Who does this job the best, Chansey or Blissey?

Leftovers/Evolite
Natural Cure
Bold
252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpD
Aromatherapy
Softboiled
Seismic Toss
Toxic

PokeGen is a rather grey area because you CAN generate legal PIDs, and so far its quite hard to hack-check during VGCs unless you are a complete retard at PokeGen(for example underlevelled stuff, or wrong capture location)

Hey S4J

To make this post useful: Is there any possible way Manaphy will be re-tested in the future? If not, then prove me wrong on this: Manaphy was OU due to Drizzle, and was broken because of double-STAB boosts and Hydration-Rest. So, since UU doesn't have any Drizzle Pokémon, Manaphy is not broken in UU. The only thing it'd then have over its BST-600 pixie friends is Tail Glow, and Celebi/Mew get NP which is good enough when you take Recover into account.

(Mods, if you're going to delete this post because of the quote I replied to, please just edit that out instead as I'd like answers for my question/strange logic)

Chansey. Only use Blissey if you need to run Flamethrower/Ice Beam.

Chansey's overall bulk makes it better if it's not running any attacking moves (seismic toss doesn't count), but Blissey is needed if you want to run anything not called Seismic Toss for an attacking move.

Blissey is a better Wishpasser too, right? At least that's what I was lead to believe.

If you're talking about the size of wishes, that really doesn't make much of a difference since they both have such huge hp stats, especially since their max wishes are near identical at level 100 (Chansey 352 vs. Blissey 357).

Would Blissey function better under Sandstorm regardless of move set due to being able to use Leftovers to cancel the weather dmg?
I run a WishBliss set on my Sandstorm stall with a Wish / Protect / Seismic Toss / Toxic moveset. Is this sub-par?

Not sure if this belongs here, but I'd like to know if there's some kind of guide on the site on how to make the most out of the pokemon dream world, namely, hints for getting the pokemon you are actually looking for without losing a whole day waiting to enter again. :/

I'm not sure if this really belongs here, but I'll give it a shot. I just bought a 3DS, but I traded in my two original DS's. All I have now is my DS Lite and my 3DS. I didn't want 4 DS's because I wouldn't have a need for all 4. I always like to have two of Nintendo's handhelds (for Pokemon -- for trading reasons, and also for when friends or little cousins come over wanting to play).

Now my question is this (I'm just paranoid...): Will the 3DS be able to connect to the DS Lite if I ever want to play against another friend (and they have the copy of the game) or trade Pokemon from one of my games to another (like Diamond to Pearl or Platinum, and Black to White, etc.)? I'm sure it does connect to the DS Lite when I have DS (not 3DS) games in my 3DS, but I just want to make sure 100%. I would test this out myself, but unfortunately when I went to buy one they were all out so it'll be shipped to my house.

Thanks in advance to anyone who answers.

1. Chansey - better overall bulk than Blissey
2. Dusclops - bulkier than Dusknoir, great defensive spinblocker
3. Porygon2 - very bulky, has Recover, and Trace is potentially very useful
4. Murkrow - fairly bulky, has priority PerishTrapping and Roost thanks to Prankster

The rest of these should only really be used in lower tiers, where their fully evolved forms can't be used. Otherwise, they're very outclassed. They're all useful because they do the same things their fully evolved forms do, but are usable in lower tiers (and some are overall bulkier, like Rhydon and Tangela)

5. Rhydon
6. Ferroseed
7. Tangela
8. Gligar
9. Magneton
10. Golbat
11. Gurdurr
12. Shelgon
13. Metang
14. Duosion
15. Piloswine

Keep in mind that these are just my opinions. I have seen all of these Pokemon used to great effect with Eviolite, in various tiers

So another defense pokemon ok I think i should go with Metang Becuase i hear he is pretty bulky

You can edit a quote into your previous post instead of double-posting.

Anyone have any thoughts on my Manaphy thing? Makes sense, yes?

While there might be some logic to putting Manaphy in a rainless UU, I'm afraid things just don't work that way. For instance, Wobbuffet is nowhere near broken in RU, but it can't be used down there because it was banned in UU.

I know the tiering system doesn't work that way, but Manaphy just isn't Uber material without infinite rain.

FR/LG Wi-Fi battle.. How is this even possible?

