wats the fastest way to play through diamond?
suggest good pokes to blitz the game

reason:
i only just found my diamond and emerald versions so im playing both through before i work on breeding etc.

Choose Chimchar, don't train anything else. You'll be at a ridiculously high level by the time you get to the elite 4, so it should be easy.

Adding to this, you'll get Dialga/Palkia later in the game, so Infernape + uber will rip through the elite 4.

To get the special box wallpaper in Platinum, I have to go to the guy who asks about TV and answer his questions. How do I know which answers will get me the special wallpaper?

Good luck fighting any and all Gyaradoses that you start hitting before Chimchar will be Infernape :(

One of the easiest ways to take out the Elite 4 is by having a ~53 Gyarados and a couple of hyper potions. With the exception of the pyschic guy, none of the starters can 3HKO Gyarados while you do 2 DDs and a potion. Then sweep at +6.

um i have a question about the R4DS. I went to vide game stor eowner and got it. I got Pokemon Platinum loaded on it he didnt' give me the usb drive and device for loading onto the R4 cart k? when I want a new game loaded on it I pay $4. So i satart plaing Pokemon Platinum. I find that to save properly I have to save twice If I save only once at any point in the game it reverts me to my previously save file. Thnat just sucks furthermore Ifind that sometime when I catch a pokemon and save the way described above that pokemon gets deleted. I even find that by some wierd turn of events I can clone. If I have a pokemon inmy party and I got to move Pokemon an switch the pokemon with one i my PC and save the pokemon I put in the box is deleted and i have 2 copies of the pokemon i took from the PC. that's horrible IMO.furthermore If i keep a pokemon anywher in my PC box and saveI find that the pokemon is next to the pokemon before it in the box. I'm at Distortion world about to fight cyrus by the way

Ok, so all my guys caught Pokerus. I know that it's a good thing, but what exactly is it supposed to do?

From what someone told me, it's supposed to increase EV gain, which is an obvious lie, as it hasn't done anything.

So my first question is what does it do, and here's my second one: how do you get rid of it? (just for future reference in case I don't need it anymore)

That someone told you the truth, pokerus doubles the EVs that you gain in-battle.

You get rid of it just with time (24 Hrs IIRC), though the EVs doubling effect remains even after the pokerus has gone.

what's the best set you can run on a timid milotic?

(that doesn't have HP electric)

Timid is not the best nature for a hp electric-less Milotic. I believe that you could use a life orb set with: hydro pump-ice beam-toxic/dragon pulse (really useful only for Kingdra)-recover.

Does it only work in Diamond and Pearl, because I tried it and it didn't work. Or do I have to wait for a bit?

Actually, I found that refreshing the site after it gave you your words then gave you a new set of words despite the trainer ID and game version being the same. I don't think it does work.

@Haunter: 72 hours, but keeping the pokemon in a box 'freezes' this clock.

Actually, you're both wrong. If I remember correctly, Pokérus has a "counter" that starts at 3 and goes down at midnight only for your team. So if it's 11:59 and you put it in a box until 12:01, the counter doesn't go down. Once the counter reaches 0, the virus is gone.

No, after midnight, other pokemon can't catch it from that pokemon. But the double evs remain.

~And? Thunderpunch deals with Starmie, but SpecsStar easily OHKOs Medicham, making even leaving Medicham in a risky choice. Rock Slide deals with Charizard and Moltres, while Fire Punch hits Scizor and Foretress; both of the latter options help against Froslass, which resists Ice/Fighting.

-> Is Lapras a valid pairing with Walrein (<3333) in Hail?
-> Are double-weather teams also valid?

Lapras and Walrein do not pair well due to sharing the exact same weaknesses. You are more likely to want to use other Pokemon that have complementary secondary types (mamoswine for the electric immune + rock neutral, frosslass for the fighting immune, etc).

Double weather is hard to pull of because most Pokemon are only good in one weather or the other. The one exception to this is Ubers play, where you will commonly see both sun and rain, so some sweepers like Palkia pack moves for both.

Remember, with a scarf you outrun Specs Starmie, so running a move to hit him is not a bad idea.
Psycho cut does a good deal to Charizard and Moltres already, and they are not very common (especially in OU) plus they take a ton from Stealth Rock reducing their viability and survivability.
Fire Punch hits Scizor and Forretress, but Scizor will OHKO with Bullet Punch and already takes a lot from Hi Jump kick on the switch-in, plus forretress probably won't die from Fire Punch (it can live a groudon fire punch in the sun).
Thunderpunch probably gives you the best overall coverage, I'd go with that.

That someone told you the truth, pokerus doubles the EVs that you gain in-battle.

Really? Well, it hasn't done that to me. Here's exactly how I got it and what it's done.

How I got it: Got a Magmortar through the GTS that had it.

What it's done: NOTHING! I've leveled up all my Pokemon at least once, and it's only given them normal stat gain, especially in the case of my Power Bracer Gallade, where the extra boost to Attack got nulled out.

Anyone know what's going on with this?

EVs only give noticable stat gain when you've got a lot of them. 4 EVs equate to one more point at level 100.

Also, EVs cap out at 510, so they won't do anything for you if you're training something that's already got the maximum amount.
