No. The 5th generation metagame is changing in hundreds of ways, and we cannot anticipate whether Lightningrod will make Voodoom too powerful or not. Furthermore, we cannot even guarantee that we'll have Voodoom in the 5th gen. There are technical and policy issues in CAP on how to handle the 5th gen that we must first address.

Hmph, I was hoping to craft an idea for a Shedinja forme.

My prototype name for it is "E-102 Shedinja". The concept is to modify Shedinja's base stats to match the base total of Ninjask, as they are both alike. Not only this, but as this is a Shedinja forme, like a Rotom forme, it will need a different movepool.

What is the first step to allowing the idea to being detailed for Topic Leading?

Quoting from the CAP Forum rules:

Personal pokemon creations are not to be posted here. As much as you might think we want to see that pokemon you created back in the eighth grade, we really don't. Keep it to yourself.

We don't do formes or evolutions.

I'm new here. And I plan on participating in CAP 12 when it happens. ^^

I didn't see this question: Are you composing your own music for the metagame? If not, I know someone who knows how to play like 10 instruments.
And what about the cries for the Pokémon? Are you going to make those?

No. Neither Shoddy nor Pokelab has sound.

No, I don't think so.

Just open another tab, go to youtube, and find a nice Pokemon remix to play in the background.

I don't know if this has been asked before, and if it's just getting in the way, please delete this :P

Have you ever thought about giving actual pokemon different moves? Like, f.ex, Flareon with Flare Blitz or Salamence with Surf...just asking =D What's your policy on that?

As said in the rules and mission statement, no, CAP is not a project in which any existing/official Pokemon are altered in any way. If deemed necessary then a new move will be created for the current CAP in progress.

When does CAP 12 start, and where can I yell at kid's about my killer concept proposal and try to sharpen it up for round one when it happens?

I may sound like a idiot but how would you make a thread about a CAP pokemon

do you have to get permission or can anyone do it since it sounds good and I think I can make some pokemon

Sorry, I am new to CAP since I usually post in uncharted teritory and the RMT's so this is my first time in this topic

From the rules:

  • Personal pokemon creations are not to be posted here. As much as you might think we want to see that pokemon you created back in the eighth grade, we really don't. Keep it to yourself.
  • Do not make discussion threads for new pokemon. New pokemon are created in a step-by-step process, led by a Topic Leader. Feel free to express on-topic opinions in whichever polls are currently open. But, we do not openly discuss random ideas for new pokemon.
CAP isn't what you think it is. Your best bet is a social group, since what you're looking for doesn't belong on any particular forum.

I've been lurking around smogon since late July and came to CAP first. I am very eager to participate in the Gen V CAPs. So I guess I'm trying to say, do have any idea how long it will be until CAP starts back up again?
P.S. First post on Smogon ever! Woo!

Do not ask "When is <X> going to start?", "When is <X> going to happen?" or any other questions related to future project occurences. The CAP project does not follow any set timelines, so don't ask questions about it. If you are asking about the overall future project direction, the answer is in the stickies, or it isn't a simple question. Either way, don't ask that stuff here.

how do you get your OU suspect test voter badge if you qualify for it which means you have 1400 points or more on the PO server generation 5 ou.

Okay, with the advent of Pokemon Online being the current preferred source of battles and, in turn, the possibility of multibattles on simulator, is it at all possible that CAP would start a project for a pokemon aimed at a multibattle environment (i.e. give it an ability that is only practical in a multibattle)? I ask because the guide says it creates pokemon for the OU metagame and I'm not sure if this was simply a hard set rule or the byproduct of only being able to play on a single-battle simulator in 4th Gen.

So, could (not saying will) CAP create a pokemon for multibattles along the way? If so, would it be a specific focus or would it be the byproduct--intentional or no--of a regular CAP project? Would it simply depend on the popularity of non-singles metagames?