Or you could use the multiquote button. It's kinda what it's there for.

It's the "+ Button to the right of the Quote Button on every post. If you press it on any number of posts and then hit the standard Quote Button on the last, you quote all of them in the same post.

Ok thanks

Chansey. Only use Blissey if you need to run Flamethrower/Ice Beam.

Chansey's overall bulk makes it better if it's not running any attacking moves (seismic toss doesn't count), but Blissey is needed if you want to run anything not called Seismic Toss for an attacking move.
So if I'm replacing Seismic Toss for say... Flamethrower, Blissey does it better?
Since I usually battle over C-gear with my friends, my Pokémon become level 50. So Seismic Toss is kind of a no there.

I know the tiering system doesn't work that way, but Manaphy just isn't Uber material without infinite rain.

But that doesn't matter practically since there is infinite rain outside of the Uber tier. If there wasn't (Politoed/Drizzle being banned being the only way that happens), Manaphy would be re-allowed in OU, and then would have a chance of falling into UU. It might not make much sense, but (though I hate using this argument) it's too much of a slippery slope. Manaphy isn't the only Pokemon that would be less useful in a lower tier lacking a certain external element.

Think about it. By that logic, wouldn't it make sense to test Excadrill down in RU? There's no infinite Sandstorm down there to give him God speed. Without it he's only base 88 and out-sped by over half the top twenty down there. He's also slightly less bulky than Emboar. Now, I acknowledge this is probably a ridiculous example, but the fact that a case for allowing the 8th most used Pokemon two tiers down could be raised by your logic in my mind illustrates that there is something wrong with it.

What you're suggesting is a complex ban (Manaphy can be used in any tier other than OU (and RU provided it doesn't fall that far)). However, it is, by my understanding, Smogon's desire to pursue bans that are as simple as possible. Even "Manaphy cannot be used on teams with Drizzletoad" is simpler, though still more complex than "Manaphy can only be be used in Ubers." I acknowledge that we have already seen a complex ban, but that was one of necessity. Drizzle+SwSw was deemed so broken that a quick fix was needed at least temporarily. However, in this case, a complex ban would be enacted simply for the sake of doing so. HydraRest+Drizzle wasn't broken, and Drizzle wasn't broken (or at least hasn't been deemed such yet). Manaphy+Drizzle was the broken element, so Manaphy was banned.

tl;dr: Allowing Manaphy in UU would start stupid arguments based on the established precedent (Excadrill, Toxicroak, etc.). Simple bans are best when possible.

I did not know that either. Thank you, that is very useful.

wat evs and nature should i give my scarf imposter ditto (just a standard one)

Max HP, nothing else matters barring a struggle war against another Ditto.

In what instance would a type-resist berry (i.e Occa, Shuca etc.) be better then a Focus Sash?

And what would happen in this instance. I'm using Honchkrow, against an Arcanine. I choose Sucker Punch, and he chooses ExtremeSpeed. Would SP just fail?

ExtremeSpeed would go first, and since the move is already used, Sucker Punch fails.

When the user is not frail and is fairly bulky. For example, heatran would rather have shuca than a sash since it is fairly bulky and wont be one-shoted often, but ground attacks can KO it

@ idontusehackedpokes - I've been laddering a bit now with the Armaldo on my team in OU, and he's been doing really well for the team actually. Here's the set that I've been using.

Armaldo (M) @ Leftovers Trait: Battle Armor
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
- Rapid Spin
- Knock Off
- Protect
- Low Kick

This guy can take physical hits really well in most cases, living from a Terrakion CC i think. (could someone calc how much damage a max attack Terrakion CC does to this?) The stealth rock weakness hurts, but protect helps get through that, as well as make some good stall kills if the opponent is dying from non attack damage. Rapid spin supports the team nicely, and Knock off is great at neutering some more item reliant pokemon. Low Kick OHKO's Tyrannitar, which is almost never expected, so I can get a free kill and then use hail with another pokemon to shut down the annoying weather. He's been a great team player in most cases.

edit: and also, battle armor is an excellent ability, so at least I can be comforted that I won't be haxed to death by a stray crit.

could someone calculate how much damage Low Kick from this set does to a blissey with max HP and Def?
