penguin's convo with me had a bunch of stuff that there's very little reason he would claim if it weren't real. Yes, it could be really bad claiming, but... his mafia buddies woulda given him better than THAT if he were mafia. This is still a 50-50ish, but Maleovex's lack of substance COMBINED WITH not having a semi-active in advance caveat... Lynch Maleovex

I backed up, cleared my thoughts of this game for a bit, and then thought... upon discussing it, I felt that the INITIAL attempt to get the vote away from Maleovex onto Penguin reek of scumbuddies trying to get their ally not lynched. YES, I COULD BE WRONG. But this is a D1 lynch with no inspectors coming up and saying that someone needs a lynching.
 
Funny AG, I felt like Gale/Walrein have been doing exactly what you say except for on the other side (ie I think that if penguin flips mafia that Gale/Walrein look like good follow ups).

Who specifically are you calling out? Jalmont's vote seemed weird to me (though at least he explained himself a bit), but other than that I don't really see what you're talking about.

I'd prefer lynching a weird non-standard rogue role that's not been in a Yeti game before vs. a more standard rogue role, which has been in every single Yeti game I've ever played in.

Still I don't want to risk a tie lynch, so if a bunch of people switch I'll switch before deadline. It's more important to lynch someone and make sure we don't tie than to split hairs between two slightly different rogue claims.

Actually I just noticed that DLE took the time to change votes but hasn't done anything else.

So actually unvote Lynch Maleovex I'd prefer to get information on DLE.

AG if you're calling out jalmont maybe say why you don't find his reasoning post to be convincing?
 
It's more to do with how his dissent caused revealing information publically that didn't need to be, despite

That being said, I do want to throw it out there that we saw Haunted.Diamond do very similar things in the last NOC game, and he was a villager. In other words, inexperienced players playing erratically isn't necessarily as good evidence as when more experienced players do this. Based on what I know penguin was relatively AFK (which he does every single game as mafia in my experience) and only claimed after being called out in the thread. To me, that makes him a better candidate than someone whose behavior, while extremely scummy (hell, I was the one who called out that scumminess) might simply be due to not knowing how to play.

penguin344 tagging so that he can address my concerns; namely, why is your play this game significantly different from your play in recent games where you were mafia? Because they look awfully similar to me.

I'll be on before deadline so I will change my vote if my concerns are adequately answered. Aura Guardian might have something to say about this as well, tagging him as well.

Edit: To be clear, AG said he was convinced by what penguin said on IRC, and I would like to know why that is, given that there is now new evidence to suggest that penguin is a 50/50 for mafia.

the significant difference US is that:
a) I told yeti that my activity in this game would be shaky at best. She has confirmed this in the thread. I basically came into this game to "follow the leader" at yeti's request.
b) I was out all day yesterday visiting a college that I was accepted into. I can talk more about this on irc if you want more details, I don't really want to publicly post them.
c) I am approaching finals and have had projects I have had to work on.

I came home yesterday to find that I was being lynched. I talked to AG who appeared to be the village leader and explained this to him. He seemed satisfied and told me to lynch Sunny. I did so and went out to get dinner. I went to sleep and then I woke up and my role had been publicly posted and I was being lynched.

For clarification, my role is:
-I target someone.
-If their faction kills me, my ability activates.
-If my ability activates the person I targeted has their vote nullified for the remainder of the game and something else that yeti has not told me.

I do not know if I resurrect, nor am I supposed to know. Yes, this is a strange role. I am not certain why this should be surprising considering how yeti's games always have weird roles (instant unlimited day-ender, naive/paranoid inspectors, roles that cause false flips, etc.) If you have any more specific questions I'd be glad to answer them.

that information seems pretty important in taking into consideration who to lynch does it not? it isn't suspicious in the slightest to want more information to come to a better informed decision

regardless, i am unconvinced by any of these arguments and will be keeping my vote where it is for the time being. I find it very difficult to believe that there are two faction-wide rogues in play, a role that cannot be proved - on the flip side, I find Maleovex's behavior to be quite consistent with a beginner who is an individual role, which, while also unlikely, is at least more likely than having two team-wide roles that seemingly do the same thing.

I'll say. You guys go for newbies who have no experience with how to defend their roles/themselves and just claim what they were given but NEVER LEARN a newbie with a 'shady claim' probably has no team helping him.

Anyway, Maleovex claimed his role to the merciless elders: a rogue, a rogue!

And like idiots, they lynched a rogue once again.
