If you use focus punch, and the other person uses roar/whirlwind, am I right in assuming you do not get the punch off?

Like this?

X is tightening its focus
Y used whirlwind
Z was pulled out

No (!)

Move Priority Tiers
+5 Helping Hand
+4 Snatch, Magic Coat
+3 Follow Me
+2.5 Focus Punch (charge)
+2 Protect, Detect, Endure, Feint
+1 all "Quick Attack" moves, Extremespeed, Fake Out, Bide, Sucker Punch
*0 Sleep Talk, Assurance, Me First, Payback, Everything else
-1 Vital Throw
-2 Focus Punch
-3 Revenge, Avalanche
-4 Counter, Mirror Coat
-5 Roar, Whirlwind
-6 Trick Room

Roar and Whirlwind will always strike later than Focus Punch

So does the characteristic on a pokemon's description display it's highest IV or is it just a random IV? For example, if I am trying to breed a yanma with flawless SpAtk ad Speed will it display either mischievous or alert to sounds or will just a random IV be put in the description?

Can someone recommend a nice EV spread and nature for a Vespiquen? It'll most likely end up as Trick Room support, probably as a defensive sweeper, and won't be facing anyone above BL.

What 4 move combination provides the most super effective hits? Is there anything more than the 13/17 provided by Standard Electivire?

The only pure types Standard Electivire doesn't hit SE are Fighting, Psychic, Bug, and Ghost. Fighting covers 5 types, Ice covers another 4 types, Ground hits yet another 3 (Fighting covers Rock and Steel), and Electric covers one more (Ice also gets Flying). For more coverage, substitute Electric (which will exchange Water coverage) for:

--Flying for Fighting and Bug coverage.
--Ghost for Ghost and Psychic coverage.
or
--Dark for Ghost and Psychic coverage.

Looking at Serebii's type chart, I'm very confident that that's the best you can do.

In fact, Fighting, Ice, and Ground cover so many types that only one Pokemon can't be hit for neutral damage from either type: Surskit. >< Taking Fighting out of that equation doesn't change that, either!* (And a Flying attack can then hit it SE! lol)

*That's why the Ground / Ice combination is comparable to Ghost / Fighting and Electric / Ice, right now.

So,
-Flying/Ghost/Dark
-Fighting
-Ground
-Ice

gets 14/17 types SE, excluding dual-type Pokemon?

Which egg moves should I breed onto a Nincada if I want to have both a ninjask and shedinja from the same pokemon?
None of the common sets require egg moves, just that you delay your evolution until 25 so that shedinja can get swords dance. You could get night slash if you really wanted it though I suppose.

Thanks, exactly what I was looking for.

By the by, can a Ninjask work with Adamant? What will it not outspeed with max speed IV's and EV's?

How should an EV spread be for this Chimchar

Hidden Power (ICE)
Thunderpunch
Close Combat
Flame Thrower

I was thinking a split on the attk/spattk and maximizing speed while using life orb. Your thoughts?

When checking a jap pokemon with the pika cheat detector do you have to run pokesav with applocale or could you just run it normally(the names appear in symbols). Is the result still accurate or flawed please answer quickly I really need to know thanks
