Tell us a little about yourself/ Why should I be tutored:Having started with the original Red/ blue series, i completed all three games of gen 1+2, but grew away from pokemon when I got older. within the past year of going to university, I have taken up Playing platinum and white, reviving my interest in the pokemon series. Having completed the stories of both, the only thing left is competative play.
I am literally a blank slate. I know about EV's, IV's, in game breeding and battlign basics, but playing against the in game AI is much different to a living, thinking person, and i;ve little experience with even the most standards of teams. I have done much background reading and hear alot of terms floating around, with a rough idea of what each are, but i would benefit greatly from having someone explain it to me. To tutor me.
I realise I have 0 posts, and would love to embed myself amongst your community, with this being my first step should you allow me to be tutored. Being a uni student, I am a fast learner and will take full advantage of the opportunity, as i realise its not a common opportunity.
As for about myself I'm a keen archer and rugby player of 7 years. Currently at university

Tell us a little about yourself: I've been in a massive slump since the June/July server issues. After that month of downtime, I lost my edge as a player and haven't been playing nearly as well as I did before. Now that Excadrill and Thundurus have been banned, I decided that it would be a good time to go through tutoring so that I could fix my problems and get started on the new metagame with proper guidance. Although I've done a little bit of playing in this new metagame, which is considerably friendlier to my preferred playing style, I've still been having difficulty succeeding. I'd also like to learn BW UU, since it looks like a really fun tier, but I've been having trouble getting started on my own, so I'd like some help with that as well. I'd also like to prepare for the 8th Smogon Tournament.

Any tutor matched with me would probably be able to handle another tutee as well, since my schedule leaves clear spots where the tutor would have free time.

I used to play 4th-gen OU a bit and was alright. I haven't had much recent experience with 5th-gen, though, and my team-building skills aren't always stellar, so any further advice would be welcome. Kinda want to experience 5th-gen UU, but it seems OU might balance somewhat with Excadrill gone.

Tell us a little about yourself: I am an 18 year old Canadian college student who loves hockey, video games, and just plain chilling out. I've been playing competitive pokemon for quite a while now and would like to think I've gained a pretty good understanding of the metagame, and have above average teambuilding skills. However, I've never quite grasped the whole prediction and long term planning thing, and would definately like to improve on my in battle skills. I have given a go with just about every playstyle. So I can pick up information quickly since I already understand how each of them work. I'm pretty active around here, so chances are I'll actually show up :P

Tell us a little about yourself: I'm a high school freshman who plays piano and guitar (lessons) and does karate. I enjoy anime and most of its corresponding franchises. You could say I'm like an otaku. I have been playing yugioh and pokemon competitively on and off for the past year or so.I've been playing pokemon since i was 6, and my first game was fire red. I've been following the rpgs ever since then. I used to be part of pbc, until they started acting like complete idiots and got me banned. I've been playing the ou metagame for a good while now and i think i should have a tutor.

Also, i have yet to be tutored and I'm unaware if this is just some forum game or if I'm REALLY going to get tutored. Many times here I've seen complaints of tutors ignoring their pupils, and again, I'm unsure.

Tell us a little about yourself: I have been waiting for eons to get an application in for being tutored. Every time I stop by to look, the thread is locked. I'm here now, almost three years after I first started getting interested in competitive battling. I've made many competitive teams over the years, trying to figure out the secrets to being great at this game, but to no avail. I've read the articles on the Smog, observed teams in RMT threads, and I still can't seem to grasp onto it. I know I have the potential, though. There's just something I am missing. I believe an experienced tutor can help me discover my flaws in competitive battling, help flesh out my strengths and weaknesses, and mold me into the battler I know I can be.

An additional note about my general battling style: I have a strong inclination towards offensive teams, and to an extent balance lately because of the current meta's affection with strong and bulky Pokemon. Specifically I enjoy making teams with late-game sweeper Lucario as its focal point or at least including him into the mix as a surprise scarfed-mon because Lucario is my absolute favorite Pokemon. I have also liked building teams surrounding a Dragon Dancer like Salamence or Dragonite.

Why I should be tutored: I'm a quick learner. My teambuilding skills are really really poor (I can build sand teams, that's all I can do) but in prediction part, I'm pretty good with some small flaws. But in order to do that, I have to know what the opponent's pokemon can do and can't do. I don't miss sessions too.

Tell us a little about yourself: Just your average college student, and a long time Pokemon fan. I first got into competitive battling back in late 2008, shortly before Platinum was released in the U.S. After initially being uninterested in it, I started getting into the gen 5 metagame after the BW strategy dex was released a few months ago. I’ve built okay teams so far, usually peaking with a rating around 1250 – 1300, but I want to take the next step and improve even more. My teams are generally pretty balanced, but I'm open to learning as many different play styles as possible. I guess on a more personal note, I’m a big music, sports, and RPG lover.
Why should I be tutored?: While I don’t have 25 posts, I’ve been a member of the forums for nearly two years now, and was a lurker for almost a year before that. My post count is probably lower than it should be, since most of my earlier posts here were in the wifi battle threads, which I assume are cleared out whenever a new thread is made.
