why wish cm rachi run fire psychic not fire grass. tar snd pert seems like bigger threat than zap mence .
fire psy rachi is usually paired with dug to handle tar. psychic hits pert fine.

fire grass dual coverage is rarely seen because your strongest move being a 75 bp non stab makes you hit very weak.

thx for the help. i dont understand what zap do for the team. it is weaker on the physical side. i find bkctar good vs weakness like lax cm fat greedy stall. but it feels anti synergy with cune. any suggest is appreciated
Zappos’s main strength on this team is pp stalling. With sub you force your opponent to spend loads of power points, especially with pressure. Zapdos is also good at slowing down special threats like gengar and other zapdos to keep your blissey safe from a potential dug, as well as helping you to beat rest suicunes. Thunderbolts and toxics also force some very nice progress when you have spikes up. Hope this helped!

Excellent question. I actually used this set probably to top ladder once. I think it's a good set with two notable weaknesses - 1. You cannot touch fires, and 2. You cannot touch rest roar zap. So if you can find a way to deal with both, it could be very strong.

i tried sleeptalk sub zap on v5. working out well thx

do best teams against random things on laddder exist. i saw architype but few team. also why is cloyster ranked so low but top player do use it well

do skarm has good counter. i find team good vs skarm bad vs other thing. like magdol, double spin. unlike tar has good counter like swampert . blisss weak to setup mon and physical attacker

on vr question. why is bliss high but dol,dug low when most bliss team run them. and they seems like best bliss team.
is mon good or mid if it work on only one strong style, like aero. i would say aero spike is stronger than most if not all metagross team. in that sense is it better than metagross, more viable

why some stall team has dug but not lead dug. lead dug is auto win vs jynx, slower dug, breloom. vs other lead ,stall can aborb small tempo loss well

why is weird ev like 248 240 40 common. max hp bold jichi with 220 224 228 def lose same hp to jolly max att dug. how is it possible. why smogon wish rachi run 224 not 220 def. jolly dug is more common than plus att dug

first, don't write more than one post at once. combine all your questions into a single post.
random things on ladder are usually beaten well by sand and aerodactyl, because sand stops most surprising salac berry users (and helps against weird curselax and suicune sets) and aero outspeeds anything surprising.

cloyster is not sand, spike, and toxic immune unlike skarm. but it offers some advantages like explosion and a strong surf which make it very good if it can be exploited. one theory I have is that cloyster works better when opposing swarm is at low hp, so I paired it with lead sub punch tar t1. the team is known as el cloysico: https://pokepast.es/06a7e88056db0c2a
Some other people have made cloy lead teams and those make a lot of sense too.

don't think about beating skarm. think about beating the whole team. you say that bliss is weak to physical attackers, but the physical attackers eventually hit skarm, so having many physical attackers is one way of beating skarm.

good question, I don't know. nowadays the successful bliss teams, if they don't have dug, use another special wall like celebi together with bliss.

sometimes being able to spike first is better than trying to kill a ttar (which may not die and might kill your dug instead)

how do you even get those evs? 248+240+40 is bigger than 508. you can use 220 def too. smogon analyses have some requirements on what speeds you can use (only max or outspeeding some Pokemon, in this case, jolly ttar)

thx for the help. i mean those ev seems ramdom but common, not 3 in one mon. jolly dug trap jynx, and other frail lead not tar. physical offense not seems to be very good though

Usually EVs near 252 are when you are calculating not to get OHKOed by something and you find that the odds of getting KOed are not changed whether you do 252 or 248 because of rounding when performing division.

all frail leads trappable by dug are not commonly used, in comparison to skarm, which is a very common lead. people try very hard not to get spiked.

beating skarm is not about beating skarm but the whole team. one way balance beats skarm not by beating skarm but by pressurizing whatever comes in. for example, if you have 3 spikes then getting zap on skarm and bolting causes blissey to take about 40% damage. if you have roar and predict the bliss switch in then that causes another 25%. it might be enough to KO chipped blissey (25 + 25 + 15 + 15 = 80). sometimes you can beat skarm by forcing damage on skarm. for example, if you have toxic milo or even pert, then you can toxic the bliss, and bliss has to switch out eventually, and if they have nothing else that can take toxic they have to go to skarm, which you can surf to bring down. another way is that you just spin to keep spikes damage minimal while using suicune to pp stall the rest of the Pokemon. bliss cannot keep tossing cune. it will run out at some point. there are many ways.

why mons not using hidden power not using max iv
Iv manipulation is done for a few reasons. Heracross (and a few other sub pinch berry Pokémon) has 30 IVs on sub salac in order to, from full, proc salac berry at 25% (if your hp is divisible by 4, substitute does exactly 25% of your hp and allows you to activate salac berry after 3 subs and at a higher hit point value. If you didn't do this, you would activate salac berry at 1%).

Another reason is as vapi said, confusion damage vs struggle war situations, for mons without a physical attack. Most commonly skarmory on sets without physical attacks will occasionally stay in vs gengar or gyrados after they taunt. This is sometimes a momentum play and sometimes for the chip damage. Regardless, if you are clicking struggle you would rather it do more damage not less. Other Pokémon can run max attack in order to, in a struggle fight where both players are clicking struggle, potentially win more wars.

Sometimes people get freaky and run lower IVs on their Pokémon to underspeed opponents in future generations, though in adv there's very little gain from underspeed mechanics beyond slow passing (which most BP mons aren't running min speed so you can always just run -speed nature/no speed investment).

The one exception is specifically Forretress, some players will intentionally run less IVs in speed in an attempt to underspeed the opponent and allowing Forretress to spin on opposing Forretress after their Forretress spikes. (big fan of this tech personally especially with fat wish jirachis)

why rest lax run att ev but rest roar cune dont run special att ev. lax has more att, meaning percentage gain from each ev is smaller than cune

rest lax does not need to run attack. the only advantages are KOing dugtrio with body slam or trying to 3hko suicune with return. but these are maybe not as important as being able to survive rest loops with hp and defensive evs. the evs on the smogon page for snorlax were written before calculations were made.

wow i am actually right xd abr lax rest sample team has att ev, why

bulbapedia say damage in lv100 is 42\50 x power x a\d x modifier, times random 0.85 to 1.
with this formula blank set mew earthquake on itself, their att equal def. the dmg should be 71 to 84. but dmg calculator say 73 to 86
