I've been playing in indivs and team tournaments for RBY for about a year, with a very small amount of experience in GSC. I am looking to branch out into a generation where EVs are relevant and generally come out of it with a grasp on building and playing the tier. I have no experience in SM , and hope to significantly improve in that regard.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I joined PS back in Sep. 2023, and started out in the tours room around Jan 2024, where I learned most of my battling knowledge. My first ever competitive Smogon tournament was TLT in the tours room, where I not only was able to further apply what I've learned, but also gain more experience in general regarding competitive battling. With that, I've become more familiar with smogon's environment, and participated in several other tours such as RU Winter Seasonals, TP Winter Seasonals, OST, & ND 35 Pokes Trios. I decided to apply for NU tutoring because of how much this tier has grown on me recently, and I hope to also have the opportunity to study under a tutor to become a better player (and because I heard shen is tutoring :totodiLUL:).

I played ND a fair bit (peaked 1600 iirc) then switched to fairy gens OU. Peaked around 1500 in SS OU. Now, I want to compete at a higher level, win tournaments, get drafted and become a better pilot (hopefully peak ladder). I feel I might have plateaued a bit.

Started rating for various tiers in Trainer Academy where I'm now a room owner. Played in ndfl to middling success slotted in SS, but with the tera ban I'd like to pick up SV more seriously. I think I'm a decent clicker but my building is subpar.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've been playing mons for about a year, and in that time I've become one of the top randbats players, making top 16 of rands slam(the rands circuit similar to smogons grand slam), won the battle factory open, and went 5-1 this past rbtt. I was also voted the 3rd best newer player on the site this year. When it comes to doubles, I'm a lot newer, but have been getting good quite fast, reaching 88 gxe on the ladder, and starting 3-0 this osdt, taking down lemurro this past week. I'm looking to get help with how to use more diverse teams and how to find teams that I like more effectively, as well as with scouting for tour games and looking into some of the more advanced doubles skills, things like long term positioning and analyzing a matchup better on team preview.

Tell us a little about your experience in competitive Pokemon (min. 3 sentences): I've pretty much exclusively played doubles formats for the past 4 years I've been playing and had an interest in singles from being drafted in teamtours with both or managing ones with only singles formats. I've tried to get into it a few times but have had pretty much no success due to how big of a shift it is. I do want to learn AAA as a way to get started in singles while also being in a tier that was really interesting to me in OMPL due to how competitive it is at a high level while still allowing for extremely goofy sets, which I adore.

After a long break id like to come back to mnm but i feel like im out of touch with the current meta. I'd like to gain some experience in teambuilding and learning about the current meta and relevant threats in mnm and feel like tutoring is the best way as opposed to using a sample and running into a brick wall over and over and learn via trial and lots of errors
