A second ghost hits the field replacing the first one. Lofty the Drifloon looks at his opponent, and only the intent of revenge sparkles in his eye. Not intimidated, Natu unleashes a ghostly wave at her opponent to hit for fixed damage. The balloon responds by releasing harmonizing waves into the air, lulling his opponent to sleep.

Natu is immobilized, dealing with the dark images of her dreams, while Lofty curses her opponent with a powerful chant, utilizing the status conditions to fuel his attack. The attack deals massive damage, awaking natu fron her slumber. However, the arena bestows a light upon the little bird, healing a portion of her health.

Natu releases dark shades once more, slowly but steadily dealing damage. The impatient ghost takes the hit and retaliates with a powerful dark move, once again dealing damage over the arena's limit. The ray of light shines once more, healing off some of Natu's wounds.

Natu summons some waves, implanting strange images into the Drifloon's mind. The baloon's mind becomes warped, distorting his vability to pull off attacks. Despite this, he still manages to summon up a curse and place it upon his foe. The attack hits a nerve ending, increasing the pain from the impact dramatically. However, the arena once again acts, removing a small amount of damage from the bird.

The Natu continues his assault with a ghostly attack of her own. She summons a extoplasmic ball and launches at Lofty, hitting for nice damage. However, the damage is also over the arena's limit, prompting a quick healing mid action. Lofty once again overcomes her confusion to hit with a weak, but effective, physical move, attempting to scare his opponent to death.

Natu summons more dark waves in order to finish off the round, once again dealing fixed damage. Meanwhile, Lofty finally succumbs to his confusion and hits himself. Luckily for him, the impact shakes him out of his status, allowing him to fight at full foce.
