Ok on a Sweeper Gyarados which Combination hits the most neutrally or super effective

Earthquake / Stone Edge / Waterfall

Earthquake / Ice Fang / Waterfall

Ice Fang / Stone Edge / Waterfall

EQ/SE/Fall: Hits everything for at least neutral, except Breloom.
EQ/IF/Fall: Hits everything for at least neutral, except Surskit.
SE/IF/Fall: Hit everything for at least neutral, except Empoleon and Abomasnow.

How many times/how often can you battle your rival once he appears in the Battle Zone? I beat the Tycoon (first time) again, and when I went into town, I noticed him and fought him. Can I battle him again? If so, how?

On the psypokes Pokedex Salamence can apparently learn Belly Drum as an egg move, but Serebii says otherwise (or at least it isn't there), has anyone tested this?
I got all excited when I read this (and checked it on Psypoke).

I just bred a male Charmander with Belly drum, with a female Bagon. I got a baby Bagon with Rage only. It is a mistake.

Why would you use a Belly Drum Salamence when you can just Dragon Dance instead?

What all Pokemon can learn Softboiled via the Leaf Green move tutor?

So far:
Chansey line
Togepi line
Clefairy Line

Er, I actually knew that one I forgot to post it though.

Are there any more?

I didn't think they would make a move tutor that can only teach a move to a few pokemon.

Hmm they all cover alot of stuff. Ok then which would be the best to use in OU on a Gyarados?

Are there set %'s for the duration of sleep and freeze? Just wanna know, because I've been badly screwed by both. In the last three battles of mine, everyone I put to sleep woke up after one turn of sleeping.

As for freezing, I had a frozen Jirachi out for ~6-8 turns (consecutive), and it was STILL frozen (by then, I just let it get KO'd -- the opponent for some reason was setting up, just wailing on him).

So I'd just like to know the % of waking up/thawing. Thanks.

Bump my above question.

Which Pokemon can learn Softboiled from the Leaf Green move tutor?

So far:
Chansey Line
Togepi Line
Clefairy Line

What determines your avatar (Ruin Maniac, Roughneck, etc.)? Is it only used on the GTS, and if not, where else might you see it?

My Trainer ID is 09978, and I received "Ace Trainer, Black Belt, Roughneck, and Ruin Maniac" when I typed it in on MetalKid's calculator.

You just answered your own question, your ID determines your avatar.
It's used in GTS and local wireless.

What traits are revealed to your opponents when the pokemon is first sent out?

-Pressure
-Download
-Drizzle
-Drought
-Sandstream
-Snow Warning

what else?

It came up with four different avatars on MetalKid, though. Which one is it?

anticipation
frisk
mold breaker

forecast (in weather, i suppose)
sandstream
speed boost (at the end of the turn)
trace

there may be more.

@adman2: you get to choose. where you choose is slipping my mind atm

How could I forget this?

"The wild Regigigas can't get it going due to its Slow Start!" :)

Lawl, you forgot to actually list intimidate.

In many threads, people rattle off statements such as "if you must stick with hasty increase def to XXX or else a brave YYY will two-turn it", or "rather than jolly increase speed to XXX and you'll still outspeed an adamant YYY" almost like they read them off the back of their hand.

Has anyone put together a quick reference document for borderline cases such as this, or is it all a matter of time and experience?
