You don't, simple as that. The game makes you save before you're able to check their stats.

Really that sucks so bad I wanted a good(if not great) BP Zapdos or Heal bell Articuno. But I guess I should content myself in SRing for lugia instead. But who knows maybe I'll be extremely lucky and actually caught an awesome version of both.

One more question though: If you defeat those 3 birds then they'll go to mirror B can you SR for them there or are their natures and ivs set?

Fire Red vs. Leaf Green:

Which one is better and more preferred?

They're pretty balanced if you asked me but I have a preference to Leaf Green(because of the Slowpoke family).

Actually, it is possible to soft reset for the XD Legendary birds and Lugia. When fighting any Pokemon on XD, they are randomly generated each time when you fight them, or they appear in a battle situation. I noticed this was possible, because near the start, Thug Zook's Zangoose was female when he fights the Alakazam. Later on, you fight him again (before you are able to Snag the Zangoose) and this time it was male. I kept one Pokemon unlevelled to test the theory, and sure enough, I observed the Zangoose was doing less damage the third time (the fight where you are able to snag Zangoose), and by this time was female again.

I also did some research by soft resetting against the Hexagon Brothers early in the game. It seems that even if you lose a battle, the Shadow Pokemon is randomly generated rather than matching the same stats as you fought it last, unlike Colosseum, where the stats are fixed after the first time you fight it (you can still soft reset for them first time in Colosseum as normal, but if you KO the Shadow Pokemon and try to fight it later it will have the same stats).

This therefore means you can potentially get good IVs on every Shadow Pokemon you can get! You can either soft reset against the first battle, or KO the Shadow Pokemon and refight Wanderer Miror B. Against Greevil however the situation changes. His Shadow Pokemon do not run away, and are just replaced with different ones if snagged. The easiest way is to KO every other of his Pokemon except one or two, capture the one you want, and lose the fight. That's right, lose. You will still have captured the Pokemon you wanted, and you can still return to Greevil and repeat for his other Shadow Pokemon if necessary.

is there any place to battle online?

google shoddy battle

does IVs for hp, defense and special defense matter on mixape?

I have one with 31 in atk, spd, and sp atk, and one with 31 in atk and spd with the rest at 20+ so I want to know if infernape survives any sort of hit.

ok thanks wtf does shoddy mean?

shod·dy
/ˈʃɒdi/ [shod-ee] adjective, -di·er, -di·est, noun, plural -dies.

–adjective
1. of poor quality or inferior workmanship: a shoddy bookcase.
2. intentionally rude or inconsiderate; shabby: shoddy behavior.

–noun
3. a fibrous material obtained by shredding unfelted rags or waste.
4. anything inferior, esp. a handmade item or manufactured product.

Stupid Question here but in a need to know situation.

I am woundering how how/where are some of you guys are making them Avatars that a mixing Pokemon together to make a knew one, I am wanting to do that I have I have no idea where to start looking, could someone please help me out with that?

I have a question.

I was checking my ditto's iv's in emerald, and I talked to the frontier guy that tells you your pokemon's Iv's (the guy that says that stat is flawless, yeah that one)

well, he said my ditto's speed was outstanding, which mean it was below 31 but close to 30 or is 30, so I checked ditto's iv's on a caculator it said that ditto's spdef was 29.

since the frontier guy said that my ditto's speed was outstanding and never said anything about spdef after five tries. I assumed my ditto had a 30 in speed (perfect for trying to get a hidden power fighting misdreavous)

so I transfered the ditto to pearl version to absolutely make sure it had that 30 Iv, but when I retyped in the caculations for lv 100.

it said that ditto's speed was 31...
how can that be if the fronteir guy said that my speed was outstanding, NOT flawless.

I was using serebiis iv caculator by the way.
and i'm positive it wasn't a typing mistake.

A simple way to tell is to see if it's description matches, if it has 31 IVs, then it should say "Alert to Sounds" or if 30 "Likes to Run". It was most likely a mistake on Serebii's Calculator

The bolded bit won't work, because in XD you have to win to keep anything you snagged. If you lose, the Pokemon you snagged runs away, like if you KO it. This means that Greevil's team is unique, in that they're "un-soft-reset"able, because if you lose, you don't keep the Pokemon and if you win, you've finished the game and have to save. And I too have noticed the amazing gender-bending Zangoose.

Hey I got a stupid question I can't seem to find an answer for. If you are facing a Pokemon with the Ability Snow Warning or Sandstream, would you be able to use Sunny Day or Rain Dance to counteract the effects of Snow Warning and Sandtream? Or would it cancel it until the next round and the effects would take over again?

I could see it working more against the moves Hail or Sandstorm.

Any info would help. Thank You.

No, it's gone permanently. The Pokemon with Sandstream or Snow Warning will have to switch out and switch back in again to activate the ability again.

Alright, simple question I guess: As far as the whole "Everstone trick" for breeding, does it work on FR/LG? And I guess while I'm at it, will the Synchronize trick work as well? Sorry if these sound abstract a bit.

The everstone trick doesn't work in FR/LG, just Emerald and D/P. Synchronize working on egg moves you mean? No.

I meant for finding the Pokemon with the "Synchronized" nature I guess.

Shoot, that ruins my chances greatly for getting Body Slam Dusknoir. Thanks Hungry.

But what if you beat Greevil but not catch anything the first time(since you start off by SRing for Lugia). Then the three birds go to Mirror B right? There you can catch them one by one and SR along the way. Please enlighten me on this subject i really want awesome special-move birds. Thanks :D

One more thing can you SR for Ho-Oh? or is it based on luck?
