i can't post in the D/P analysis threads, probably because my e-mail isn't verified. sadly, i accidently deleted this e-mail. where can i ask for another one?

I am currently making a team for the Battle Tower.

If I lead with SpecsLatios and back it up with LifeOrb Metagross with Bullet Punch, what should be my last Pokemon. I was thinking a good fighting type like Lucario but I really need some final advice.

If you're posting here at all, your e-mail has been verified. You can't post in the analysis threads because only admins\mods\badgeholders can.

Maybe a Milotic? I use a Latias, Metagross and Milotic.

Milotic: Covers Metagross's ground and Fire weakness. Lati@s' Dragon weakness(to an extent)
Lati@s: Covers Milotic's Electric and Grass weakness.
Metagross: Covers Lati@s' Dragon, Dark, Bug. (and other various Physical Threats).

Or you could put any other bulky water there. Milotic, from experience is most reliable in staying alive(next to bliss).

How does a Milotic cover Metagross' ground weakness (it doesn't have Levitate you know). And my team some how has problems with Zapdos so I don't like putting Milotic there.

I need something to cover bug, dark and ghost attacks well. Fighting types do a good job but I don't know who to put.

Erm, you could try Heracross/Lucario/Medicham? There are a few good fighters you can use there.

On shoddy battle, when i use baton pass and the opponent switches out on the same turn, i can see what they have switched to before i choose what i am switching to... is this a bug or is this how it works in game as well?

thanks

That's because you have to remember that Baton Pass is still a move. Just like if you use Flamethrower or something. If the opponent switches on the turn you use Flamethrower, they switch out first and then you use Flamethrower.

Here's something interesting that happened to me on Shoddy, yesterday:

I had Mesprit out and my opponent switched in Snorlax on my Psychic or whatever. I wanted to switch to Gallade, but I expected a Pursuit, thus I decided to use U-turn in an attempt to reduce the damage (I might've been wrong on that part; I'm not sure). Snorlax, indeed, used Pursuit. It went FIRST.

Is that a bug or is that really possible?

Pursuit always goes first. If they would have gone second, pursuit would deal double-damage.

Pursuit is a trapper move and not even U-Turn can escape the trap.

How long does it usually take you guys to finalize a good team?

I've been constructing an all-dog team, which was doing okay at first, but every time I make a change the team gets worse o_O

It's usually a couple of days of battling and several days of research for me... I think. I've been doing so much of it, lately, that I can't keep track.

Hey guys does anyone know what happens when:

Turn 1:
Ttar (or whatever) is switched in!
<example> uses substitute.

Turn 2:
<example> switches out.
Ttar used Pursuit!

Does Pursuit hit the Pokemon switching out or will it hit the substitute? Since switching negates a bunch of stuff (leech seed, Toxic counter etc etc.) will the pursuit act as if the sub was never there? Just wanted to ask to see if this should be added to the resource thread, can anyone test/confirm?

Dunno if this is limited to battle questions, but can anyone get REALLY specific on where to find the Rain Dance TM on Route 213? ^^()

I've been up and down it and found nothing.

There's a house there.
Go in, and give 10 Blue Shard (found underground) to the person there.

About Breeding

Ok this is the scenario im trying to breed Skarmory the eggs moves Brave Bird and Whirlwind but im not making a dent. I bred staraptor to skarmory to get brave bird and got a female skarm so then i tried to breed pidgeotto with that female skarmory with the brave bird and the egg came out with another skarmory but only with just whirlwind instead of brave bird what did i do wrong.

Only male pokémon can pass down egg moves, you need fearow if you wish to get a WW and drill peck skarmory.

EDIT:@below:look up...

That's Route 212. I mean the one that you pick up off the ground.

Can't inherit moves from female pokemon. Only the males moves are transfered. The baby receives the mother's species and the father's moves. (As well as any basic moves)

only the male parent can pass a move

male staraptor brave brid + female pidgey -> male pidgey with brave bird
level up pidgey til it learns whirlwind + female skarmory -> baby skarmory with both
