Is there any way to get a specific nature while breeding, aside from Everstone-holding females while breeding? I started breeding Bagon, yet I've had no Modest or Adamant versions yet (a couple of Lonely/Naughty), yet I came away with 5/6 Jolly natures. Is it completely random, or does it have something to do with parents and their natures which determines what I get in the end?

If so, what natures should I try to get on parents (aside from the nature inn question, of course...)

Does Leech Seed work like Being Confused? In the sense that when the Pokemon returns to it's Pokeball, the Leeching disappears?

They still get double EVs. It just means they can no longer spread PokeRus to other Pokemon.

Oh, good. I was wondering that as well.

I am not entirely sure if this belongs here, but I came up with a Suicune set and was wondering if it's viable. It's a counter for Gliscor on my unfinished team, which as of now consists of Weavile, Lucario, and Tyranitar.

Bold Suicune @ Leftovers
Pressure, 252 HP / 252 DEF / 4 SPATK
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Ice Beam / Surf
- Roar

The point is that it rests up, uses Sleep Talk, and either Roars away opponents or Ice Beams them. I'm thinking that Surf might be a better option, considering the STAB boost, but there seems to be more Dragons running around. What do you guys think?

Seems a bit iffy if you're trying to ReStalk Roar for pHazing, but I suppose it could work if you were going for just getting an enemy out of the way with either.

If you use Roar in a Double Battle, who runs away? The target or the entire side of the field you used it on?

will sleep talk allow nroar to work against a pokemon if i have been taunted?

eg.gyarados used taunt!

empoleon is asleep! empoleon used sleep talk!

empoleon used roar?

yes/no?

Do Mesprit and Cresselia change natures or they are set from the first time you see/active them/make them run around?I think they are set,but can somebody confirm.....

Once you talk to them, the nature/IVs are set.
But you can save in front of them and soft reset for good natures/IVs.

this may sound silly, but i never understood why tyranitar and garchomp got the names boah (tyraniboah) and chain (chainchomp), respectively. thanks in advance

You mean when they're Pal Parked?

According to gamefaqs, "they will have the same exact stats, OT, location, moveset, EVs, nature, and form as they were in the original game.". I haven't tested it but I believe it's true.

A Pokemon's ability has a chance to change upon evolution after being Pal Parked.

And no, you can't check it without a cheating device.

This may sound silly, but tyraniboah was so named because it was named after some guy named Boa who invented it. Or because tyranitar looks kinda like a boa constrictor. I still don't know what tyraniboah is or what moves are on it.

Also, Chain Chomp was named because Surgo invented it and his real name is Chompy McChompChomp.

...maaaaaybe the chain part has something to do with stealth rock. Otherwise, search me. >_>

Chain Chomp was named after a enemy from Mario:

Boah was nicknamed due to this:

SuBstitute
FOcus Punch
ThundAhbolt
CruncH

But honestly the name Chain Chomp always puzzled me

Tyraniboah was invented by Chaos and Jumpman16, and I'm pretty sure it was named Boah because some brazilian spectator said "boah" while Tyranitar was out raping everything.

Tyraniboah had the following moves in advance: Substitute, Focus Punch, Crunch and Thunderbolt. It's purpose was to destroy stall teams which were quite popular. I'm unsure about if Boah changed any in D/P, though I've seen some people use Ice Beam.

Is this moveset legal on an Arcanine?
-Substitute
-Thunder Fang
-Agility
-Flare Blitz
Thunder Fang is a tutor move i think once you evolve it to arcanine, so you lvl up till growlithe learns agility and crunch, evolve using fire stone, use a TM to give it sub, then tutor Thunder Fang onto it.
