U-Turn is a good move for that last slot for Jumpluff.

Crobat is also not bad for setting up Sunny Day (and runs a similar set to Jumpluff), being faster and bulkier than Jumpluff, and also having a reliable recovery with Roost. Also, Crobat's not as expected since it's neither grass or fire type. The bad thing is that it does have Rock / Ice weakness which is shared with most Fire / Grass Types (but Roost does get rid of those two weaknesses).

EDIT: k, I'm slow, sorry.

Anybody know a site that covers the Japanese metagame? I would prefer English, seeing as how Babelfish butchers some translations. I would like the link so that I can get ideas for my team that are more unusual in Smogon's Metagame

Well, from the Sunny Day page:

Ninjask is easily the fastest, and it's random! But don't use it. The fastest reliable set up would probably be Crobat; it can set up the weather and U-turn to somebody who needs it. Other fast set up includes Azelf, Ambipom (with Fake Out), Jumpluff, and Latias.

For defensive, there are many options. These include Celebi, Zapdos, Blissey, Jirachi, Uxie, Skarmory, and Cresselia. Several of these also have U-Turn. The list goes on.

I suggest following the link above and finding specifically what you're looking for. A lot of Pokemon learn Sunny Day, so finding specific pokemon would be better than a general idea. Remember that you can click the stat header (like Spe) to list it in the order you need.

Thanks. I really don't get why people choose to use Jumpluff or Crobat actually... I've been trying them out, and of course when you send them in the opponent switches to a counter, more likely than not one that knows Ice Beam... a move most chlorphl users (ie. Tangrowth) hate. So you're essentially BPing them right to their doom...

I'm gonna play around with Jolteon...

ok so how exactly do i use the wifi battle room in the battletower?

Ask to challenge, select your Pokemon, and then it'll take you to the blue WiFi screen. Log on to the Nintendo WFC and then choose any room you want to download and play in. The rooms are basically just people who have sent in their score previously and were updated into the database. You don't really play live.

When you lose or finish a streak of 7, you have the option of sending your results over Nintendo WFC and then you'll be added into the room you challenged on the spot that you ended at.

When you win a streak of 7, you get upgraded to the next rank, which have considerably stronger trainers. The maximum rank is 10, and for each rank, if you lose too many times, you will get downgraded in rank.

Be prepared to face a lot of Garchomp, Gengar, and other super-overused pokes very, very often. Also expect Rank 1, room number 1 to have a lot of newby trainers.

To reach the leaderboard, is it the average of the lower and upper ratings of your thing? Also, does deviation not matter?

The leaderboard uses CRE, which is the top number. However, users with a deviation of over 100 will not be shown iirc.

Inner Focus is superior (though not by much), but could help in an (read: uncommon) situation where you are against Iron Head Jirachi. Neither ability is great, but Inner Focus is superior.

Overall...its a medicore set, you need to tell us what its trying to accomplish other than being just a gimmick or an (ineffective) suprise. If you want to break Skarmbliss SDLucario can do it and is a great Pokemon in general, or you can use MixApe, who has much better speed.
Just MixLuke, that's all...

Seconding this. Or if anyone wants to give a quick overview, that'd be great.

@Icalasari and Archer: There was a thread here about it, that's the best I can do.

Though you're definitely not alone in the curiosity.

Thanks. I really don't get why people choose to use Jumpluff or Crobat actually.

Jumpluff has chlorophill and crobat is a little sturdier than ninkask and has access to taunt.

@Age of Kings: we had this thread about foreign metagames, but I don't know if it's what you are looking for.

The stats are the same for all the appliances :
HP: 50

Defense: 107
Sp. Attack: 105
Sp. Defense: 107
Speed: 86

They can only be obtained in Platinum via a Secret Key, and they can not be used on wifi.

About the moves: here they are.

Does Rest induced sleep activate Guts? I've heard conflicting answers, so I was hoping for a definitive answer.

EXAMPLE:

when I breed a Magnemite with Magnet Pull in Emerald and I migrate it to D/P and let it evolve, there's no way it will change to Sturdy, right?

Yes, even self induced sleep activates guts.

It has never happened to me, but I've heard that it can change its ability upon evolving.
