Moves
========

Knock Off is Alolan Muk's strongest STAB attack, providing secondary utility by removing items such as Klefki's Light Clay and Porygon2's Eviolite. Poison Jab gives Alolan Muk coverage for Dark-resistant Pokemon such as Mega Diancie, Mandibuzz, and Keldeo, has a chance to poison, and lets it act as a sweeper against Fairy teams. Curse lets Alolan Muk set up on a plethora of attackers and sweep teams. It also gives it Alolan Muk potential to take on opposing physical attackers such as Mega Sharpedo and Mega Aerodactyl. Recycle combined with Iapapa Berry gives Alolan Muk a form of reliable recovery.

Set Details
========

Gluttony lets Alolan Muk use a Berry after it drops to half its health or below. This, in conjunction with Iapapa Berry and Recycle, gives it reliable recovery. 252 HP and Special Defense EVs and a Careful nature maximizes Alolan Muk's special bulk, which works well with Curse mitigating its weakness to any physical attackers.

Usage Tips
========

Keep Alolan Muk as healthy as possible throughout a game by using Recycle frequently, especially against types such as Water where it's more useful as a check to special attackers than as a setup sweeper. Similarly, if Alolan Muk can provide more utility through Knock Off, bide your time and don't try to force yourself into setting up until late-game when checks such as Choice Band Victini are weakened or KOed. Curse Alolan Muk's claim to fame is founded in the Fairy matchup, so set up against weaker Pokemon, notably Klefki and Choice-locked Tapu Bulu, and look out for Knock Off users like Azumarill and Clefable. Also, it will rarely be capable of outright sweeping from the get-go, so weaken some of its checks and go for setup late-game. Checks like Choice Band Diggersby are capable of switching in on Curse and forcing Alolan Muk out, so attacking them on the switch, especially early-game, could leave them crippled and potentially prevent them from checking Alolan Muk later on. Similarly, try to spread poison via Poison Jab to wear down checks. Knock Off does significantly less damage once the foe's item has been removed, so use Poison Jab in these cases for higher damage output. Avoid status, specifically burn and paralysis, and at all costs avoid Knock Off, as Alolan Muk losing its Iapapa Berry will cripple it for the entire game.

Team Options
========

Hydreigon has Taunt to beat checks to Alolan Muk such as Taunt Gliscor and Haze Toxapex. It also provides a Ground immunity, forcing some prediction with opposing Ground-types like Nidoking. Knock Off from Alolan Muk helps Hydreigon break down walls like Porygon2 as well. Mega Sableye is able to bounce back status-inducing moves like Will-O-Wisp and entry hazards like Stealth Rock that quickly wear down Alolan Muk. It also weakens physical attackers, giving Alolan Muk more freedom to set up. Alolan Muk can be supported by means of Pursuit from Krookodile or Weavile to take care of some of its more common checks, notably Choice Band Victini and Diggersby. Tyranitar is able to spread status, set Stealth Rock to wear down foes for Alolan Muk, and take care of special threats, giving Alolan Muk more room to set up and relieving some of the pressure that special attackers force on it. Mandibuzz is able to clear hazards and check physical attackers like Mega Lopunny and Azumarill that Alolan Muk would otherwise struggle with. Greninja can force out wallbreakers like Diggersby that beat Alolan Muk as well as set up Spikes to soften offensive checks lacking recovery.

Checks and Counters
===================

Dark
--------
**Knock Off**: Knock Off from Pokemon like Mega Sableye and Clefable permanently cripples Curse Alolan Muk for the remainder of the game, as it can't heal with Iapapa Berry after it has been removed.

**Taunt**: Taunt prevents Curse Alolan Muk from boosting and healing, effectively beating it.

move 2: Poison Jab
move 3: Curse
move 4: Recycle
item: Iapapa Berry
ability: Gluttony
nature: Careful
evs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD

[SET COMMENTS]

Moves
========

* Knock Off is Alolan Muk's strongest STAB, providing secondary utility by removing foes' items.
* Poison Jab gives Alolan Muk coverage for resists like Fairy-, Dark-, and Fighting-types and has a chance to poison.
- imo focus on what more poison jab specifically can hit like Tapu Koko/Azumarill

* Curse lets Alolan Muk set up on a plethora of attackers and sweep opposing teams.
* Recycle gives Alolan Muk a form of reliable recovery.
- idk if id call it reliable since it relies on a berry & not being knocked off

Set Details
========

* Iapapa Berry + Gluttony lets Alolan Muk successfully utilize Recycle.
- this is vague, talk about how gluttony lets it use the berry earlier and how that helps it setup easier

* 252 HP + 252 SpD investment and a Careful nature lets it be as specially bulky as possible.

Usage Tips
========

* Keep Alolan Muk as healthy as possible throughout a game by going with a safe Recycle frequently, especially against types such as Water where it's more useful as a check to special attackers than as a set up sweeper.
* Similarly, if Aloaln Muk servers a greater role as utility through Knock Off, bide your time and don't try to force yourself into Curse until late-game when its checks are weakened.
* The inspiration for Curse Alolan Muk are the Electric and Fairy matchups, so play safely with your wincon against said types to win.
- expand this bullet

* Damage offensive checks like Diggersby early-game by attacking them on switch in.

