ASB LC Tournament: General Information/Sign Ups

Okay I'll call YAS in since I'm only now home to close this, and we officially end sign ups with a nice even 40 players in the tournament.

I know I've got a few profiles sitting in my inbox but if everyone else can get theirs in ASAP we can get this started quick smart. One week from now (give or take) will be the DQ for failing to send a profile. I wouldn't suggest testing me on this, nor on DQ throughout the tournament itself.

EDIT: also if you've sent me your team and its been like 4 or 5 days and I haven't replied then kindly send another PM to nudge me, it might have gotten lost in my inbox

Yeah, due to hiatus, I'm backing down on this. I'm sorry to everyone who wanted a go at me, but my mind isn't on an ASB track right now.
 
Someonelese will be taking the spot left by Canis Majoris and we remain at that nice even 40. I will be sitting down tomorrow morning to work through all the profiles in my inbox but the deadline is fast approaching. Although I have not counted I would guess conservatively that at least 10 people are yet to send me anything, I'd really prefer this tournament was not held up unnecessarily this early on.
 
Okay guys another update. Deadline for teams is fast approaching and I've updated the OP to what should be the current state of everyone's teams. Those who haven't gotten a reply PM from me yet are either waiting with my new co-host (Dogfish44) or in my inbox because at this point I really can't look at any more.

However these 10 people: adiass Ascher Chinchou111 Eternal Drifter Gale Wing Srock Gerard kingmidas P2X7 S0L1D G0LD YellowAdminSilver I've not received anything from. When I get home from work tomorrow will be ~8 hours after the deadline, at that point anyone who has not sent me a team (and I mean a real attempt at a team, not some placeholder waiting for me to not approve to buy time) will unfortunately be out.

If I've messed up anyone's status in the OP let me know, I've got a lot of teams to deal with at the moment.
 
Quick question: With the whole Greninja/Froakie Protean nerf going on, when said nerf is actually finalized, will it affect the remainder of the unstarted tournament matches?
 
I think that this LCT was a benchmark for getting this done faster, and no battles have been started yet soo..
I would assume the nerf would affect froakie.
 
The nerf hasn't been decided on yet (and/or officially announced), so I'm wondering about what happens when it does actually become finalized.
 
What happens is once voting is done (its already started) froakie curls into a ball and cries.

I am actually basing my comments off of the fact that IAR said in the greninja thread that hes aiming to finish voting for LCT. Also one of his "if this takes too long then" statements was that the changes wouldnt affect for LCT

Woah calm down everyone, dogfish and I will discuss things relating to Froakie and let everyone know once a decision has been made. Presuming anything before then would be foolish.

ANYWAY

Deadline for team submission is officially passed. Right now I have 19 approved teams and 16 teams either awaiting small fixes or needing my eyes over them still. I will be doing a big approval run tomorrow night (aka in 24 hours) and look to have the first round started on the weekend). I might have mentioned before but for those that did not take note I will be VERY strict on DQ for this tournament (specifics to come with round 1) and by that notion Chinchou111 Eternal Drifter Gerard kingmidas are all removed from the tournament due to failing to submit a team by the deadline. However, since I don't want odd numbers going into round 1 I will allow the first and only the first of those four to send me their team back in, on a one time only deal. Get in second and too bad, so if you want to be in this I suggest you get that team in ASAP

Edit: for those playing along at home Gerard has taken the final slot and our 36 players are set

Yeah, I'm afraid I'm going to have to pull out officially. I can't manage to get a team together due to all that is going on in my life right now. Sorry about that.
