I'm trying to attempt at IV breeding for Hidden Power for the first time, trying to get a good Hidden Power for Gorebyss.

After gathering a bunch of Clamperl, I have the right numbers to make HP Ice, but don't really need that since I have another on my team with Ice attacks, and Gorebyss could get Ice Beam anyways.

Should I try to get a 30 Speed for HP Electric, or a 30 Special Attack and 31 Speed for Grass? The analysis recommends Grass, but if I'm not using Ice Beam I could use Electric for birds and Surf for ground-types.

I think grass is reccomended for coverage against waters like Swampert and Gastrodon. I would use HP Electric, myself, along with Ice Beam for Dragon coverage.

Unrelated, but you're Wilhemina from Gaia, aren't you? I would recognize that sprite anywhere. I used to go there a lot a few years ago.

Hah, yeah that's me. XD

Well, I guess it's too bad I have to ditch the 31 Special Attack for Grass, but I was going to use Choice Specs anyways.

Honestly, it really depends on what you're scared of more: Skarm and other fliers, or Swampert and other Ground/Waters. If it were me, I would go for HP Electric.

I can't remember if I ever really talked to you or if I just saw you around, but you were big in the Q&A, weren't you? I used to be as well; with Valgav and Cloud Tribal and whoever else was in that crew.

Does the everstone trick not work on smeargle?
I have a male smeargle... And i'm breeding a female impish rhydon holding everstone...
12 eggs so far, not a single impish one :|
Am i just getting unlucky?

Is the Rhydon holding the Everstone?

If not then that's your problem right there.

If she is, then yeah, you're having a run of bad luck. =\

Yep, now I'm just one of the bigger no-it-alls on Pokemon in the gaming discussion areas. I read here more than I speak; too gimmicky to really share my strategies but do my homework to make sure my gimmicks aren't too farfetched.

@ No Chocolate: I think they just get healed, with no other side effects.

Can someone give a reason why Infernape owns Charizard?

It's sorta apples and oranges, but, let's see... Infernape is faster, only takes 12.5% from Stealth Rock compared to 50% for Charizard, has that nice Fighting STAB, has Grass Knot and a bigger movepool overall... Note that Charizard also has characteristics over Infernape, though.

Sunnyshore City. Building in the upper left hand corner. There's a guy that sells pokeball seals there and a woman that gives out the ribbon.

Does anyone know how I can check the legitimacy of Pokemon without Pokesav? If not, can someone point me in the direction of someone who does?

check the place optained, date optained, Ball it's in, and If all moves are PP maxed, that could be a bad sign.
