Well Subbing is best when you have 4x+1 HP and it turns out a LV 100 Pupitar with 31 IV in HP (which has 70 base HP, like a Magnezone does) will have 281 HP. I love you Netbattle.
if a pokemon is holding a burn orb and it has guts. once the burn orb is activated will the guts ability cancel the attack drop from the burn?

How does evolving to Rhyperior affect Rhydon's nature? Will Rock Head always become Solid Rock, or is there a 50% chance of it becoming Lightingrod as well? I ask because I'm breeding Rhyhorns and want to know what ability I should be looking for.

Does anyone know the stats of the poffin the guy gives you in the contest hall?
Rock Head always turns into Solid Rock if you're breeding Rhyhorns in DP. You're out of luck if you're doing it in Emerald, though, considering how weird Pal Park is with abilities.
Yes, I knew that, but I'm wondering about the flavor levels (as in how much it will raise each stat)It's 100% chance Rock Head will become Solid Rock, unless you've transfered it as a Rhydon. Then there's a 50% chance that it will become a Lightningrod Rhyperior.
It's a Mild Poffin. Lv60, Smooth 40. Might be reversed on the numbers, though.
Got couple of questions.
1) What does STAB stand for? I know it means that if a Pokemon uses an attack with the same type as the Pokemon it will get multiplied by 1.5, but I want to know what does STAB represent ?
STAB means Special Type Attack Boost
2) Does getting a perfect IV really matters? Would a difference of 4 IVs really affect the outcome of a battle?
Yes because it makes a diff of maxing a stat to give you a advantage over the enemy
3) Last night I was going through some damage calculations using MetalKid 's calculator and something made me curious. Why when I get the attack damage, it's usually a range of points? Shouldn't the attack damage be constant all the time?
No because theres a min damage and a max damage that it wuld work.
Thanks in advance.

Same Type Attack Bonus.

Sometimes, yes, especially in Speed. Generally, however, it seems that an IV of 25 and above is considered decent. A higher IV may also mean that you need less EV for the stat to have a desired value, so you can use those EV to boost another stat.

The tail end of the damage formula is a multiplier that takes a random value between 0.85 and 1, so with all other variables the same, damage may still vary slightly. Moves that cause fixed damage such as Dragon Rage or Night Shade do not take that multiplier into account.
Thanks in advance.
What are these damage calculators I keep hearing about?
Thanks for the quick help.
This may have been answered before, but can anyone tell me the formula to calculate damage?
Are there any magic numbers I should be aiming for on my Modest Calm Mind Lucario? (HP/Speed/SpAtk/SpDef)
