Why do people use Arceus? It's impossible to get, and is thus just as illegal as, say, Nasty Plot Mewtwo and Recover Cresselia.

I guess what I'm trying to say is stop using Arceus against me. It's an illegal Pokemon.
 
You can get Movie 10 Darkrai. You can get Shaymin with a glitch in the Japanese version of DP. Arceus cannot be gotten anywhere without an AR / whatever.
 
Some people think of hacking event tickets makes their Pokémon semi-legit, and therefore passable. Some people do not think this way and call semi-legit Pokémon 'hacked', and their views so hacked and non-hacked Pokémon should be respected.

I honestly do not care if a Pokémon is semi-legit, as long as they have not been hacked for IVs and have the proper stat range.
 
movie darkrai is legit.

and glitched arceus and shaymin, if its from the jap version only. but how many people actually have those? .... better... how many on smogon?

i guess a lot of people 'accept' hacked events/event items. but i guess count me out.
 
I believe the glitch in the early Japanese copies can reach the two you mentioned. I'm pretty sure I've read that you can't reach Arceus with it.

By the way, I don't approve of semi-legit stuff OR glitch-reached things, so the only one of these things I'm OK with is Movie Darkrai.
 
you can get arceus through a glitch in the first several presses/printings w/e you wana call em, copys of the japan version of DP

anyway, the peopole that use arceus in ubers use versions of it where the stats, moves, and code of it are 100% legit, unlike a recover cresslia or a nasty plot mewtwo.

i still dont condone the use of ar to obtain poke personally, but i wouldnt really care if i fought a shaymin in a bl battle if it was legit in terms of stats
 
Are you talking about Shoddy or Wi-fi? If shoddy, I see nothing wrong with it, everyone there uses Max IV which is way cheaper than using Arceus imo.

If you're talking about Wi-fi which I doubt, you're right. However, a lot of people still allow semi-legit stuff including me because the IVs aren't hacked.
 
It's like the hacked parents vs unhacked debate. IMO hacking the event is the same as hacking a parent, but who really gives a shit as long as the actual pokemon is legit?
 
You can't get Arceus anywhere ever in any game with any known method. You can get to Arceus's room, but you are stuck just short of confronting it.
 
Yeah I know alot of people prefer legitness. Definately gives you that feeling of accomplishment if you don't hack (CMT lol).

Speaking of Arceus...are they actually gonna release this guy or shaymin in the near future?

No offense, but I don't like semi-legit stuff. The only reason I took those Darkrais of yours was to trade to other people. I was okay with having them on my game because I already have a Movie Darkrai, so your ones wouldn't get me Dex data that isn't possible legally. You know what I'm saying.

BTW, what exactly DOES stop you from reaching Arceus with the glitch? I've read that it has something to do with you can catch it, but then you're stuck there.
 
Why do people use Arceus? Because it's a pokemon. What game are we playing again?

The actual event involves some stairs being created taking you up to Arceus IIRC. That cannot be done using the glitch.
 
I do not have a problem with Arceus, and here is why.

1) To get an Arceus, you have to use a AR. So what, people use AR's. I am not against using an AR. I'm against pokesav.
2) Where is Arceus used? He chills out in the UBER environment. Ok, No problem with this either. He belongs their. He is brokenly awesome strong, but look, he actually has a good and balanced use in that environment.
3) So, it has a good place, a good use. Beyond that. Big deal. I just have a problem when "hacking" into a full perfect set of IV's gives a player a beyond unfar advantage.

Oh, I've seen that in videos where people hacked the event. That makes me wonder, does the staircase disappear after you've dealt with Arceus? Because if it doesn't, how stupid would you feel if you forgot the item for Palkia/Dialga and were then unable to get to it?

It's funny in the context of this thread that you claim to have an Arceus that hasn't been "altered in any way" in your trade thread, only after you mentioned that you don't want any hacked pokemon.

edit: it's actually your partner's...but I think Obi made his point already. Even still, you link to the topic with hacked pokemon in your sig and the trade topic is 1/2 yours. no need to get sarcastic over a really easy "mistake" to make (since your username is still involved in it)

Also, yeah, I agree with banning Arceus until its released with an event in the same way that I feel that GTA: San Andreas didn't deserve an AO rating for the Hot Coffee mod. I hope that made as much sense in writing as it did when i was thinking about it =\

Fix/etc.

You're comparing fake Pokemon to Pokemon that are difficult to acquire or require hacking events to obtain legitimately, which is not only an incorrect comparison, but a retarded one at that.
