Yes, that how it works. It normally has 40 BP but if the opponent switches when you use Pursuit then it will have 80 BP and hit the pokemon before it switches out. Technician boosts its power to 60 but only if it is used when the opponent isn't switching otherwise it is the normal 80 BP.

I have a question regarding the legitimacy of bred pokemon...

You hear everywhere that hacked parents = hacked babies. (Which makes sense) However, is this actually detectable in the offspring during hack checks?

The reason is, I have gotten some pokemon off the GTS, and my pokes have interbred and and interbred too many times to remember. If one of those pokemon happened to be hacked and I've used it as a parent before, then my whole hoard of bred pokemon could be tainted. :-/
No, it is not detectable. You can't even tell the IVs of the parents, let alone whether or not they are legitimate.

If a pokemon mirror moves the opponents move, but the opponents move misses.. would the move that was mirrored miss aswell :B?
As far as I recall the last move that actually worked by the opponent would work.
example
turn 1
opponent uses quick attack
you use bullet punch

turn 2
opponent uses hyponis but misses
you use mirror move using quick attack instead of hyponis

I tried using search, but forum searching never works as well as one would like...but as for my question, how does the mechanics of aftermath work? I have a driftblim with aftermath and 503 health so the ability says the attacking pokemon should take 125 damage for popping my balloon. Is it a direct physical attack or any attack that triggers the ability? and are there attacks which do not trigger this effect?

I was in a battle where a steelix used stone edge to kill my driftblim and neither of us remember the steelix taking any damage. this steelix was not ev trained and i had it down to about 3/4 to 2/3 of its life from previous attacks before it popped me, 125 damage would make a pretty large dent into an untrained steelix (290-350ish health).

thanks :)

Aftermath takes off 1/4th of your opponent's life no matter how much hp your drifblim has (so a pokemon at 100% who kills a drifblim will go down to 75%).

If I put two Dittos in the day care center, will I be able to acquire Ditto eggs? Are there any special qualities applied to Ditto eggs if they do exist, or are all breeding methods for Dittos equivalent to every other Pokemon?

Okay, I was wondering for a while.

If, say, Absol Swords Dances a couple times, then he got a crit on a move, will the crit still include the Attack boosts from Swords Dance? Also, will it include the lowered or raised Defence/Special Defence (including by Reflect and Light Screen) of the opponent? In R/B/Y, a crit ignored every stat boost, so I'm not sure.

In D/P, assuming I'm remembering correctly, a critical hit ignores stat changes that are detrimental to the attacker.

Basically, that means that stat changes to Attack will be ignored if (and only if) the stat boosts are negative, and the stat changes to the other pokemon's Defense will be ignored if (and only if) the stat boosts are positive.

Bulbapedia would seem to agree.

I have a couple of questions I would like answered please. :)

1. Is it possible to change the EV's on an EV trained Poke that has the effort ribbon? If so, how?

2. If there a species clause in roulette battles?

3. What would be a good EV spread for a Mild Heatran with:
Iron Head
Explode
Flamethrower/fireblast
Earth Power?

4. Does anyone know how to change the skin I'm using here?

1. Yes, just use the EV reducing berries in the desired stats or all of them and retrain as you would normally do. It won't lose the effort ribbon but I don't think it can get a new one either. If the pokemon is at level 100 I think you can reduce the EVs but you can't EV train it because it doesn't gain experience.
2. No, you must use whatever pokemon the numbers give you, species or item clause doesn't apply here. It just isn't very nice if you fill an entire box of clones of the same garchomp and tell the opponent to pick a number from 1 to 30.
3. No idea.
4. No idea.

1-Yes, use the EV reducing berries to set the EV's to 0, each berry reduces by 10 BUT if the EV is over 100 the first berry will reduce to 100 os for a 252 EV spread you use 11 berries. Then you re-ev, problem is you cant get it checked again by the lady.

2-Species Clause is void on roulettes

3 and 4- not sure.

3. What would be a good EV spread for a Mild Heatran with:
Iron Head
Explode
Flamethrower/fireblast
Earth Power?

You should replace Iron Head with Hidden Power Ice, Dragon Pulse or Will-O-Wisp. Max out SpAtk. 128 EV's in Spe will outrun Adamant Tyranitar, 216 will beat Jolly Tyranitar and Adamant Breloom, 236 with a Choice Scarf will beat Jolly Dugtrio. Put the remaining EV's in Either Atk or HP.

If someone can tell me where a good damage calculator is I'll see how many Atk EV's you need to OHKO Blissey with Explosion.
