Welcome to the second edition of the ADV Lower Tiers League! Shout people (or yourself!) out and get silly with it, but keep it all civil and respectful.

After much deliberation on the discussion thread, this tournament will feature 6 teams with 12 slots each in the following tiers:
ADV Ubers
ADV UUBL
ADV UU
ADV RU
ADV NU
ADV PU
ADV ZU
ADV LC
ADV DOU (Bo3)
Orre Colosseum (Bo5, closed team sheet)
ADV Random Battles (Bo3)
ADV 1v1 (Bo5)

Feel free to dm us replays, tours standings, ladder peaks or why we should pick you. Pm us here or on discord ( girlsdodrugs or lhions ). Like always we will NOT be doing tradicional tryout games, but there will be an insanely low chance that we ask if you can do one if we deem fit.
 
adv 1v1 recommendations

mrextrazy - just won the react score tour, will be expensive though.
fake tom numbers - goat of the game probably, didn't play any tours so his knowledge might be outdated? huge question mark there tbh he's rlly good.
spreek - newblood who's probably gonna be doing well.
blanched - another likely to be expensive player, didn't play adv in cl but did good in the tour.
marshmelto - second best record in cl iirc, semifinalist in the adv tour.
bern - i guess bro.
murm hasn't signed up yet but i'd recommend him if he does, general good ideas giver if you wanna ask him for support tho.
indi01 - loaded some bullshit in cl but probably good if given teams.

anyone else that i didn't mention is good at the game too but i probably haven't found them cuz idk where the signups sheet is, managers need to have a good player/solid core to win games since there's only 6 players to be playing at any given point.
cl is also not too representative of the current playerbase cuz mrex tom and spreek didn't play n blanched was 6-0 in natdex, also i haxxed marsh iirc.

With ADVLTL may be ADVLC's latest ADV LC team tournament of the year on Smogon (LPL tho hype!!!) I want to keep the tier in this tournament as competitive as possible to make this ADV LC's most competitive year. And with no other interference from other team tournaments, unlike last year with LCPL, it's a perfect time to end this with a strong one. Therefore, I'm making guaranteed bounties to the community to claim. These will consist...

  • $50 for the best player record in the tournament
  • $30 to the ADV LC's winner on ADVLTL
  • $20 to the second-best player record in the tournament

These are always included, but a few more bounties or an increase in the prices may happen. The former one is to get more flexibility as a player can get two of these bounties at once, while the latter is so that the supports get their share split because this type of person does important work, but rarely gets a genuine reward. If you have any suggestions for interesting bounties, DM me about this. I'm only interested in bounties that are guaranteed to be claimable, and none of the silly ones that anyone can miss. I'm not interested in keeping the money; I'm here to see the playerbase competing to their fullest and getting rewarded for their effort.


To ease some players' minds, I won't be involved in any way that could help ANY TEAMS in a meaningful way. This means I'll not join the tournament, build, talk, or discuss with any players during the tournament to avoid supporting anyone. I'm very self-aware that I'm a nuisance to anyone's ass, and that just ruins the competitiveness. This is the tournament that I want to see the playerbase showing themself, both the players and builders developing the tier without me being a part of it. At best, I may do detailed predictions, but it's very unlikely, as that will be explained soon enough.

The friendliess/test games part is something I've yet to confirm, because it's hard to get practice games in the tier, but then I'll only play and not give any feedback after the game. I'll let y'all know next week, though. I'll be open to answering as much possible questions needed before the tournament starts, and I promise I'll update the resources and get the team dump as fast as possible, sorry ;-;

RU is a broke ass tier compared to LC but there's something money could never buy: shoutouts.

unira -> Pretty much unknown but by far the profile I like the most. They are VERY active on the ADV RU Discord, plays a lot of games and has a lot of teambuilding inspiration that they're not even bothered to share with everyone. They are an absolute maniac of the tier and would very much deserve a spot anywhere. They're also very straight forward, even if that made me wonder if one could be too honest at times...
They have no real tour experience though, which means you're gonna need to find the right way to include them in, but if you're looking for an active RU player you might as well go for them really, such investment must be rewarded.
Roaring Moonlight -> Quite unknown as well, but also an interesting profile. As far as I know, he's not the most invested guy in older gens bar GSC, but his ADV RU skills are improving. For whatever it's worth, he won an all-gen RU tour (ADV included obviously) that we hosted on the french RU community a few months ago, and quite dominantly so to speak. He also builds his own teams, which should be a real advantage in this newer meta post-Manectric.
PHB11677 -> I actually don't know if I need to introduce him, but he would definitely be a good addition to RU as well. Game wise, his RUGL season (RU farmers league) didn't go as planned, but we spent hours prepping, theorycrafting and testing together, so I can tell you the guy is pretty serious and doesn't disappoint. While I would admit that his end games were very questionable at times, his very healthy team presence and his capacity to listen to every advice and take those into account are qualities that aren't as common as they seem.
Heatranator -> A proeminent member of the RU community and, more recently, an older RU gens knight. To put it simply, Heatranator has quite a solid tour experience already, probably the biggest one among all of these people, decent in-game skills and activity in ADV RU as well as self-sufficiency. I'm lazy to introduce him cuz I think his recent RU tours results already say it all, but there you have it.


This one has nothing to do with RU, but I wanted to vouch for Thorys as well, who signed up for Rands and is showing quite decent ladder results (its all because he hasnt played me yet). He's more of a guy who just stays in his corner and doesnt necessarily follow tours, but he's a pretty solid rands player as well as a cool dude. I know nobody probably ever heard of him besides the frenchies and that's why i wanted the spotlight to be on him a little bit.

The list can be edited as far as signups go so keep an eye on it + I hope evakiyama loses

We will not be doing tryout games, and we will likely be prioritising UUBL, Orre Colosseum, DOU, and 1v1 slots.

Thank you Astro for the shout out I really appreciate that. It's true I am mostly new to tours and haven't gone on a good run yet. That's why I think for UUBL and PU I would be best used as a support. I recently developed a web extension for chrome and firefox that expedites scouting for the express purpose of helping my friends scout and prep. KingGojira can attest to how useful this was for the recent UUBL discord tour. But RU is a different story because yes I am way more active for that tier than just about anyone and have been practicing and building for it a lot in general. Unlike most RU players right now I am not rusty, I am not unfamiliar with the new shifts meta, and I actually care. I can show proof I have good wins in practice against legit tour players.

Can confirm, Unira's web extension for scouting was extremely useful. It saved us time from watching replays, and allowed us more time to spar. Most importantly, spar using accurate teams!
 
Hey, im here to just kinda vouch for myself since i think trying to ride managing to semis last year is cringe.
Ive got experience playing and building advs lower tiers for awhile now. Adv isnt exactly my main gen but ive got a good feel for these tiers, in particular pu and ru.
Willing to play wherever you put me<3
