What route is best for chaining Budews? Apparently Eterna Forest has the highest appearance rate but I can't find a decent-sized patch of grass, same with Route 204 (South), where I am currently chaining, or rather trying to chain.

Actually there is one area in Eterna Forest that is pretty large. I would go with that (if you can find it). Otherwise, I wouldn't know honestly.

the patch in front of the mansion is a goodly size.

Veedrock, Second Frame means after a little movement of the animated sprite.
Check in second frame these ones: Yanmega, Electivire, Rhyperior, Weavile, Absol, Lucario, Garchomp.

They dont look as the Platinum sprite :/

Veedrock - Not all of them are the same. Azelf/Uxie/Mesprit for example.
Stuck on last page.

Actually, the Raichu isnt the Platinum sprite, check the position of the body. As i said, its after a little movement of the animation, thats why some look as Platinum sprites.

I got a Relaxed Chansey i am planning on EV training, I want to know what EV spread should i use and if you can provide some calculations (I suck at making calculations of damage of X pkmn vs Y pkmn); i am looking for an EV spread that can resist banded Garchomp Outrages and specs Meteors from Mence and can counterattack and OHKO, at least Salamence.

This is my chansey and his IV
Hp (24), At (X), Def (30), Sp. At (31), Sp. Def (14), Spd (5)

the EV spread i was thinking on using is 176 hp to get 688 blissey with max hp recovery, 252 defense, 108 Sp. At and 4 Sp. Def

his stats as a blissey should be like this
Hp 688, Def 129, Sp. At 213, Sp def 290

Also I am using serene grace with :Softboiled, Flamethrower, Charge Beam and Ice Beam as a moveset, any suggestion is appreciated, this chansey is intended towards the Battle tower, thanks for your suggestions, If you have an in depth suggestion i would appreciate a lot if you could PM it to me, some answers for this question might get lost in the answers, if not, it's ok, i will try to look for the answers you post

Don't forget, Battle Tower is level 50, so my calculations are done that way.

Anyways, a band max adamant Garchomp to a 252/252 Relaxed Blissey (with your IVs): 84.6%-99.7%

Talk about ouch.

And with no EVs to spare, you can't OHKO 'Chomp back (even a min/min one) unfortunately. If it has 0 HP/SpD IVs though, there is a slight chance.

You can survive and OHKO Salamence rather easily (if 'Mence is min/min defense-wise anyways).

Sorry if this wasn't the result you wanted, but 252 HP/252 Def looks like the way to go =/

Not pokemon but any one know any Super Smash Bro's Brawl places so i can have some matches online. Every time i go on everyone, it says searching but nothing ever comes up. Some one help!

Please go to "Congregation of the Masses" in "Smogon Community" if what you are asking for is not about competitive pokemon discussion. Thank you.

Or maybe Internet Renaissance? I do not think it belongs to Mt. Stark and I have no idea where you should go to.

Can someone teach me how to "Hidden Power"-breed magnemite?

Please it is genderless and so hard...

Well, you have Magnemite and Ditto in the Day Care, Magnemite holding an Everstone and Ditto with the nature you want (so you get good natures).

Get an egg, hatch it, check its HP, nature and IVs, get an egg, hatch it, check its HP, nature and IVs, etc. When you finally find a good one, with the HP move you want, the correct nature (and ability since Magnemite has 2), and good IVs then you can use it.

It's mostly down to luck, sorry

if you want to pass the nature, Ditto always holds the Everstone.

Um, not really. It's not all luck. I'd suggest reading Peterko's Hidden Power Breeding guide, since that's how I figured to breed my HP ground and HP ice magnemites. It's right here: http://www.smogon.com/forums/showthread.php?t=20649

Basically if you want a high base power Hidden Power, the most important IVs are the last 3 stats (Special Attack, Special Defense, Speed). You would want to have Dittos that have 30 or 31 IV in those last 3 stats (30 or 31 depending on which Hidden Power you want), preferably in more than one of those last 3 stats. E.g. HP Ice with Base Power >= 65 requires x/x/x/31/31/31, so I'd use my x/x/x/31/31/x Ditto (since that's the closest one I got).

Nature is not really something I'd even worry about until the end. I'd just make sure I have a high enough chance of getting the right Hidden Power, and then use the save-in-front-of-old-man-before-receiving-egg method and soft reset to lock on to the right nature and ability for the egg. THEN the rest is luck.

EDIT: I suppose there might be more efficient methods? That's just how I did it for myself. I would like to know if there are easier ways too if there is.

thanks a lot, i tried to make some calculations but they were on lvl 100, and supposedly blissey had a chance to survive but could not kill Chomp, all due to the low IV it had, so i am trying to maximize the EV spread to allow to survive the most important attacks in the game in the special side and be able to take at least 1 or 2 hits from the strongest physical attackers in teh game but i am not sure of what it needs to survive, so if you guys could provide with an EV spread that could help my blissey and some damage calculations (or give me a page with a damage calculator or something) also if you could tell me the most great threats offensive pokemons have (like Outrage Banded Chomp and Specs Mence Meteor), i was thinking of not investing on Sp. Att. due to Charge beam and serene grace (100% of probability of rising Sp. Att 1 level) but i was not sure and i want more opinions like this one above, thanks a lot, also if you give me a spread i like and give me the reasons why, i will give you a chansey with 31 Sp. Att and Quiet that i also breed during the process

Policy Review is open to all badgeholders and select other people (winners of major tourneys etc.) who have clever things to say!

Or MythTrainerInfinity.

What's the best counter against Scrappy Miltank with Body Slam / Brick Break / Rest / Sleep Talk?

Pretty much any physical tank will do. Staraptor does well with Intimidate (watch for para), and his general lack of power means that Steelix, Weezing, or Spiritomb isn't phazed at all.

Ratings Help

I'm having trouble understanding ratings in general. I've been wondering what exactly I need to meet voting requirements (it's too confusing), and what scores the leaderboards go by. Below is a screenshot of my ratings, so can someone please help explain them to me?

ratings.jpg

I hate you Kaonohi T-T

Anyways, from my understanding, your suspect rating is the average of your rating high and low. Deviation is the difference of your rating high/low divided by 2. So...

Standard: 1610.5 / 41.5
Suspect: 1965 / 309

(Your suspect score is exactly why we have the deviation requirement :P)

For the leaderboard, I believe it uses the Conservative (but don't quote me on this)

Now back at you, how do you post your "Rating" window like you did?

Posting that window was harder than it looks. >_>

First, you have to take a screenshot (Prnt Scrn button and paste into Paint if you didn't know). Next, crop out the window itself and save it as something. Then you upload it to photobucket, get the IMG link and post it here.

To post one's rating window, make sure your rating window appears on the screen, and then hit the "print scr" button on your keyboard to copy the screen image. Paste it into Paint or something similar and edit the image so that it only shows your ratings window. Host the image onto photoshack or something and post the picture here!

EDIT: Gah, I'm too slow. :P
