My friend traded me a Jirachi and I am not sure if it is legit. The pokemon summary is

Pokedex No. 385

Name: JIRACHI

Type STEEL PSYCHIC

OT WISHMKR

ID No. 20043

My friend showed it to me before we traded and it says it came from a distant land on the trainer memo.

Can anyone tell me if it is legit or did my friend just shark it.

The only thing I can't confirm is the ID, but at least the '043' part is right. So, I'm like 90% sure it is a legit Jirachi.

CH stands for critical hit, correct? So what do I multiply by? I mean what do I substitute CH by?

Thanks.

If a Critical Hit occurs, damage is doubled (2.0 modifier) and defense modifiers such as Reflect/Light Screen (not sure about defense boosts like Harden, though) are ignored.

Got couple of questions.

1) What does STAB stand for? I know it means that if a Pokemon uses an attack with the same type as the Pokemon it will get multiplied by 1.5, but I want to know what does STAB represent ?

2) Does getting a perfect IV really matters? Would a difference of 4 IVs really affect the outcome of a battle?

3) Last night I was going through some damage calculations using MetalKid 's calculator and something made me curious. Why when I get the attack damage, it's usually a range of points? Shouldn't the attack damage be constant all the time?

Thanks in advance.
1) Same Type Attack Bonus
2) It can, but if you're really frustrated with breeding, don't worry too much.
3) Damage can range. There isn't an exact number of % the attack is going to take. It makes the game less predictable.

How do I use the pokeradar? Everytime I use it the proffesor says the message saying I can't use it right now, when can I use it?

Does pokerus affect vitamins like by doubling them? Do you still get the pokerus boost after they have been cured?

Do you gain EV's when in the daycare?

I don't think so. (How would the game determine which EVs to give?)

I'm not sure (I doubt it), and you still get the boost even after they have been cured.
And for the vitamins, I think you can only give 100 in a certain stat anyway, so if you fed a pokemon more than 5 vitamins, then you can rest assured that pokerus doesn't affect that.

A. Is competitor out yet? If yes, then where do I get it, if no, then when?

B. How does one figure out the IVs of a pokemon? Get it to level 5 with no EVs or something?

If a Pokemon weak to rock is holding a rock resist berry, will it be used up on stealth rock?
No it won't.

I check with an IV calculator what numbers the Pokémon needs to have 31 IV at level 10. The number you get is ALWAYS for IVs 30 or 31. One number lower means 20~29. That's very useful. There're also the messages Pokémon have in the profile, like "Mischievous" or "Alert to Sounds", they "show" you the stat your Pokémon has the highest IV and also shows what number this can be. There's a list somewhere, but I don't know where's it ....

I have a question, every Porygon got in DP with Trace will always evolve into Porygon-Z with Adaptibility right? It'll only have a chance to get Download if it's from previous generations right? I have to confirm this. Thanks in advance!

Yeah, I know, but I heared people that transfered Porygon2 with Trace from Emerald (Of course, it can't have Download there) evolved into Porygon-Z with Download.
