This will be the first tournament of Sword and Shield 1v1 Other Metas. See if you can come up with some creative sets that utilize newfound abilities to the fullest!
AAA 1v1 (Almost Any Ability 1v1) is a metagame where any Pokémon can have (almost) any ability. This completely changes the way the game is played because you can come to face a Lightning Rod Gyarados, which then surprisingly gets defeated by Mold Breaker Vikavolt. The possibilities are endless.
1 week per round
Rules:
-Best of 5
-Single Elimination
-Dynamax and Gigantamax are banned
-Battles must take place on Pokemon Showdown!.
-Do not make baseless activity posts; get in contact with your opponent and report missed times / scheduling issues only.
-To challenge in AAA 1v1 create a groupchat and a two person tournament like this:

-Battles can be challenged in Almost Any Ability format bringing only 3 pokemon and forfeiting after the first one faints. Do not switch. Do not use phasing moves, u-turn and the like, or abilities that cause you to switch out.
-Failure to follow these rules or the banlist will result in an automatic loss, and if both players do not follow the rules the game will be decided in a coinflip.
