Can anyone suggest some Pokemon to beat the Elite Four in Emerald with? (For the first time) My party is way under-leveled, and it's getting really annoying. It's Swellow, Sharpedo, Solrock (lol), and Breloom.

I just can't beat it, and I really don't want to spend hours grinding.

The types are, Dark, Ghost, Ice, Dragon and Steel, right?

For Sidney, I personally use Heracross. None of his pokemon are particularly fast, so with any fast fighting-type you should be able to overcome him easily. It also comes with the advantage of being able to take on Glacia and Stephen's forces.

For Phoebe, Dark-types would be best, but all the Darks in RSE are physically based. I personally use Crunch/Flamethrower/EQ/Sludge Bomb Seviper, as well as Crunch Glalie for backup. They both come in useful for later on.

For Glacia, I would suggest a decent electric-type, preferably one with Boltbeam. I use Lanturn, and it does a decent job of soaking up hits from the Ice-types, as well as dealing back good damage. The Glalies are dealt with by aforementioned fighting-type.

For Drake, Ice is the great theme. The aforementioned Glalie does well here, aided and abetted by Lanturn, who can also use Ice Beam.

For Stephen, Lanturn, Seviper and Heracross combined take out most of his team (Skarm, Aggron, Cradily, Claydol), and you've still got two spaces left to deal with the rest.

And one more thing. When I use that power item with pokerus when fighting say a ghastly would it give me:
1+4(brace)X2(rus)=10 special attack evs

or

1X2(rus)+4(brace)=6 special attack evs?

power lens + pokerus + gastly=10

power lens + pokerus + haunter=12

power lens + pokerus + gengar= 14

EDIT: macho brace doubles EVs, so with pokerus you would get:

macho brace + pokerus + gastly=4

macho brace + pokerus + haunter=8

macho brace + pokerus + gengar=12

Why do alot of people use Infernape and Heatran?

Scarf Heatran manages to check a wide range of threats thanks to his resistances. Other variants of Heatran can also counter the most common SR leads, or spread status with Will-O-Wisp/Toxic.

Infernape has wonderful mixed sweeping abilities allowing him to bypass wall combinations. This helps to defeat stall teams.

Infernape is a good mixed sweeper and does well with its speed. It just can't take a hit.

Heatran is for combating those fire moves that everyone hates and can help deal with Scizor and Salamence (if it doesn't DD up first) with Choice Scarf.

Edit: Dam, missed it agian.

On the same team.

On the same team.

Because they counter different Pokemon and do different things. Smart people can abuse their Earthquake weaknesses by using a Flying type or something with Levitate. Switch into the impending Earthquake and suffer no damage aside from SR.

Infernape is also weak defensively and can't take a hit preventing him from revenge killing anything faster. Heatran has part Steel typing which allows him to switch into tons of things including Dragon attacks.

what is this box trick you speak of?
EV training a Pokemon, then placing it in a PC Box, closing it, and opening it up again and withdrawing it, to update the stats to factor in the EVs without having to level it up. Doesn't work on Level 100 Pokemon in DPPt, but works with everything else.

Thanks so much! :D I guess I'll just have to take some time to train some Pokemon, but that's okay.

I think Breloom can take out Sidney if I level it up some more, so that's not a problem. Sky Uppercut + Mach Punch can take out everything.

Sharpedo takes out Phoebe very easily with Crunch, no problem there. Just needs a bit more of a level up to be able to OHKO everything. (Mainly that level 51 Duskull)

I have a little trouble with Glacia, since Breloom is pretty slow and ice kills it, that kind of sucks. Will get BoltBeam Lanturn to deal with that, and Breloom should OHKO with Mach Punch for Glalies. If not, I'm pretty sure he's faster, so Sky Uppercut works.

For Drake, Sharpedo with Blizzard kills his whole team. I just have to save beforehand and reset if it misses. I'll also get a Starmie which will help out a lot.

And, the champion is water not steel. So, what would you suggest there? (Or anybody else)

Got any good Hidden Powers? Or use the Bolt half of Lanturn.

Sadly, I can't really check Hidden Powers this early in the game, as all my Pokemon have EVs that are just scattered from ingame battles. The only one I can check is Emerald RNG abuse stuff.

I do have HP Electric 60 on a Timid spread, but that's for Starmie, which is useless.

Do you think this could beat the E4?

Breloom
Sharpedo
Starmie
Lanturn
