If a pokemon holding the power bracer beats a gastly, will that pokemon still receive the extra 4 attack EVs with the 1 special attack EVs from gastly?

please answer, i'd like to know what egg moves i should go for X_X

Snorlax is a special wall no matter what. It has amazing HP, and great SpDef. I would personally use the Curse set. It really screws people up when you get it going. After two Curses your Defense is over 400, SpDef is over 300, and HP is over 500. On top of that, your attack will be pushing 600 or more. Slap return and Rest on there with a Lum Berry and you're good to go.

I see the fourth move is up in the air, what would you recommend?

That's kind of a tough one. Body Slam will take care of Tyranitar, though very slowly. At least it Paralyzes. So for your last move it's pretty much up to you. If you're afraid of being completely walled by Gengar, go with Crunch. If you use Crunch, Skarmory and Forrestress will ruin you. On the bright side, Skarm will probably just Whirlwind you out anyway, while Forretress will set up 3 layers of Spikes and laugh at you.

What about fire punch? Or earthquake? Can it pull off fire blasts well?

Where's a good place to EV train for HP? Serebii says to kill Shellos and Bidoof at the Windworks, but I'm too impatient. Plus, seems like there's more Buizel and Pachirisu than anything.

Ok, so I might see that I might use Flygon for a Mixed sweeper, because Rash seems like a decent nature.

@ Life Orb

Roost
Earth Power
Draco Meteor
Stone Edge

That's what I thought off the top of my head.

1) Is this probably worth it to begin with?
2) Uh... EVs? Perhaps? I'm assuming 252 Speed, but the rest?

I know this is a shady question, but I seriously thank the person that can help me.

Fire Punch works, too, but FB will do more to Skarm. EQ is good for taking out any Rock/Steel who tries to wall your Body Slam, but it can't hit Skarm or Ghosts. Kind of a tough choice, eh?

Totally. I guess I'll go with this:

Snorlax@Chesto Berry
Careful
Whatever the spread is, tailored to my IVs
Rest
Curse
Body Slam/Return
Fire Blast/Fire Punch

What is the percent of paralysis for body slam? And I'm assuming I should'nt switch him in to a PorygonZ or Salamence, according to the analysis...

South of Solaceon, right under the running couple is a cowgirl who has 5 Bidoof. Gives an easy 50 EVs per battle with Pokerus and whatever Power Item adds HP.

Sorry for the delay in responding. Body Slam has a 30% Paralyze rate. Pretty damn good.

How do EV reducing berries work? If I lost count when EV training a Pokemon and it's EVs in Speed are somewhere above 100 like 133 or something, and I use an EV reducing berry that reduces the EVs in that particular stat, will it reduce it to 100 or by 10 only? I'm confused.

If it's over 100, then the first berry will put it to 100.

Thanks. I was really confused because people started telling me on GameFAQs that the first berry reduces it to 100 now if it's over 100. I always knew it took away 10 EV points since Emerald. I wonder who was the first person to discover this change...

I checked this thread, and calculated the catch rate for 31 IV'd Arceus, with 1 HP and sleeping, using Dusk Ball. I got 0.4677....... Is that correct? I mean, almost 50% chance to catch?

I got:

0.4683 - 0.4684 depending on HP IV

Surprising, isn't it? Almost 47% catch rate at night.

It sure is, and I also tested lvl 5, then it's 0,4576.... Not much of a difference.

Also, Starly lvl 100, 1 HP left, no status and regular Pokéball: 0.993.....
Starly lvl 5, 1 HP left: 0.962.....

Not hurt lvl 100: 0.332...
lvl 5: 0.332 with a difference at the fifth or sixth decimal.

A few Questions.....
Are there and zero priority attacks that Me First will not copy (assuming the user is faster)?
Are the any less than zero priority moves that Me First can copy?

If a faster pokemon were to use me first on a slower pokemon that chooses explosion/self-destruct, would the slower pokemon still explode (assuming it survives) if the me first performed a succesful blow-up? or would it give the "there was no target" message?

Are the any less than zero priority moves that Me First can copy? There's a pinch berry that makes you able to go first. And I assume that the attacks Me First won't copy are the same as those Sleep Talk and attacks like that won't use.

What is a counter to a team of the following:
Swampert
Azelf
Electivire
Specsmence
Gyarados
Blissey
RestTalk Cresselia, Bold, 252 HP/252 Sp. Def
Rest
Sleep Talk
Ice Beam
Charge Beam

Stops Azelf and Electivire, Threatens Gyara and Mence with 4x SE moves, and add a Mixape or something for Swampert/Blissey.
