Okay, I'll remember this little thing.Yeah, you can soft reset before picking up the egg from the day-care. The IVs aren't set until you actually take the egg. (meaning you could easily retake the egg, hatch it, check IVs/nature, repeat if it's not good).
Which is correct because I've been soft reset for like 8 times now and I still keep getting this same natured Gible.I actually think that you can do this to keep the gender/nature of the pokemon, because I think that is actually determined when the egg is made (not sure of this though).
I personaity like that idea too mostly because it don't have to use up my pericous rare candy on a single baby.Personally though, I find just picking up multiple eggs MUCH faster, since that way, you can pick up 6 eggs at a time, and hatch them all in a row.
I can't really speak for D/P, but here's what's generally considered "Uber" in Advance:
Mewtwo, Mew, Lugia, Ho-oh, Rayquaza, Kyogre, Groudon, Wobbuffet, Wynaut, Lati@s, Deoxys (All Forms).
I'd imagine Palkia, Dialgia, and a few others I'm unfamiliar with from D/P are autoincludes, and there's lots of flame-filled fun regarding some which I won't go into. But that's the short, NO WAY JOSE version.
Magic Numbers?
In terms of HP, IIRC - if your HP is most beneficiary when it is divisable by 16, due to leftover bonus. Though I'm not 100% sure on this.
In terms of Speed,
329 is a good number to outspeed base 100's. (Example Zapdos)
334 is a good number to outspeed base 102's (Example Garchomp)
351 is a good number to outspeed base 110's (Example Gengar)
362 is a good number to outspeed base 115's (Example Starmie)
373 is a good number to outspeed base 120's (Example Dugtrio)
395 is a good number to outspeed base 130's (Example Aerodactyl)
Going any higher than that is rather rediculous, but that's just my opinion.
Do remember that Choice Scarf boosts speed by 1.5x also.
I know that a +1 boost is +50% to the stat, and a +2 boost is +100% to the stat. So if every +1 you add 50%, then if you use a stat down, it would go down by 50%, right?
Intimidate is a -1 boost, so would it be -50% to the attack? It just seems a big large for just a -1 boost.
Not true. First reduction would lower his attack to 66. Second would lower it to 50, though. Now lets say he has NOT done any dragon dances, and he's at 100 attack power. A salamence comes out and reduces his damage. It would lower his attack to 75. If he got DOUBLE intimidated, it would lower his attack to 50.
