Rules
- Follow all rules listed here.
- Schedule via Smogon VMs. It's easier for me to make decisions for activity calls when I can actually see what went down with scheduling.
- If you are unable to schedule with your opponent, please let your managers know ASAP so they can communicate that to me or the other team's managers for a potential substitute.
- Substitutions may be made after a week has started. When making a substitution, please tag myself, the managers of the opposing team, and all of the players affected by the substitute to ensure that everyone is made aware. Players who have already played in the week or were subbed out in the same week cannot be subbed back in.
- If a match remains incomplete by the time of the deadline, it may be subject to an activity call.
- It is recommended to play all games on SmogTours as this has all the formats included and games can be recreated in case of unseen circumstances. However, Games can be played on the Pokémon Showdown main server if both players agree. The result between players may be decided in a best-of-one by default.
- Replays are mandatory. Not only are they useful for confirming wins, they contribute to usage stats and allow the people who couldn't watch the games live to watch them later.
- Managers: Please send me your lineups in the same format that I used to post pairings. It makes it much easier to post future rounds more quickly.
Before commencing this week, we would like to leave you with some
Advanced Words of Wisdom
Permanent weather
With a sandstorm raging on
Buffeted forever
Do we Sunny Day?
Should I set Rain Dance instead?
Or do I press on?
A realization,
This sandstorm will subside soon.
When the battle ends.
As we go again,
The next game may be different.
C'est la vie; that's life.
The wisdom for us is the storm that trespasses may seem endless, we wonder what we shall do to change it.
But the storm will come to an end, nothing is permanent, everything is temporary.
The next day may be different, there could be another storm or a clear sky.
Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, but today is a gift.
That is why it is called the present.
With these words of wisdom, Week 5 commences.
Good luck to all teams!
