Introduction
I've lurked Smogon for a while, and I'm starting to understand competitive battling more.
This is my first RMT (sorry for the extremely limited descriptions). Since I'm still new, all my sets are Smogon sets.

Gliscor @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Veil
EVs: 168 HP / 88 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Roost
- Stealth Rock
- Taunt
My lead Gliscor. Gets up Stealth Rock a lot of the time, unless I predict wrong (which happens a lot to me). If Gliscor survives
and I get sandstorm going with Tyranitar, Sand Veil is a huge nuisance to my opponent. I'm thinking of switching Earthquake
for U-Turn so I can get Gliscor out quicker. Gliscor is the first of 3 ground-immune Pokemon on my team, which is important
because the other 3 Pokemon on my team are weak to ground.
Tyranitar @ Leftovers
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Stone Edge
- Crunch
- Fire Punch
Just a basic Dragon Dancing Tyranitar. He gets a lot of kills if my opponent isn't expecting Dragon Dance and I can set up.
I'm thinking of switching Leftovers for a Babiri Berry so I can live a Bullet Punch from Scizor. I usually switch into this guy
after setting up (or not setting up) rocks with Gliscor. Fire Punch lets me deal with Steels,
except Scizor who enjoys Bullet Punching me.
Rotom-c @ Leftovers
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 252 HP / 168 Def / 88 Spd
Bold nature (+Def, -Atk)
- Discharge
- Shadow Ball
- Will-o-wisp
- Leaf Storm
My spin blocker. This guy deals with Swampert, which the rest of my team doesn't like. I switch into Rotom when I predict a
Fighting-typed move aimed at Tyranitar. Will-o-wisp screws up physical sweepers. I like Discharge over Thunderbolt because
I feel the 30% paralyze rate is worth the drop in power. The second of my ground immunities and one of my two special attackers.
Flygon @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Levitate
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
Jolly nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
- Earthquake
- Outrage
- U-turn
- Stone Edge
Flygon is my revenge killer. I'm thinking of running Adamant for extra power. Earthquake and Outrage
provide extremely strong STAB attacks, Stone Edge is powerful in general, and U-turn allows me to
switch out instantly. Flygon is my last ground immunity.
Empoleon @ Petaya Berry
Ability: Torrent
EVs: 24 Def / 252 SAtk / 232 Spd
Modest nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
- Agility
- Substitute
- Surf
- Ice Beam
Agility SubPetaya Empoleon. If I can get her set up, she can KO a lot of the opponent's Pokemon.
Torrent and Petaya Berry boosted Surf hurts a lot. Empoleon is extremely important to my team
as there are only two specially oriented Pokemon on my team.
Metagross @ Life Orb
Ability: Clear Body
EVs: 112 HP / 252 Atk / 12 Def / 132 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Agility
- Meteor Mash
- Earthquake
- Thunderpunch
Agiligross. Perhaps Leftovers would be a better alternative to Life Orb, as the recoil damage adds up quickly. Metagross
has great typing with only two weaknesses, making it easy for him to set up his Agility. Meteor Mash is a strong STAB
move, and the attack boost is always nice to get. Earthquake and Thunderpunch give me more coverage.
Any suggestions would be appreciated. :)
