Hard predictions:

Aeroblacktyl vs Junior - I know MoP and Junior are both good, though I know Junior much more than MoP, so I'm going with him.

Giga-Punch vs Tsurukawa - GP and Ryo are both good, so I chose Ryo over GP, but this could go both ways.

husk vs Calciphone - husk probaly might be more experienced, though I know Calciphoce much better, and Calci will KILL me when I predict against him.

Aldaron vs Gormenghast - Alright, this is probaly the hardest prediction to make out of all my predictions, as Aldaron and Gorm are both great players. I'm going with Aldaron because I think he's better at non-OU things. Gorm is really good too. I personally know Gorm pretty well, so it's about time he killed me...

Twist of Fate vs Ripchord - ToF and Ripchord ard both pretty good, though I have to go with ToF on this one, because I know him better than Ripchord, and more people say ToF is great.

Gouki vs Pilocus - Gouki and Pilocus are both great. Gouki is extremely underestimated, unlike what most people say, but I'm going to go with Pilocus because he's the one that wins lots of tournments.

lol Freeze Clause. I guess that's important for the people who Metronome Roar or Whirlwind.

To stick to the Anime I am going to sweep you all with the strongest pokemon in existence!

Pikachu@ nothing
Iron Tail
Dodge It
Aim for the Horn
Thundershock

Try and beat me!

Yeah my half-assed attempt to be funny.

Dont forget Junior that this is entirely different compared to normal battling... these matches are based almost solely off match ups for the most part as opposed to prediction, and countering.

So dont fret just because you are up against Mop... for the most part each match will be based off the match-up of the teams rather than the skill of the players...

At least imo

MoP is pretty good at such off-the-road tournaments though, and each move actually counts more than in a normal battle.

Choice Items are a mixed bag.

On the one hand, once you actually get them in, the opponent can't run, so chances are you'll get a free KO right then and there.

But for that same reason, any move that locks you into a move type that has an immunity should be looked at very carefully.

It'd suck to kill Blissey with a Choiced Close Combat, only to have Gengar come out next.

Gengar isn't a huge problem to give free turns to because it cannot set up anything, it'll just kill your Luke.

I'm available for test battles, just ask me on IRC/PM. I'm not in.

okay, after testing around on Shoddy, Memento SHOULD BE BANNED. If your opponent has a team of 3 of them, and they all of scarfs (jumpluff, Gardevoir), they are going to set up, and that takes the fun out of it completly

If you are afraid of it then use Sweepers that have a +2 boosting move or something, and boost when you expect the memento.

Actually, a big problem I could see with memento is using it combination with a belly drummer. Memento provides the perfect setup for what could be a game winning sweep. Also about the sweepers issue, a smart memento player would use it at the oppurtune moment, not at a time where its effects can be easily negated.

The greatest way to beat Memento users is to outspeed them, and since Deoxys-E is allowed that shouldn't be a problem

Yeah
