To get in the resort area though, dont you have to have like ten ribbons or is that somewhere else? Also, is the magikarps hard to catch or can you just use a duck ball and get it at night because i dont wanna use a master ball or train a pokemon to a even higher level unless i have to.

No, you can go there as long as you have the National Dex. You're thinking of just the specific building Ribbon Syndicate. The Magikarp are so easy to catch you can just chuck Poke Balls without doing anything. -_-

thanks and what about fly though? doesn't that mess up the rng? or is there a way to get there without fly?

I need some help with HTML I put (Website)[IMG/] with my links but it never makes an Image just a link with the HTML, and how do you even use colured text?
Thx

Try clicking the yellow box with the mountain looking thing and putting your URL in the box that pops up. The button is on the row with things like B I U and stuff above this box that you type in.

Highlight the text you want to make color, then click on the A near the top next to the dropdown menu that says Sizes and choose your color.

What is chaining?

When you use the PokeRadar, patches of grass shake and you walk into it and you can meet a wild Pokemon. If you catch it or defeat it (NOT RUN), more patches will shake after the battle and you have a chance of finding the same Pokemon. Once you go up to 40 times of the same Pokemon, the chances of finding shinies maximize. If you find a Pokemon in the patch other than your "chain," the "chain" is broken.

See here.

I have a question: why do people put baton pass on a jolteon when there's it doesnt carry a stat boosting move?
http://www.smogon.com/dp/pokemon/jolteon
From the first set in the analysis:
Baton Pass may seem out of place on this set, but by "dry passing", Jolteon is capable of scouting many of its potential counters, allowing the trainer to switch in another Pokemon accordingly and predict properly the next time Jolteon is sent out.
.

There's also the SubPassing set:
The idea here is to employ one of the fastest Substitute/Baton Pass combinations in the game while "falling back on" a respectable 319 Special Attack stat.

Could Roar be a decent defence against oddball pokes in Doubles like FEAR pokes and Dark Void pokes and maybe even Trick Room pokes?

For example, as long as the slower pokemon on your team has it, could Roar be a decent counter for Low level Pokemon with Endeavor and a Focus Sash (or whichever)?

I'm thinking, attack if with the faster poke and then Roar it with the slower. That way when it comes out again you CAN KO it.

This is assuming Roar isn't random in Doubles and that neither have speed priority.

I don't think it would work as well as you hope because roar has negative priority

Roar has negative priority, so you're better off using priority moves (or Sandstorm/ Hail) to KO the FEAR user anyway. LOL

Edit: A whole two minutes late. Woooooowwww.

Thanks to both for noting the negative priority bit for me.

Well... I guess that marks Houndoom off my starter list... :(
