It means both i believe. I think a higher Hp is prefered because it means that the user can take more damage and thus send it right back at the attacker.
I also wonder if it accounts for "potential damage" to an extent.

This might be more obvious in Focus Sash holders that take 300% damage but remain alert, but I've played around with a Rindo Berry Gastrodon for a while. The Rindo Berry reduced the Grass damage it took, but it hit back so hard at points that I wonder how the math worked exactly.

Was it "supposed" to take more damage, didn't, and sent the "supposed" damage back or was that a case of its huge HP coming into play? :?

I suppose I could test this myself after seeing how the research thread figures stuff out, but it sure interests me for some reason. xD

Just a quick question about how everstone breeding works.

If I have a Female, Bold Eevee holding an everstone and I breed it with a Bold Ditto holding an everstone, does that increase the % of the babies being bold to 75%?

Also, if you were wondering, only Ditto holding the Everstone will affect it. If Eevee is the only one holding the Everstone, it will be unaffected.

Where is the lady that awards Effort Ribbons if you have maxed your EVs?

ok for the standard milotic moveset, what is usually replaced when you want to use hp electric in the moveset? surf or ice beam? stab or coverage? :O

Does Synchronise work in XD? I expect not.
You expect right.

thank you. does anyone know where i can find a heart scale?
In addition to the underground, yo can fish for Luvdiscs and steal Heart Scales from them. It's faster for me. I use a fainted Butterfree for Compoundeyes and a Illumise I caught to Covet the Scales. It also doesn't eat up as much power on your DS, because in the underground, it's constantly looking for wireless signals from other underground players.

Other places not mentioned...

There are two hidden on the overworld if you haven't found them yet. One is hidden on Route 214. There's a small, somewhat out of the way patch of grass with a hole in it. It looks something like this:

Code:
####
#"""
#"#"
#O#"
#"#"
#"""
####

Key:
# = solid wall
" = grass
O = hidden Heart Scale

The other Heart Scale is located on South Route 212, hidden in the upper-left corner of the huge mucky swamp area. (I think. I'm going off memory so I can't refer to my notes.)

Another option is Pokemon Emerald; it has about a dozen in it.

I think I already know the answer, but a friend wants to know if it is possible to get Slaking to learn Skillswap in Pokemon Colluseum. Is that possible or no?

When using a Power Item when EV training, does the item get factored in first, or Pokerus?

For a Gyarados, It's either:
2 EVs + 4 Power Bracer x 2 Pokerus= 12
or
2 EVs x 2 Pokerus + 4 Power Bracer= 8

Which is it?

Im training my lvl 5 magikarp in atk
it has Pokerus
It went up two lvls against a Bibarel

so my question is, do the 4 Atk EVs add up if i level consecutively?
For Example:
Magikarp goes from lvl 5 to 7
do i get 8 Atk Evs?

They don't add up. You get as many as you would even if you didn't level up.
