Anyone watch House?

As in House M.D starring Hugh Laurie (who was also in the old show Blackadder).

What makes me so interested in the show is:

1). The medical mysteries. Sometimes you think this kind of stuff can't happen, but House is kind (ha, kind) enough to explain most of the medical stuff to you.

2). House himself. A miserable medical genius. His wit, and Sherlock Holmes-like skills of finding out things about people from the little actions they do is pretty cool.

3). Some (not all) of the character's stories, like Foreman's.

To my knowledge, Laurie has won two awards for his role of Dr. House.

I've watched this show for a year now, it's brilliant. I'm curious to see what they'll do after this season's cliffhanger ending.

My sister always watches House.

The thing I liked about it are the medical mysteries. It is quite awesome to see how they know what disease it is. I am really into this category (mystery).

The thing I don't like is the story and the background of the character. It seems so uninteresting and long-winded, but maybe it is just me.

Overall I think this serie is worth watching it if you like "mysteries".

Agreed, love to see what new team House brings in. I know the old team will still play some sort of a role in the fourth season.

I watch when I can, it's really entertaining. It's not something I follow religiously, like Heroes for example, but I still watch it from time to time. I love how House seems to be a total ass, but then you realize that he's right like 95% of all times.
There was this weird fucking episode where he gets shot and the whole episode is a giant allucination. It freaked me out because I was totally clueless, lol.

I just watched that episode yesterday. It's called No Reason.

Yea it was a giant hallucination. The guy with the swollen tongue was...weird (things blowing up).

House is great. I don't watch it every time it's on, but whenever I'm watching TV, I check to see if it's on. Funny and the mysteries are really interesting.

We should post some of our favorite quotes from House. Here's a couple of mine.

Patient: *Measures his own pulse.*
Dr. House: "What was it?"
Patient: "26."
Dr. House: "Ok...either you're about to die in two seconds, or you suck at math."
...
...
Dr. House: "You suck at math."

---

Female Intern: Um, Dr. House? You're reading a comic book.
Dr. House: And you are wearing a low cut top drawing attention to your bossum.
Female Intern: ...
Dr. House: Oh! I'm sorry, I thought we were taking turns stating the obvious.

I love House. I download the episodes off Limewire these days so I can watch them whenever I want.
One of my favourite quotes:
House: I got hit by a bullet.
Cameron: You was shot?
House: No. Someone chucked it at me.

Favorite "House-isms":

Chase: How'd you like it if I interfered in your personal life?
House: I'd hate it. That's why, cleverly, I have no personal life.

House: Foreman, you gotta steal one of these things for me.
Foreman: Let me ring up one of the homies.

House: The kid is having nightmares. Only happen at night. It's right there in the name.

House: I was curious. Since I'm not a cat, that's not dangerous.
Wilson: I don't think that metaphor was created to actually warn cats.

Cuddy: You put both of them in isolation for a reason. Joe's death elevates this situation into a bio-safety level three.
House: Oooh, level three. You should call Jack Bauer!

Cameron: Foreman's black.
House: What?! How long have you been sitting on this information?

that came from one of my favorite episodes. House is a good show. Its not one of my favorites like heros or lost but when it is on i always find my self watching it. But the show has been starting to get dry a little bit for me. I'm starting to find it too predictable. Since it seems too many of the episodes turn out with house knowing what to do the whole time while other people try and tell him he's wrong.

I admit, it does get predictable, but what keeps me going is just how mysterious the disease is, or what house has to do to get it.

Some episodes, someone else other than house figures out what's wrong. I know one episode Chase got it right, but House punched him in the face (withdrawal). Usually if it's not House, it's Chase.

it's amazing, I only started watching it a few months or so ago. =/ It's fairly predictable most of the time but still very entertaining.

I love the humor in the series. House's sarcasm, witty remarks, and his genius is what makes him a great character.

House is amazing, I've watched it since the 3rd episode(Which I think was when it started airing with American Idol). Its an AMAZING Series, and Hugh Laurie acts out his own American accent and a limp.

I watch House on a weekly basis (every new episode) on Fox and I really enjoy it, mostly because of his character which I feel a relatio with. There is still a slight flaw in the show: almost EVERY episode follows this formula
-Patient gets to hospital
-Tests
-Test for A
-No
-Test for B, while testing something happens
-B is excluded
-House says it's C
-They start treat for C
-In the middle of the process due to divine inspiration House finds out it's D

This last step is almost always in every episode, it's annoying. There's also a tad of unrealism: they do truckloads of MRIs and PET scans when they cost an equivalent truckload of money.

All in all, I love it because it's a different aproach to a lot of similar shows as it focuses more on the disease than on the patient which is what draws people intoit.

House is amazing. Whats really amazing is how they've made something as boring as medical stuff so interesting. The best part for me is probably House (the character) himself and Hugh Laurie's brilliant acting.

It's one of my favorite shows of all time; ever since it came on FOX I've been hooked. House is a quality character, and Wilson makes for a very good compliment to him.

@[Yunoehoo]: hah, I binge-read that a few days ago.

House is a fantastic show. I have watched every episode since the very first, and it is really a fantastic show. It is true that all the episodes follow the same plot, but with a show like this, IMO, there is not other way to do it.
P.S. Wilson and Amphetamines is hillarious

I keep thinking this show comes on Comedy Central, I don't know why...

I've seen the show, and while I don't really remember much about the episodes I watched it was pretty cool.

Haha, yeah, it's a great show as long as you don't start dissecting its formula. That said, I don't watch it regularly but my mom does, and whenever I happened to be at home when it came on I'd watch it too. Awesome show, Laurie deserve all the recognition he's getting.
