Wait, so I CAN get a poison heal TPunch breloom?
No because you can only get t-punch on breloom and the abilty doesn't change til it evolves.
O RLY? Someone on GFAQs wrote that his perfect Impish Solid Rock Rhydon evolved into a Lightningrod Rhyperior.
Anything that got a new ability for its evolution has this chance.
Poygon2 to porygonz and rhydon-rhyperior being the ones i know of.
Basically the ids that each ability were set to were switched around.
A 3rd gen rhydon with rock head could become either lightningrod or solid rock. A 4th gen rhydon however will always change from rock head to solid rock.

Ouch.

Looks like I'm going to have to abuse Emerald Cloning to ensure I get one that switches. Thanks you two.

It doesn't work like that. If you clone a Pokemon, it's still the exact same Pokemon. So if your Clefairy keeps Cute Charm when it evolves, the clone ones will too.

But you could

Clone, Pal park one of them then see if it changed, go back and start cloning that one if it did :naughty:

Yeah, the best way to do it is right when you check IVs at level 1 or 5 or however you normally do it, clone, pal park, and evolve. Don't waste any more time than that if the pokemon doesn't have the ability and just go back to making babies in emerald.

Sucks but worth it for a move tutor move and Poison Heal, Magic Guard, No Guard, or Rivalry (did I miss any?).

Glad I checked back here before I attempted it then. Looks like it may be a little harder than I thought if it doesn't change. Oy. Thanks.

can someone tell me how endeavour sceptile works?

scenerio 1
since you will be outspeeding most pokemon even with -sp nature, you will attack first with full hp so endeavour does nothing.

scenerio 2
you are still faster than your opponent but you do not endeavour and use a normal attack. your opponent then attacks you and brings you down to 1hp. the next turn you endeavour him down to 1 hp but on the same turn he kills you before u can dish out a quick attack.

can someone please help me with what i am not getting? or is sceptile just not suited for endeavour?

[SET]
name: Endeavor
move 1: Substitute / Endure
move 2: Endeavor
move 3: Quick Attack
move 4: Leaf Storm
item: Petaya Berry / Salac Berry
nature: Timid / Modest
evs: 252 SpAtk / 252 Spd / 4 Def

[SET COMMENTS]

This set can potentially almost KO two of your opponent’s Pokemon. After Substituting down to 1 HP, or Enduring a potentially KOing hit, Petaya Berry activates and, together with Overgrow and STAB, makes Leaf Storm a potential OHKO on many things. After KOing that Pokemon, Endeavor the Pokemon switching in to almost KO it. Quick Attack is if, in your final Substitute, the opponent switches out, leaving your Substitute intact. In that case, Endeavor first and then Quick Attack the foe for the KO, and then Leaf Storm the next Pokemon. Salac Berry is an option if you want to make sure that you outrun your opponent after setting up.
