In addition to what others have mentioned, Sacred Sword is a solid coverage option for a lot of mons and it ignores the defense boosts from Cotton Guard. Going for defense boosts is better left to Corviknight and other mons that aren’t weak to Sacred Sword.

Why ever use sacred sword over storm throw? Any viable battle/shell armor Pokemon compared to the extra utility of crits also ignoring screens?

Why ever use sacred sword over storm throw? Any viable battle/shell armor Pokemon compared to the extra utility of crits also ignoring screens?

Sacred Sword does the same non-crit damage as Storm Throw does while Storm Throw crits.
Screens are also not so common and Sacred Sword has way more PP.
