[ASBuddies - Round 1] 15,262 Ricks vs Team Shockingly Normal

Burd: Welcome everyone! How are you doing today? I guess we owe an explanation to all of you for our sudden disappearance. We apologize for any inconvenience it might have caused you and the disappointment that we would have left behind.

McKrow: Tell them already, no point in dragging it.

Burd: Well our town, Soreather, has been under a disaster of late and a lot of Absols and Mega Absols have come over to help, but the strange thunderstorm still rages and all the pokemon in the town are now afraid, especially the bird pokemon.

McKrow: So we wouldn't be able to present any battles to you, for now atleast.

Referee: Hmm, sorry about that guys. But since you guys are here, could you may be introduce the teams to the audience, before you go save your town?

Burd: Have some heart guys, how can we?

Referee: ...

McKrow: May be we could do a quick one? eh Burd?

Burd: Hmm, fine I guess.

McKrow: Let me start it then, you feel a little down for this. So Lets see who we have here today... Oh Lord! it is the Legendary Raiders... 0_0

vs A returning veteran? and a Steel Lover? Not sure if I would like to be in their place though.

Burd: {clears his throat} Hmm... Nimbus, Maya and Murena have cleaned up a lot of teams between them. But Luke, Mystic, Masuko and Cyclost seem pretty prepared to face any challenge imo.

McKrow: Its one thing facing a challenge and completely another of being part of a devastation.

Burd: You are theoretically right, but anything can happen in a battle between spirited pokemon trainers.

McKrow: So you think 15262 Ricks stand a chance?

Burd: It is anyone's battle right now, and if they battle it out till the end, then they have a good chance, yes.

McKrow: Don't take him too seriously folks, he has gone bonkers after his bird's nest was damaged in the thunderstorm. Anyways, we need to scram from here right now. But we may be back some other time. Probably, just to introduce the eager minds who like to battle it out.

Cyclohm (Dust) F
Nature: Modest (Adds 1 to Special Attack; Subtracts 1 from Attack)

Type: Electric/Dragon

Abilities:
Shield Dust:
(Passive) This Pokemon has dust covering the outside of its body that reduces the Effect Chance of incoming attacks to 0%. This prevents such things as Burns from Flamethrower from occuring.
Static: (Passive) This Pokemon's body is surrounded by an electric field that has a 30% chance of paralyzing opponents that use contact moves on this Pokemon.
Overcoat (DW): (Passive) This Pokemon has a sturdy exterior that rebuffs the elements, making it immune to damage inflicted by bad weather. If the Pokemon is already immune to at least one (1) kind of weather by typing or a different ability, Overcoat reduces the Base Attack Power of all oncoming attacks by one (1). The Pokemon is also immune to "Powder" moves. (Full List: Poison Powder, Powder, Rage Powder, Sleep Powder, Spore, Stun Spore.)

Maxim went out into the stadium once again. He was definitely nervous, but by his side this time was none other than his raiding partner, dogfish44. With a boost of confidence, he said "It's time for the show to begin! Serenity, get out there!"

Kitsunoh @ Rare Candy

I won't order yet as rickheg's choice of pokemon would affect my orders, so I'll wait for that.

Sending out Cyclohm @ Expert Belt.

Thunderbolt (Archeops) > Shock Wave (Archeops) > Thunderbolt (Archeops)
IF Archeops is in the evasive stage of a damaging/evasive move, redirect to Togekiss
IF Archeops uses a damaging/evasive move, redirect to Togekiss
IF Archeops uses Roost, use Hydro Pump and push back

Imprison(Earthquake, Bulldoze, Endure) - Meteor Mash (Archeops) - Iron Head (Archeops)
If Archeops is under the effects of a successful p/e move OR in the evasive stage of a damaging evasive move a2 or a3, redirect to Togekiss.
If either foe has Double Team clones when Kitsunoh would move a2 or a3, use Rock Slide and push back.

Round 1: Tactical plays, Double Targeting, and Para:

Mulan left his Kitsunoh open for Abuse and it was rightly exploited by Team Shockingly Normal, an unfortunate para has created a small problem in their plan, while Serenity couldn't convert her hax for her team.

Team Shockingly Normal are clearly going after the masked beast, where as 15,262 Ricks are going after Dogfish's Rawk. Who will succeed in their endeavor to knock out their nemesis? Lets wait patiently as 15,262 Ricks think of someway to get out of this scenario.

