252/252 Bold Blastoise will be 3HKO'd in the above situation, as well, but its Ice Beam is only a guaranteed 2HKO if Scyther has Life Orb and attacks once.

Alternatively, though there is no way it can switch in on a SD Aerial Ace, Modest 252 Specs Blastoise OHKOs the same Scyther with Ice Beam.

Looks like Blastoise could have some problems countering Scyther, it seems.

As for other counters, Gastrodon does come to mind as a possibility with Counter, but I'd have to run the numbers on that, as well, and I'm a little short on time at the moment.
 
I just got Emerald and am stoked on finally getting some good breeding oppurtunities. :)

So a few questions before I begin my quest:

-Is it possible to SR for a good Lati in this?

-I read up minorly on Rayquaza and the other Ubers and it seems that you have to nab them at certain times only. Do you HAVE to catch Rayquaza before the E4?

-When exactly are Groudon and Kyogre able to be caught and what is their time window before they disappear?

-When exactly are Groudon and Kyogre able to be caught and what is their time window before they disappear? After the E4 you can catch them, the time table before they disapear is something like 5 thousand steps iirc.

If "Hax Item Clause" is in affect these items can't be used:

Bright Powder
Quick Claw
Focus Band
Event Berries (Can't remember names)

Thats all that I can remember atm.

Actually it can be done, because if you fly to the location, save, and SR. That should be more than 5. Unless you walk for a long time for IV checking via Day Care.

Also, I plan on cloning my masterballs to make catching them easier. What's the cloning trick in Emerald?

1. Equip the Pokemon with the item you want to clone;
2. Put that Pokemon in a box, doesn't matter which one;
3. Save;
4. Withdraw the Pokemon from the box;
5. Talk to the lady on the far right and agree to do the challenge;
6. Say Yes to the need to save the game;
Now, you have to wait a second before it gives the saving prompt.
7. Do NOT Save, instead, reset (soft and hard both work) the game;
8. When you turn on the game, you'll have the Pokemon in your team and in the box (with the item).


Go to the Battle Tower to do this.
 
With regards to Brine, does the damage bonus occur at 50% damage exactly or 50%-1? (ex: Bibarel Super Fangs a Pokemon with 404 HP, it is now at 202. If it could learn Brine and used it next round, is it 65 power or 130?)

from what I recall, it works for normal pokemon, but not legendaries.
