Question regarding the trick to luring out Pokemon you need to chase.
When I have it to where I am, can I save the game & then battle until I find a good nature? To make it clearer, here's an example...
Jubilife to R202. Cresselia is at R202, which is where I am. I save the game. I encounter her, capture, then check her nature. If I don't like it, I capture her & check again until it has a nature I like.

No, they're set when you first see them, before they fly away. Besides, if you reset, they'll move anyway.

You'd have to save before letting them loose.

Breeding guide, it will answer pretty much all your questions about breeding.

From what I know, only three IVs are actually passed down from parents, the others are just random luck. You can't control which IVs are passed down either.

water gorund ice hits everything neutral including bronzong, and gets moltres, mammo for se, so it wins over grass ground ice imo, alotuhgh grass water ground hits bulky waters

grass water ground is lame, mence walls it x)

Quite awhile ago i remember reading something about a form of gyarados called discordos but i never took any note of the evs or anything so if anyone knows properly what a discordos is can they please tell me?

EDIT: i think this may be discordos

Gyarados (‰) @ Life Orb
Ability: Intimidate
EVs: 4 HP/252 Atk/248 Spd
Adamant nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Aqua Tail
- Stone Edge

why would you use aqua tail ._.

for empoleon i would go ice beam to kill dragons, surf for stab and grass knot for gyara and other waters.

I'm working on a doubles team for battle tower and I know that they usually gun it for whichever pokemon is lower level so you can effectively taunt/follow me with a pokemon who knows protect and is low enough level for them to think it's a OHKO.

What I am wondering is if two pokemon such as Mismagius and Wobuffet are in play which practically share the same weaknesses/resistances, can you make them attack the wobuffet by having it be a level or two lower than mismagius?
How does the AI prioritize targets in doubles?

Which AR codes are considered "appropriate" for breeding?

Right now, I use: Fast Egg Hatch, IV Check, and Fast Breeding. Are there any others, such as an automatic EV'ing code or something that I should be aware of as being considered taboo?

All of those I believe most breeders use on Smogon. Though I'm not sure about fast breeding/egg hatch.

People perfer pokemon to be legitmentally EV'd trained, so no Auto-EV code.

Yeah, its a stupid question, that's why I'm posting here! Phione is listed as UU on the Strategy Dex, however there is no comentary, and I was wondering if it is labeled in the correct tier. Also, do people even use it?!?!

Phione has been made UU, but its analysis hasn't been finalized, yet. (Check the Analysis Workshop section of Contributions & Corrections.)

i did an automatic firmware update on my AR and now i cant put anycodes in because it says there is not enough space. Wth is going on?

What are the chances of the opponent moving in this situation:
Togekiss with Serene Grace @ Kings Rock attacking a paralyzed foe with Air Slash

The things I don't know are the numbers for Kings Rock and paralysis; I know Air Slash is boosted to 60% chance of flinch with Serene Grace, so they have a 40% chance of moving.

Would I set it up like:
(40/100) * [100 - (Chance of Full Paralysis)/100] * [100 - (Chance of Kings Rock Flinch)/100]

The first value is the chance of moving against Air Slash, second is chance of against full paralysis, and the third is chance of moving against Kings Rock. Am I doing something wrong in my calcs?

Rare candies on Lvl 5

If i save and then use rare candies on a lvl 5 pokemon to check its Ivs and found out that its Hp Iv is 31 and then switch off the game to retain my rare candies, will the Hp Iv of the pokemon still be 31?

First off, King's Rock has a 10% chance of flinching... when a move without a secondary effect is used. Tackle would work with it, for example; Air Slash would not.

Secondly, paralysis has a 25% chance of taking effect each turn.

Considering that there is a 75% chance of escaping paralysis and a 40% chance of escaping flinching from Serene Grace Air Slash, the defending Pokemon will have a 75% * 40% = 30% chance of moving.

It will. The IVs are set as soon as you take the egg from the day care man and the IVs of that particular egg will not change after that under any circumstances.

Obligitory reference to breeding guide:

Just go through the codes in your action replay manager and manually delete the ones that you don't want? I think that might work.

My own question:

Smeargle @ Choice Scarf

Uses Transform. Is Smeargle now able to use one of the Pokemon's moves that it transformed into?

And when Smeargle is withdrawn, does it change back to Smeargle or stay as the other Pokemon for the battle?

Lead Pokemon

Any suggestions for a lead pokemon that can take down other pokemon in two hits most of the time,is faster than others most of the time, and can survive a hit without focus sash most of the time?