Cyclohm should sit at 80 Speed, given Shield Dust beats Bulldoze's Speed Drop.

And of course it's a para. Why wouldn't it be. Did my gym spreading para through 100% Para Moves annoy some karmic god recently?

/rant

I remembered Shield Dust's effect on Speed Reducing moves in another battle on Cyclohm for Icy Wind 0.0
Fixed.

Yeah Dogfish, Para chances are coming back to haunt you. Lol

... just checked, but Frisk is only against increases in BAP from items. Scope Lens falls well outside that purview. Hence, Togekiss is owed 1 Crit.

Sorry Dogfish44, I have the below reasons.

1) Logical reasoning: If a pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases or decreases in damage, then I think that pokemon would also be able to avoid any critical hit chance boosts from a held item that it is aware of.

2) Critical reasoning: If a Pokemon has intimate knowledge of the opponent's held item and ignores any item-based increases or decreases in damage or status from the opponent's item. As we know the occurrence of a critical hit increases the resulting damage of the attack, and since an opponents held item is increasing the likelihood of such an event occurring. By extension, that item's effect would be negated.

As per the reasoning I had two solutions:

1) To allow critical hits to happen always, but do not add the critical hit modifier which increases the damage.
or
2) To allow critical hits to happen normally w/o the item's boosts.

I chose the second option, as I felt that it is more feasible for both types of reasoning. I am open to discussing the same with you over IRC, but my reffing for this battle would be the same, unless an authority Veto's it and I am cool with that.
Guess what? Veto'd :P and Fixed.

Togekiss: Shadow Ball~Fire Blast~Shadow Ball (All at Kitsunoh)
If Shadow Sneak + Phantom Force combo, then use Safeguard that action and push back.
If Fake Out on you, then push actions back
If Kitsunoh is under the effects of a successful P/E move, then use Dazzling Gleam and push actions back
If Kitsunoh is knocked out, then replace remaining actions with alternating Dazzling Gleam~Fairy Wind (second move is just filler, as Torment is a thing)

Can people please make a habit of using working tags? That didn't ping me.

Quick Attack + Endeavour (Cyclohm) ~ Cooldown (Earth Power [Cyclohm]) ~ Outrage
IF Kitsuoh uses Shadow Sneak + Phantom Force A1 AND Cyclohm uses Protect (Kitsunoh) A2 THEN Tailwind A1 AND Push Back
[ONCE] IF Cyclohm uses a Protective/Evasive action THEN Roost AND Push Back
IF fully Paralysed THEN push back

Yes I did. Sorry about that.

Thunderbolt (Archeops) > Thunder (Archeops) > Thunderbolt (Archeops)
IF your target is KO'ed when you would act, redirect to Togekiss

Round 2: Double KO and Damage Race :

Rawk the Archeops acts one last time and does a massive amount of damage to the electric Dragon, which could probably be the difference between these two teams right now. With Dust the Cyclohm almost close struggling to stay up on her legs and Serenity the Flying Fairy having sustained damage. Who will these trainers send in next?

With Dust considerably weakened, I think we could see Nimbus enter the battle field from Team Shockingly Normal's side... and that could only mean one possibility for 15,262 Ricks, Luke the Mega Lucario. Lets see how things turn out though... Dogfish may go for his Murena, but seems unlikely.

If your target is under the effects of Light Screen, use Brick Break (Elektross).
If Togekiss uses Counter, use Flash Cannon (Togekiss).
If Togekiss is KOed or is under the effects of a successful p/e move, use Hi Jump Kick (Elektross) the first and third times and Drain Punch (Elektross) the second.

Sorry guys, there is a Minor Correction to the proceedings...

Frosty has pointed it out to me, with regards to another battle that the order of send out needs to be reversed.
Handbook said:
If both players need to replace a fainted Pokemon, then whichever player is ordering second in that round replaces their fallen Pokemon first, then the player due to order first replaces theirs and proceeds to order. Of course, this is assuming that there is a Pokemon available to replace the one that has been knocked out. If there isn't, then the battle simply continues as normal unless the KO has resulted in someone being out of usable Pokemon.
Dogfish44 has to send out before Mulan15262 sends out. If this changes your sent out pokemon and by extension your orders, then you guys can go ahead. This thread will be cleared, in case a change is in order.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Amazingly, I would always have lead with Eelektross regardless of Mulan's choice. So mine doesn't change in the slightest.
