results did you get? I've tried doing it on 2 different DS Lites (after calibrating of course) and still either keep getting the wrong Nature or IV's... During the calibration, 4 times I got 10F5 for Timer0 (with no second Timer0 value), and 1 time I got 10F6 for Timer0 (again with no second Timer0 value). So I used the 10F5 for my Min/Max Timer0 because that was the most common during calibration. But I still keep getting either the wrong Nature or IV's... If it helps, I'm trying to get a Stationary capture using a Pokemon with the Synchronize ability. Also I used Titan's Guide to help me with the RNG process. Any help is appreciated thanks...

Are there any (registry) entries regarding the set year when using the time finder? It really annoys me that it is preset to 2012 though we have 2013 for a while now^^
Edit: Using RNGReporter 9.96.5 BETA

Hidden Grotto rng abuse to spawn a sheer force bagon

Ok, I'm following smogon's guide to this rng abuse to the letter.
I've rnged plenty of pokemon already to be familiar with the process( already have 4 from black 2)
I already know my preferred timer0 and i attempted this rng 23 times already.
No one is in the daycare and the only other hidden grotto I've been in was the first with bianca and I've already checked to make sure it was full prior to the attempts

But... nothing ever spawns

Anybody with experience on hidden grotto rng that can help me get this would be much appreciated.

I really want that sheer foce bagon and if i could just get it to spawn I would easily be able to rng the ivs on him

Have you tried to verify if you hit your seed? After you walk the required amount of steps inside the grotto, test to see if you hit the seed via Chatter pitches. If it was successful, you should be hearing the pitches about 6 frames after the initial frame.

If you're still having trouble, consider checking every other grotto listed before the one you're RNGing in, or try another seed.

I'll try the chatot pitches but I'm completely sure all the grottoes are filled.
I willing to learn how to rng breed if i could just get the sheer force bagon.
Any video tutorials on this rng abuse

Okay, ummm... Maybe this will help. The past few (like 5) times I've tried to to RNG Latias I've got it the right Nature but wrong IV's. The stats all have 31 IV's except for HP which has 7 IV's.

Was the Time Finder set to search min and max frames of 1? With the method of IVs (Standard seed) and Stationary Pokémon? It sounds like you have an IVRNG frame 2 result for your selected seed.

Your target IVs are on IV frame 4. Why? You're hitting your IV frame 3 IVs (7/30/31/31/31/31).

Why did you do a seed with your IVs on frame 4?

Eyedol: No it's set to min frame 1 and max frame 6 because I don't get any results otherwise for some reason... I have the time finder set to method of IVs (Standard seed) and Stationary Pokémon but after I get the seed I have it set to Gen 5 PIDRNG.. "It sounds like you have an IVRNG frame 2 result for your selected seed", what do you mean exactly?

religiousjedi: Okay, I'm using a Windows PC so I don't have that EXACT program but basically the same thing. I'm confused to what you mean also. Dx

This is what I'm working with:

The highlighted row is what I'm aiming for. Are you saying I should aim for frame 61 instead of 60?

In the first picture, see how you have the max frame set to 6? Change that to 1, and search again.
