Nope, it's random. The baby does not inherit abilities.

actually i was breeding shroomishs and the one in the daycare had effect spore and i noticed the chance of the baby getting poison heal was far less than the baby getting effect spore so I swapped the shroomish in the daycare for a shroomish with poison heal and i got more babies with poison heal than effect spore, that's just something i noticed, maybe it was a coincidence though

Since I don't know much about what you're doing, I can't really make too many suggestions. But the IVs are straight 31 except 30 in Special Attack and Speed, which is ironically the two things you are apparently trying to have high.

Oh and people, keep the Salamence discussion in it's own thread

I didn't really need any suggestions, I just needed the IVs. Thanks!

That is pretty ironic, Lulz :)

Twice now while chaining magnemite at Fuego Ironworks something odd has happened. At a little above 30, I would enter a wiggle patch and enter it and encounter a magnemite, but when I exited the battle, the chain count had reset.

Why is that happening?

does the gts cloning glitch work for hgss? I'm assuming they fixed it but does anyone know if it works?
Yup. They fixed it since Platinum.

If you off the map it resets. Give us more detail. Like how far away the wiggling patch was from the spot you started the radar.

Ex. If you go on any of the purple patch; it will reset even if the Pokémon is the correct pokemon you're chaining.

I'm pretty sure it was in the 4-square around me (as in on the map in the chaining help thread)

Additional info: Lead pokemon was a level 1 fainted magnemite with magnet pull, second was either Infernape or Vaporeon, level ~60, max repel in use.

Did the Repel run out before the wiggling spot?
K It is 100% possible for a wild Pokemon to appear if the first non fainted Pokemon is low or same level.
But your Level 1 Magnemite was fainted.

By the way did you follow a straight path or a 'L' pattern?

I've got two:
1. Should I stop working on my Mence for OU? Is he gone/expected to go now?
2. Any legal way to get any Rotom in DP these days? Just trade?

I'm pretty sure it didn't run out.

And it was an L pattern.

I'll keep an eye out if it happens again, though.

Does synchronize trigger off of self induced statuses, or environmental effects? For example, switching an Espeon into toxic spikes, will the enemy be poisoned, barring them being poison type?

How about an Espeon running Flame Orb?

Unfortunately, no, you can't send self induced status/Toxic Spikes Poison back at your opponent. It would be pretty cool if it did work like that considering Synchronize is basically useless right now.

1. It's up to you if you want to keep working on that Salamence. After all, no one's sure if it's going Uber or not.
2. This will only work if you have the National Dex. Go to Old Chateau (The haunted mansion in Eterna Forest) AT NIGHT. Then search the rooms. one of the rooms has a TV. Walk in front of the TV and press A. You should find a Lvl. 15 Rotom. Good Luck. Oh, and, it is the original forme.

cunt: Depends on which game. IIRC, you have to go to the basement of the Galactic Hideout in Eterna City in Platinum, and for HG/SS, I've read on other sites that you have to take the elevator in the Silph Co. building in Saffron City to the floor with the appliances if you have Rotom 1st in your party.

ztang: It's a wi-fi event, so you have to use Mystery Gift via Wi-fi to receive it it and talk to the guy at the Pokemart.

2 questions of my own:

1) Are there any good routes/straight-aways for egg hatching in HG/SS? The only one that I can think of that I've been using so far is Cycling Road...

2) Can I trigger the Arceus event multiple times in one game with different event Arceus, or can I only trigger it once per game?

how do you get the other rotom forms?

You can't change Rotom's form in D/P.

In Pt you need the Key Item: Secret Key. If you got this you'll need to go to the Galactic hideout in Eterna City. There, you can open an locked room using the Secret Key so you can change the Rotom form.

In HG/ SS you don't need a Key Item. Just take Rotom to the elavator in Silph Co. Rotom will activate the elavator and take you to a room where you can change his form.

When you're trying to get into a certian pokemon group on the pokewalker, do u have to register the number of steps in 1 walk or is it cumulative on that route? i.e. Beldum is 8000+ steps, do i need to achieve that in one stroll or over a number of strolls to have a chance to catch it?

1)Where do find a guide telling me how to receive a flawless PCP-Pichu? Which RNG-method is it?
2)When will the event Raikou/Entei/Celebi be released and in which versions?

1) Either that or the route just outside the day care...

2) You can activate the event two times, one with an event Arceus and one with an Arceus you caught in the Hall of Origin (which to my knowledge is unavailable without AR)

The steps stay on the Pokewalker for one day. So you can take 8000 steps, return your pokemon to the DS, and go for another stroll, and you will still have 8000 steps. You can even change routes and the steps will be the same. However, all your watts go back to the DS at the end of every stroll, so you will need to walk more to get watts. At 12:00 at night by your DS clock, the steps reset.
