1. do base stat reducing berries only affect acquired EVs, or do they reduce

2. How do I learn the IVs of my pokemon? Whats the fastest way to get a pokemon with the IVs I want?

3. What is RNG?

4. Is asking about Action Replay Codes allowed here?

I got a question regarding Zap cannon. In the rain does the accuracy increase? Just as in the case of thunder. I read on something on wiki answers that said it did but I'm not really sure.

Could somebody please briefly explain the process that will yield me a Tentacruel harboring the moves Rapid Spin and Knock Off? I should know, but I can't seem to work it out in my head.

Rapid Spin is an Egg Move you obtain my breeding a feamale Tentacool with a male Shelder (who knows Rapid Spin)

Knock Off is a tutor move.

I also needed to know how to get a Tentacool that knows rapid spin, and this doesn't seem to be the answer I'm looking for. Kabutops, Armaldo, Cloyster, and Tentacruel can all learn Rapid Spin through breeding, but none of them learn it from leveling up. The only way I can see to learn Rapid Spin is by breeding Rapid Spin onto a Kabuto using a Blastoise that knows it, and then breeding the resulting male Kabuto with a female tentacool in order to get a Tentacool with Rapid Spin.

Is this really the only way? Because I have no ready access to a Squirtle.

You can try to find one on the GTS or using the Simple Requests thread on the Wi-Fi forum.

According to Bulbapedia, yes. That's the only way.

Hey all, I just got a DS-i as a gift and decided to get Platinum for it to rekindle my love for POGEYMANZ. I also had diamond before but haven't played it for a while.

I've been working on building a team, but obviously the hardest part is acquiring all the pokemon you want with high IV's and a good nature. Most people use correct-natured Ditto's @ Everstone to breed high IV pokemon. Problem is, Ditto is rare-ish in Platinum and Diamond and I still suck at getting long chains with the pokeradar. I haven't gotten longer than a chain of 9 so far (it's embarassing, I know). I heard that in Emerald, dittos are pretty easy to catch, and a lot of players just transferred their ditto-whore-farm from emerald to the new generation games to continue their various forms of prostitution.

My problem is that I don't have a farm of Ditto sex slaves to transfer.

So, my questions are;

1. Should I buy Emerald to catch dittos more easily?

2. Should I use pokeradar (and stop sucking at it) to catch Ditto?

3. How many should I expect to catch before I get a reliable collection of those blobby pink sluts?

4. How long does it usually take to build a decent team?

5. Am I doing it wrong?

I would trade for some Ditto's but I don't have much to offer. Just some legendaries with sucky IV's and an event Regigigas that everyone probably already has.

Thanks for help in advance. Happy Ditto whorin'.

1. Depends on your budget right now.

2. Ditto is one of the special Pokemon in the Pokemon Mansion, so it should be that hard to get.

3. I used just one. Maybe two because you can get much more by just breeding.

4. It depends really.

5. No?

I don't have an event Regigigas...

Does the sinnoh trio reappear if you run/beat it?
I've been hearing that this is true for other pokemon like Heatran, and Giratina.
Wanted to know if it applied to Azelf, Mespirit, and Uxie.

You can run from Mespirit I think. The other two I am not sure about. The Sinnoh Trio don't respawn as far as I know of.

Pretty confident that it does apply to them in Platinum. If you beat them, then beat the Elite Four, they should respawn.
