Someone who knows their role PM doesn't do themselves any favors by telling the mafia that they do or eliminating even more possibilites for what flyhn could be (for instance)

This kind of thing drops off very quickly. People with even a little more info can solve the rest of the game a lot faster and the mafia have reason to lie while town have reason not to.

fair enough. claiming targets is still a terrible idea since if, say, the psych targets scum the scum knows who to off
 
After looking over every Town or Scum role I can possibly be, there's low risk involved in outing the target. Only problem would be if i'm Hooker (the only maf role I could still be), in which case boooooo

I targeted Yeti last night
 
how much info do people want me to give? obviously i have a lot of insight onto what flyhn can be based on my results but idk how much people want in the ether about a. flyhn b. myself

guess other person who targeted me, you're the watcher!
 
IF i got hooked and i was the godfather i'd know flyhn HAD to be the hooker so i COULD lie about it, sure

however i am not the godfather so. ayy.

Alrighty then, time to get to business

Since Yeti just disproved i'm hooker, i've proven my towine-ness to myself at the very least. Neat! Also Yeti's closer to knowing my role rn than I am, but honestly that doesn't matter. I don't want her outing herself to prove my role yet (Very bad If GF knows TWO town roles right off the bat)

Massclaiming targets is kinda risky, as we could easily lose powerful roles in doing so, i'd refrain from doing it, at least for now. If for some reason we REALLY need to know who's what by a certain time, then we could end up resorting to such strategies.
 
This game is more of a puzzle than a traditional mafia game, a lot like c5. I think it would be ridiculous not to examine all of our results so that in future days we can see who targeted what and see if there are any contradictions. Also it would be n o f u n

IN FACT, if we forgo having everyone claim their results/who they targeted today, it will only give the mafia more time and more information with which they can create contradiction-free claims.

For almost everyone it makes sense to assume that you're village, if you don't know who you are - this route leads to the highest probability of you winning the game. So you shouldn't fret too much about it, I think.

Last night I targeted Ditto and got no results. I can't be the silencer.

vonFiedler can you confirm that my understanding of results is correct? By that I actually mean several different questions regarding results.

1) If I have a role that targets someone, like Dr. P. Sychiatrist, and am stopped from performing this role for whatever reason, would I get a result telling me this? Would there be flavor in the result telling me which role stopped me? My current understanding is "yes" to the first question.

2) If I am targeted by the personal trainer and I have a role that targets someone, would I be informed that my action's target had been changed?

I had a much longer post written but it's worthless if my understanding of the two above questions aren't correct.

1) If you have a role that targets someone and are stopped from performing it, you are informed that you failed, but not why.

2) You would not be informed your target was changed
 
Alright. So now that we know rssp1 is silenced, this is where we are for D1. We have the potential for up to 4 people to know what role they are. This is assuming everyone has told the truth about their targets and such.

1. Godfather starts off knowing who he is.
2. Target of the Psychiatrist who finds out what role they are.
3. The Watcher who targeted Yeti as. Note that the Mayor could also have targeted Yeti and not shown up through the Watcher because they don't have a role.
4. The Silencer who targeted rssp1. Note that rssp1 could have had multiple people targeting them.