* talk about avoiding being knocked off
* avoiding burn (if possible)

Team Options
========

* say how dark teams appreciate it being able to take on fairy-attacks

* Hydreigon provides a ground immunity, forcing some prediction with opposing Ground-types like Nidoking.
- also talk about how stallbreaker hydreigon can break walls such as Toxapex for it

* Mega Sableye is able to bounce back annoying status like burn and hazards like Stealth Rock that quickly wear down Alolan Muk. It also weakens physically attacking Pokemon, giving Alolan Muk more freedom to set up.
- talk about how mega sableye can act as a knock off switchin for alolan muk vs weaker users of it like such as gliscor

* Tyranitar is able to spread status and set Stealth Rock to wear down foes for Alolan Muk. Tyranitar can also take care special threats for Alolan Muk such as x, giving it more room to set up and releasing some of the pressure that special attackers force on it.
* Mandibuzz is able to clear hazards with Defog and check physical attackers like Mega Lopunny that Alolan Muk would otherwise struggle with.
* Greninja can force out wallbreakers like Diggersby that beat Alolan Muk as well as set up Spikes to soften offensive checks lacking recovery.

* Knock Off is Alolan Muk's strongest STAB, providing secondary utility by removing foes' items.
* Poison Jab gives Alolan Muk coverage for Dark resists like Fairy-, Dark-, and Fighting-types and has a chance to poison. Also enables it to be a wincon vs. Fairy.
* Curse lets Alolan Muk set up on a plethora of attackers and sweep opposing teams. Can also talking about boosting its Defense to help it effectively take on physical attackers that otherwise threaten it, with examples.
* Recycle gives Alolan Muk a form of reliable recovery.

Set Details
========

* Iapapa + Gluttony lets Alolan Muk successfully utilize Recycle. Agree with maroon, you need to expand on this. Talk about why Gluttony pairs so well with and enables Iapapa Berry which realistically is the only reason this set works effectively.
* 252 HP + 252 SpD investment and a Careful nature lets it be as specially bulky as possible.

Usage Tips
========

List some examples of checks.
* The inspiration for Curse Alolan Muk are the Electric and Fairy matchups, so play safely with your wincon against said types to win. Very vague - saying "play safely because it's your wincon vs these types" isn't really a tip. What are you recommending the person actually does to be sure to enable this?
* Damage offensive checks like Diggersby early-game by attacking them on switch in. This is super vague and isn't really a tip. Are you saying to attack Pokemon in general in the early game that might look to switch into a Curse? Probably rewrite to be moe specific.
* Avoid status, specifically burn and paralysis, and at all costs avoid Knock Off, as Alolan Muk losing its Iapapa Berry will cripple it for the entire game.

Team Options
========

* Hydreigon provides a ground immunity, forcing some prediction with opposing Ground-types like Nidoking. It also has Taunt to beat checks to Alolan Muk such as Taunt Gliscor and Haze Toxapex. Focus more on it being a stallbreaker, as it can effectively take on Pokemon that wall and/or straight up beat Alolan Muk.
* Mega Sableye is able to bounce back annoying status like burn and hazards like Stealth Rock that quickly wear down Alolan Muk. It also weaknes physically attacking Pokemon, giving Alolan Muk more freedom to set up.
* Tyranitar is able to spread status and set Stealth Rock to wear down foes for Alolan Muk. Tyranitar can also take care special threats for Alolan Muk, giving it more room to set up and releasing some of the pressure that special attackers force on it.
* Mandibuzz is able to clear hazards and check physical attackers like Mega Lopunny that Alolan Muk would otherwise struggle with.

Overview:
- "Curse gives... thanks to Curse" lol
- Also, explain why. What makes Curse so good versus them?
- Briefly mention the recovery option from Gluttony, Iapapa, Recycle

Set:
- Tag the name as (Dark)

Moves:
- Knock Off for removing Eviolite is worth noting too.
- Examples of what Poison Jab hits?

Set Details:
- Gluttony one sentence. Iapapa Berry one sentence. Not two repeated sentences. Briefly mention longevity.
- Why does special bulk matter here? Can we have more detail there?

Usage Tips:
- Definitely note that Knock Off is much weaker if you've already Knocked Off the foe's item. Discuss strategy about this.
- Even without Poison Touch, spreading poison is great early-game.
- Bluff options
- Talk about using Alolan Muk in the Fairy matchup. Setup opportunities? When to sweep? Etc. This is one of the main reasons the set is used, so it needs to be discussed.

Team Options:
- A Pursuit trapper such as Krookodile or Weavile can help take out some checks like Choice Band Victini or weaken those like Diggersby as they try to run away.
- Discuss its uses on balance / HO teams, which it favors, how it can be supported, etc.

Checks and Counters:
- Why is this "Poison"?
- Taunt blocks both Recycle and Curse, which is huge.

I know this is in GP, but I have a slight suggestion for the EV spread. 252 HP / 12 Def / 244 SpD allows Alolan Muk to live Choice Band Victini's V-Create at +1 after Stealth Rock chip.

252 Atk Choice Band Victini V-create vs. +1 252 HP / 12 Def Muk-Alola: 306-361 (73.9 - 87.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO after Stealth Rock
